Chapter 45: Priced Possession
Sera was too excited thinking back to Lucifer's words. Her ears were ringing nonstop, the same sweet words repeating in her head!
"Date? My first date? With Lucifer", Sera almost screamed in excitement.
As Sera was lost in her daydreaming her phone buzzed,
"Hello", she absentmindedly picked up.
"Hey, gorgeous wanna go for a ride?", Maya's voice crashed in her ears.
"Maya! It's been weeks since I last heard from you!", Sera forgot all about her date.
"Sorry babe, but I'm here in your city! Let's meet up, Xav's here for a deal. Some rich king wanted his babies", Maya here was referring to guns!
"Oh! I totally forgot about Xav, So it's probably girls day out I guess", Sera quipped.
"Yah, I'll pick you up tomorrow?"
"Yes", Sera happily obliged.
Ethan had finished his important meeting with the CEO of Lim conglomerate, Mr Lim Sheng, when assistant Chen entered carrying some documents.
"Sir, I've brought the contract. It's already been signed by Mr Lim"
"What about the thing I had asked you?"
"It'll be done in a days time sir"
"Hmm"
Lucifer went back to his penthouse with a brooding look on his face, he looked worried. Adrian came and saw him looking all worried thinking about something he hurriedly spoke,
"Don't worry, the guy will be here tomorrow. He's the best in the market, you know that too"
"Huh?!", Lucifer came out of his daze listening to Adrian's words.
"Xav? You didn't forget did you?", Adrian questioned.
"Of course, Of course not!", Lucifer cursed silently, he had indeed forgotten and now his date was gonna get ruined by his stupid plans made weeks ahead! He literally wanted to pull his hair off his scalp.
The next day, Lucifer was sitting at a large room with French windows, Oakwood door, a large table with different sized cases placed on it, a comfortable leather chair, and different sized bar stools at the mini bar.
A few burly men guarding the doors, while Adrian stood next to Lucifer and a stylishly dressed man stood at the centre with his signature smile.
Lucifer was lazily plopped up on the large leather chair, his expression that of disinterest. He was looking forward to his date with his girl, now he was looking at lifeless metals instead of her lively expressions and bright eyes!
Looking at Lucifer's expression Xav knew something wasn't right. The man whose eyes gleamed with excitement at the thought of these metal trinkets was sulking like a child whose lollipop had been snatched, he couldn't be Lucifer, right?
Xav composed himself, he was a pro at dealing with all kinds of beings so naturally he was experienced and wasn't a least bit effected by Lucifer's cold expression.
Strutting forward Xav smiled and greeted the men, Lucifer and Adrian.
He then proceeded to open the caskets placed to reveal the most stunning masterpieces in the world.
"Gentlemen, here I present you the most priced possession of mine. The world famous, engraved 'Mervin Hulbert Single Action Revolver', It is a beautifully engraved revolver with rose patterns the gold like color is indeed 22k gold, while the engraved roses are the world famous red diamonds", Xav proudly displayed his collection making Adrian drool.
Sera was all dressed, ready to go and kill it with her bff, dressed in a biker chic jacket with jeggings, when Su Yin dropped by.
Su Yin wanted Sera to accompany her on a brunch but Sera politely declined her friend, making her pout her little mouth.
"I'll definitely make it up to you yinyin", she softly smiled.
Maya was already present at the cafe in the neighborhood when Sera arrived. She ran upto her friend and pulled her into a hug,
"Let's go, I'm ready", Sera looked excited and pulled Maya out of the cafe to her BMW S1000 RR, sports bike in shining silver.
The girls rode away, turning heads on their way. Sera giggled, Maya looked through the mirror and found Sera was really happy. Maya felt her decision to spend time with Sera was good one, feeling relieved.
They reached a racing track at the outskirts of the city, It wasn't a countryside but a dedicated space for racing and fun!
Maya was a pro at racing and Sera was her number one fan!! The race was about to begin, Sera got off from the bike letting Maya prepare herself.. She stood with the crowd cheering for Maya.
