Just like before, Kaneuma took out another small box from his pocket. Akimasa noticed that right now Kaneuma seemed to be pensive. But only briefly, after a red light in the box lit up, Kaneuma pressed a green button.
Just like before, after three seconds, Akimasa heard a popping sound from a distance. Akimasa didn't know if it was the sound of a bomb being installed inside the house two kilometers away or something else. Two kilometers was far enough away that they most likely couldn't hear the bomb. Moreover, they are in a tightly closed room. So the popping sound that Akimasa just heard might not be the sound of a bomb.
Kaneuma sighed. He then pointed to his men, who were still in the room. Including Kaneuma, there were still seven members of the raid horde. One by one, they left the room. Just like before, they moved towards the kitchen. Until finally Kaneuma himself was still here.
Kaneuma walked around the room. He looked at the faces of the people who were here. He walked back to the center of the room.
"I apologize to all of you. Just like the law enforcement agencies out there, I'm just doing my job."
