Lady Melissa had assumed that her mother was alright considering the fact that she had seemed completely fine when Lady Melissa had seen her.

The Duchess, her mother had acted completely fine as well, and when she touched her mama's hands, forgetting to use her gloves, her mother seemed to be at the normal temperature.

"You need not to worry about me dearie, I'm completely fine, you should focus more on yourself. We wouldn't be here right now if I was still sick."

The Duchess said, telling Lady Melissa to focus on her own body and mental health more rather than her mother's.

"Alright mother, though how did the both of you arrive so quickly? Or perhaps the letter was simply sent late?"

Lady Melissa asked, curious how the both of them had arrived so quickly.

"We used a carriage, and I do not think the letter was sent late. When did you get the letter anyways Melissa?"

The Duke asked Lady Melissa, wanting to confirm that the message was not sent late.

"Oh a carriage? The both of you must have been really tired. I got the letter yesterday? Or the day before. Did you get my letter that I sent back?"

Lady Melissa asked, curious to know as she had not gotten another response from them when she had sent her letter.

"You sent back a letter to us? I'm sure that I sent it early though so you should've received a letter from us the week before."

The Duke said, sitting down on Lady Melissa's chair that was on the desk, visibly confused.

"Maybe we just got the dates wrong hunnie?"

The Duchess said, holding the Duke's arm who was very confused, he could have sworn that he got the dates right.

"You know what, don't worry about it Papa, the both of you should just rest, the both of you had a long journey. I'll look into the matter."

Lady Melissa said, as her parents quickly left her room, thanking Lady Melissa.

Lasdy Melissa looked at the clock, before noticing that she had spent over an hour chatting with her parents.

Her mother must've cancelled her other lessons then, that meant that Lady Melissa had thirty minutes of free time before she would have to attend her lessons.

Lady Melissa decided that she could spend her thirty minutes by looking into the letter.

She didn't think much of it, but she thought it was worth it to just give it a shot and inspect it, after all her father was shaken by the incident so she decided that looking into it wouldn't hurt her that much, only catch was that it would waste her time.

Lady Melissa took the letter that her parents had sent to her a few days prior to this, opening her drawer and getting the letter that her parents had sent to her.

Lady Melissa opened the letter, as she reread it once more, making sure that it was exactly the same one as the one her parents had sent to her a few days ago.

Lady Melissa re-read the letter several times, wanting to be absolutely sure that it was really the letter that her parents had sent to her a few days ago.

'This seems it, I think it's exactly the same as the one my parents had sent me.'

Lady Melissa thought, as she closely examined the letter, wanting to see if there were any hidden clues that were in it.

Lady Melissa let out a sigh, she had spent ten minutes examining the letter, but nothing was there.

There were no clues, or anything that would help her, it looked exactly the same as it did a few days ago, at least there was nothing Lady Melissa found that was the least bit different from the ones her parents had sent to her a few days ago.

Lady Melissa laid her head on the desk, and the letter had flown accidentally because of the impact of her laying her head on the desk too quickly.

The letter had flown into Lady Melissa's carpet, as she picked it up, it landed on the other page of her parent's letter.

'That's it!'

Lady Melissa said, as she closely examined the opposite page of her parent's letter.

She could make out something on the opposite page, but she wasn't exactly sure of what it was.

Lady Melissa went back into the carpet, as she tried to see if there was anything that maybe would be of help to her.

She stood by the spot the letter had dropped on, before noticing a straind of hair on the exact same spot the letter was.

Lady Melissa went back into her desk, and examined the letter once more, as she realized that the thing that she saw on the letter wasn't really useful as it was just dust.

Lady Melissa took her gloves from her drawers, quickly putting them on before she went back to the carpet to take the strand of hair that she had earlier noticed, bringing it back into her desk and taking a tissue to put the hair into.

Lady Melissa carefully examined the strand of hair, noticing it's key features.

It was black, and that it was straight hair, so Lady Melissa would have to start checking every single employee of the Shayla estate if they had black and straight hair.

The problem was that there were too many employees, from maids to servants that worked there.

Too many for her to count and too many for her to remember.

What was more was that she didn't have the time to examine every single employee and note down whether they had black or straight hair, she had more important things to do.

Lady Melissa thought and thought, spending the next few minutes remaining of her time to think about what she could, and should do so that she would be able to know which employee had black or straight hair without going through the Shayla estate and asking every single employee that.

'I mean I can ask Victoria, but I don't know, the employees would definitely be wary if Victoria just goes through every single employee in the Shayla estate to note down whether they have straight and black hair.'

Lady Melissa thought, as she thought of what to do, trying to find a way.
