Lady Melissa was going to break that never-ending cycle of hers. Even if a gathering or party ended horribly, she decided not to regret things.

It was fate that had brought her to do things, and it was going to be fate that she would be the one ending the Crown Prince.

Soon enough, Lady Melissa finished doing some paperwork, as she let out a sigh of relief, she still had an hour remaining before she'd get to the carriage.

It was currently 2 P.M. and Lady Melissa had been planning to reach Duchess Victoria's ball at 4 P.M. so she'd go at 3 P.M.

The trip from the Shayla manor to the Victoria estate was around an hour.

Lady Melissa looked in the mirror for the hundredth time today (it's a joke) as she wondered how the past would react seeing her now.

There was no doubt that the past her would be extremely proud of the person she was right now, and maybe even shed a few tears.

Lady Melissa decided that she'd give Justin a little prep talk before they would enter the carriage, well more like Justin entering the carriage behind her, though that wasn't the point.

"Justin come here."

Lady Melissa said, as Justin soon followed her orders, coming closer to Lady Melisaa, wondering why she had called for him.

"Yes? Is something the matter, Lady Melissa?"

Justin asked Lady Melissa, wondering what reason he had been called by Lady Melissa.

"Later I'm going to attend a ball held by Duchess Victoria, you'll use one of the carriages and follow my carriage, and reach the Victoria estate."

Lady Melissa said, stopping to take a breath.

"Nobody except the nobles and the employees will be allowed inside of the ball, so you can guard me from the outside."

Lady Melissa said, telling Justin that other than nobles and the employees who were going to be serving them, nobody else would be allowed in.

"Do you need me to sneak inside and disguise myself as one of the waiters in case anything happens, or would you rather that I just guard you from the outside instead Lady Melissa?"

Justin asked Lady Melissa, wondering which one of the two options she would prefer for Justin to do.

Lady Melissa thought for a few seconds, considering the first decision before she thought against it.

"I'd prefer if you just guard me from the outside, though make sure that nobody sees you or else people might get the wrong idea on who you are and what you do."

Lady Melissa said, telling Justin to be careful when he was guarding her, not wanting people to get the wrong idea about him.

"Alright."

Justin replied to Lady Melissa as he nodded his head, planning to follow her orders.

"Oh and one more thing, don't let yourself get found out by people unless it is absolutely necessary, like if my life is in danger."

Lady Melisaa said, not wanting people to find out about Justin.

Justin nodded his head once more, showing that he understood Lady Melissa's orders and was planning to follow them.

Lady Melissa didn't think that her life would be in danger though since it wasn't in her previous life, no one's life had been in danger that day.

So, Lady Melissa expected that nobody's life was going to be in danger today later on, and in Lady Melissa's previous life on this day, none of the royal family had come.

Lady Melissa expected that this time that none of the royal family would come as well, at least she hoped so, Lady Melissa detested most of the royal family anyways.

Most of them were arrogant people who looked down on people below their position when they had just been lucky to be born in their own positions.

Though admittedly there were a few good members of the royal family who Lady Melissa actually liked, she had been lucky to talk to them.

Lady Melissa wondered which one of the nobles she knew would be invited to Duchess Victoria's ball, Lady Melissa knew most of them would be invited, maybe even all of them.

Though that wasn't or wouldn't be much of a surprise to Lady Melissa since all of the nobles she was personally involved in had a pretty high position in society.

Well, except for Baron Kevin since he was a Baron, though he had already passed away so it was practically a given that he wouldn't appear.

Nor would he be given an invitation if he was alive since his position was a Baron, and only the Duke, Duchess and Ladies were invited to the ball.

Lady Melissa wondered how long it'd take for her to be hurting in the glass slippers that she was going to wear later on.

Her estimate was two or three hours though, that was usually the longest time it would take for Lady Melissa to be able to wear her high heels before her feet would eventually hurt.

Speaking of Baron Kevin, Lady Melissa had officially moved on from his death, she hadn't gotten emotional or felt as if the reason that he died was because of her.

Instead, she was happy that she was even able to be friends with Baron Kevin and that she had managed things between her and him to end on a good term.

Unlike how it had been in her previous life, where things between the both of them ended badly.

As a wise man said, "Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened."

Lady Melissa wondered if there had been a funeral for Baron Kevin already, though there most likely already had been in the next few days after he had passed away.

Otherwise there wouldn't be a name or a picture on Baron Kevin's tombstone, at least Lady Melissa didn't think that there would be a name or picture on it.

To tell the truth, Lady Melissa was a little sad over the fact that she hadn't been invited to Baron Kevin's funeral, but she quickly got over it, understanding that his funeral was probably a private event, with only his parents and some other family members attending.
