Duke Mason had been able to know that- since he had kept tabs with many of the royal palace's maids, servants just in case anything were to happen- so that he'd be one of the first few to know about it and prepare himself in advance.

"What do you mean by different? Could you perhaps elaborate on that Duke Alphonso?"

Lady Melissa asked as Duke Alphonso cleared his throat, before nodding his head.

"The way he acts, and the way he's been more focused on getting his father down, and he had even rejected her visits multiple times when I thought that the reason he had been acting this way was that he genuinely loved her- but with what he had done to her these past few days, I don't know whether that's truly the case."

Duke Alphonso said as Lady Melisa raised her eyebrows, curious to know how the Crown Prince had been acting to Camilia that had made Duke Alphonso think this way.

Duke Mason was surprised as well, though he didn't show it, his informants in the royal palace hadn't informed him about this, and it looked like he'd be paying them a visit later on.

Duke Alphonso quickly elaborated as he could see that the three of them wanted to know how the Crown Prince would act with Camilia around.

"She would send him letters, and she would request to meet him multiple times, but he would rudely dismiss her, and they had never eaten a meal in the royal palace together ever since she showed up."

Duke Alphonso said as he let out a sigh, continuing his sentence.

"She was also hiding from the royal palace, I had only seen her by coincidence, though I didn't tell it to anyone, I'm pretty sure that's why neither of you had sawn her."

Duke Alphonso said, as he averted his gaze from Lady Melissa to Duke Gaston and Duke Mason, who was intently listening to Duke Alphonso.

"You're right, I've never seen Camilia, which I'm assuming is the Crown Prince's fiance, until Duchess Victoria's ball."

Duke Gaston said, as Lady Melissa listened in silence, sorting out her own thoughts as she gazed at Duke Mason, who silently agreed with Duke Gaston.

"How many people knew about Camilia? Before she was introduced to the public, where did you see her?"

Lady Melissa asked Duke Alphonso curiously as he took a sip of the warm chamomile tea on the table, before answering her question.

"I'm not sure exactly how many people knew about Camilia, since nobody had ever even mentioned her before she was announced at Duchess Victoria's ball, but I saw her in one of the rooms used to put supplies."

Duke Alphonso said as he explained to Lady Melissa.

"Is that all you have about her?"

Lady Melissa asked as she raised her eyebrows, this wasn't enough information about her, as Duke Alphonso nodded his head, she had expected him to have more information about her since well, he was one of the Crown Prince's closest aides- if not the Crown Prince's closest aid.

"Do the rest of you have any information about her?"

Lady Melissa asked as the both of them shook their heads, disagreeing.

Hours passed, as Lady Melissa was tired of the amount of talking she had done, taking numerous sips of her tea numerous times, she had lost count after twenty.

Lady Melissa had decided that for today, she wouldn't ask the guards to change shifts with Nathan, though she had asked them to come a few hours after she had, just in case anything were to happen.

"I guess that concludes our meeting."

Lady Melissa said, as she stood up from her chair stretching her arms, as she let out a yawn, not noticing the numerous pairs of eyes that were staring at her figure.

"We'll meet again every month, perhaps two or three times, starting from this week, so I'll see the three of you again next week or so."

Lady Melissa said as the three Dukes stood up, nodding their heads in silence, agreeing to Lady Melissa.

Lady Melissa quickly greeted them goodbye as she went back to her carriage, apparently, even though they were somehow useless when it came to Camilia, though not entirely useless.

"Do you have a moment to spare for me, Lady Melissa?"

Lady Melissa stopped in her tracks as she heard Duke Mason's voice, letting out a sigh before she said yes to him.

"Yes, I do, what is it?"

Lady Melissa casually asked as she let out another small sigh, Duke Mason cleared his throat, wanting to ask her a question he had for her.

"So, the time that you asked for information about any brunette-haired women related to the Crown Prince romantically, or not was about Camilia, right?"

Duke Mason asked, as he already had strong suspicions in this- though he needed Lady Melissa needed to confirm them.

"You're right, get on with it, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Lady Melissa asked, obviously irritated by Duke Mason and his questions, a lot of her energy had already been sucked out during the tea party- though admittedly, it was amusing as well and it'd be a lie if she said she didn't have some fun during the tea party with the three of them.

"Who are you?"

Duke Mason asked as Lady Melissa maintained her stoic facade, though she was far from stoic inside.

"I'm Lady Melissa, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of the Shayla estate."

Lady Melissa calmly said, not flinching at all whilst she replied to Duke Mason.

Duke Mason let out a sigh before he shook his head.

"Nevermind then, though, have a nice trip back to the Shayla estate, I'd love to accompany you though unfortunately, I have matters of my own to deal with."

Duke Mason said, as he kneeled down, kissing her hand once more and sending her a flirtatious wink before they were separated and went their own ways, as he entered his carriage, giving Lady Melissa one last glance before doing so.
