Lady Melissa made her way inside the royal palace, the door being held for her by one of the many many servants the royal palace had, as she admired the beautiful interior design of the palace, as well as the beautiful marble floor she was walking on.

Lady Melissa looked up, a bright and sparkling chandelier on top of her, as her mind suddenly remembered the moment where she had been ambushed by one of the ladies in a ball, and had landed right in the middle of the chandelier- as if it was a miracle as she had somehow managed to live through it.

Lady Melissa made numerous turns, she had no idea how she was able to remember where the Crown Prince's room was when the royal palace was just so huge- she couldn't even remember where most of the things even were now.

"This is where the King is, he is currently having a guest with him inside of the room, so you may wait inside of this room, I or one of the other servants will call upon you once the King is free."

The servant blankly stated, as Lady Melissa nodded her head- stepping inside the room, which looked similar to the corridor that she had been walking on just a few minutes ago.

Lady Melissa's eyes widened a bit, seeing a dozen or so refreshments right in front of her, as well as some tea and other drinks, this was probably the room that they would put guests in when waiting for the King- or just waiting in general.

Lady Melissa didn't even know that there was a room for this- it stunned her a lot with how much she didn't even look up and observe her surroundings in her past life, when there was just so much for her to see- and so much for her to admire.

Lady Melissa waited and waited alone in her room- Justin was outside of the room, and so was Sophia, so she was alone, inside of the room, currently dying of boredom.

Lady Melissa would've brought all of her bodyguards to the royal palace- but she knew that even by bringing one bodyguard meant that she didn't trust the royal family or any of its workers for that matter.

Much less bringing all five of her bodyguards, though it was alright for her to bring Sophia- since she was her personal maid.

Lady Melissa impatiently waited for the King to be finished with his guest- as she let out a sigh, she didn't even want to see him- yet here she was, it was completely ironic to her.

Lady Melissa was tempted to just use her right hand and grab the cookie in front of her eyes- but right when her hand was in the midst of doing so, she heard a knock on the door, letting out a sigh, just when she had wanted to take a bite out of the tempting cookie that was right in front of her eyes someone just had to interrupt her.

Nonetheless, Lady Melissa quickly told the person to come in.

"Come in."

Lady Melissa said, evident in her tone that she was obviously irritated by the knock on the door.

"The King is done, he wants to see you."

The same servant said to Lady Melissa, as she nodded her head, getting up from the sofa as she made her way out of the door, glaring at the servant whilst doing so, as he interrupted her from eating the cookie.

Lady Melissa made her way outside of the room- as she saw Justin and Sophia standing beside each other, awkwardly, though they soon spotted her, following behind her.

Lady Melissa signalled the both of them to stop though, they couldn't follow her inside where she was going to be meeting the King, as she knew that if they did so- he'd be obviously very enraged.

Lady Melissa looked back at them, and the both of them understood her message- standing and waiting patiently for Lady Melissa to finish her audience with the King, even though it hadn't even started.

The room where she was going to be having an audience with the King was quite far, perhaps a few hundred steps or so, or maybe it was because of how big the royal palace was, or both.

Lady Melissa was stopped in her tracks as she spotted her parents, who seemed like they were out of breath, at least her father looked like he was out of breath, her mother somehow still looked elegant and neat.

"We've come to wish you luck before you see the King."

The Duchess said, an encouraging smile on her face as Lady Melissa lazily nodded at her words, sending her mother a smile as well.

"Will you be meeting him right now?"

The Duke asked, fake concern in his tone as Lady Melissa slowly nodded her head, if that wasn't obvious enough, she thought.

"Maybe we should go with you, after all, this is your first time talking to the King."

The Duke said, as he was obviously concerned over Lady Melissa- or more specifically, concerned on what she could do to him and his wife if she had gotten on the King's good side, there was no knowing what she would do to him.

The Duchess shared a look with her husband for a few seconds, thinking about the suggestion for a few seconds- she didn't know what kind of nonsense her 'child' could ever say, and how much she could put her and her husband in hot waters.

She knew that her child wasn't stupid- no she was far from it, which was why she wanted to accompany her child to see the King, but she didn't want to enrage the King, knowing that she and her husband would face a horrible death.

"Maybe we should accompany you, besides, what if you say the wrong thing? The King may punish all of us for it, we just want to make sure that you don't do that, so we'll talk for you if needed."

The Duchess said, as Lady Melissa internally smiled, her mother was just so cunning and sly- perhaps it was where she had gotten those very same traits from, acting as if she had truly cared for her daughter- when in reality, it couldn't be any further from the truth.
