That was Lady Melissa's plan for tomorrow- at least she planned for it to be her plan for tomorrow, she'd collect the deed for the Shayla estate's mines, and place them somewhere secure for the time being before the following week she'd go to the royal palace and hand it over to the King.

Lady Melissa was honestly, perhaps a little disappointed with the fact that her parents hadn't even waited for her- somewhere deep down inside, perhaps she still hoped that there was a chance that her parents truly cared for her, and not just their reputation,

Those hopes of hers were always shattered each and every single time though, proving to her over and over countless times that her parents didn't genuinely care for her, and that it was an act.

Lady Melissa- as much as she tried to convince herself, had always ended up believing in her parents over and over again- it was a sad reality, truly, she pretended that they were going to try again- and that this time, they genuinely cared for her.

Yet every time she did that, the both of them would manage to screw it up somehow, whether it was unintentionally or intentionally, right there and then Lady Melissa decided to make a vow to herself.

No matter what happened, she wasn't going to hope anymore for her parent's affection and love for her- knowing that it'd probably take centuries before they would genuinely care for her, or never.

It was just one more thing for her to promise herself not to do- and this time she had actually done it vowing to herself that she wouldn't expect any of her parent's affection or love no matter what would happen in the future.

Lady Melissa closed the lights, though she didn't sleep, it wasn't that she didn't want to, it was simply because she couldn't sleep, the nightmares would haunt her every single time she did so.

Lady Melissa had gotten numb to the feeling; with how often she'd have nightmares it was hard not to get used to it, yet every single time she encountered one she'd always be mixed with multiple emotions- the main one being fear.

Truth be told, Lady Melissa wasn't the biggest fan of the dark, something about it just being unsettling to her, but at the same time, she found peace in the dark, feeling at ease.

Perhaps it was because of the fact that nobody would be able to see her identity, in the dark, and she'd go unrecognized, whatever the reason was, Lady Melissa would bask in the dark nights.

During those nights, she would be at peace, as if everything around her had stopped- as if all her problems had disappeared; even if it was just for a few seconds, minutes or hours.

That was why she was basking in the midst of all the darkness, as it surrounded her, as she let out a sigh- one out of relief this time, closing her eyes as she imagined the Crown Prince's dead body.

It was something she had been imagining about- her sword- pointing to the Crown Prince's neck before she would quickly use her hands to quickly cut his neck off, as it made a satisfying 'plop' sound the moment it hit the ground.

Lady Melissa let out a smile- this was one of her motivations; one of the things that kept her going, the Crown Prince's dead body and the fact that she would finally, be able to take her revenge on him after all this time.

It was a reminder to Lady Melissa, a reminder of her goal- not like she would ever forget about something as important as this though.

Lady Melissa closed her eyes, maybe, she'd be alright, she could face Lady Camilia, after all, she already had her doubts that Lady Camilia was also one of the people who had time travelled along with her.

She had just panicked too much- more than she should and she worried too much when in reality, she had everything under her own control- at least Lady Melissa hoped that she did.

Lady Melissa looked at the clock, as it was currently 12 P.M, as she was going to go and collect the deed for the Shayla estate's mines, she wasn't exactly sure where it was per se, but she believed that it was somewhere inside the Shayla estate, most likely her parent's room.

The only problem was that she was sure that her parents didn't have any plans today, meaning that they would probably be cooped up in their room all day, and she still hadn't told them either about the contract she had with the King.

Her parents hadn't come out of their rooms AT ALL, meaning that they were probably going to spend the rest of their day cooped up in their shared bedroom, meaning that it would be harder for Lady Melissa to successfully get the deed from them.

Lady Melissa knew that they were either probably still sleeping, since they had a ton of free time since practically almost everything was thrown to Lady Melissa, and she had to do almost all of the paperwork- when it was their job.

It was either that… or they were doing some activities she preferred not to catch them doing- knowing that it would scar her permanently, for life, imagining it was already enough.

She didn't need to see her parents doing the deed- she had surprisingly gotten education regarding the topic when she had overheard the maids talking about it, though it wasn't really education now that she was thinking about it.

Lady Melissa had just overheard the maids, and stayed to hear whatever they were saying the curiosity getting best to her- she had never been told about it from her mother.

It was sad honestly- she was sure that many other noblewomen didn't tell their daughters either about the topic.

Truth be told, when she had first learned about it she felt humiliated and embarrassed by the fact that out of all of the people she had to learn about this from- it was the maids.
