Duke Alphonso came here because it was safe, after all, he had even noticed the bodyguards and he knew better than anyone just how intelligent and strong Lady Melissa was behind that facade, hence he came here.
Luckily, Lady Melissa hadn't found out anything about his injury so far, and Duke Alphonso was planning to keep it this way, he didn't want to worry her, after all, he had already broken into her window and that was already more than enough.
"You alright? You're taking a long time."
Lady Melissa asked Duke Alphonso, as she shouted to him as he quickly replied to her, quickly trying to make it seem like he was fine as he used some tissue to try and lessen the amount of blood on his shirt.
The blood was still coming out of course, though at least it was at a much slower rate, as Duke Alphonso quickly went out of the bathroom, using some of the water on his face as well- feeling like he was going to be in for a long night.
Obviously drinking champagne with Lady Melissa at 01:00 A.M. wasn't the best idea since they were probably still hunting for his body and trying to find him, but Duke Alphonso was just tempted to do it with her again.
Duke Alphonso found it fun and interesting- he would genuinely have a good time with Lady Melissa, and what sort of reason would he have to stay in her house for the next few hours if he declined her offer?
"I apologize for making you wait so long, Lady Melissa."
Duke Alphonso said, as he exited the bathroom, looking as handsome as ever as Lady Melissa merely nodded her head in response, eyeing him as he sat right in front of her, a glass filled with champagne already in front of him.
Lady Melissa already had a few suspicions of Duke Alphonso, but she wasn't entirely sure whether the suspicions were true or not, though she'd have to find out later on through the night if they were.
Lady Melissa quickly took a shot of the champagne, immediately chugging the entire glass at one go as Duke Alphonso looked surprised, sure he knew that she could drink- after all the both of them had shared a few drinks before.
However, this? This was an entirely different story- he never knew that Lady Melissa was that much of an alcoholic, though the man wasn't disappointed or annoyed by this newfound knowledge, instead he was simply intrigued- wanting to know more about her.
"You must've had a tiring day."
Duke Alphonso said, as he raised his own glass before chugging it all at once, similar to how Lady Melissa did so earlier, as Lady Melissa merely sent a mischievous smirk to the man in front of her before calmly replying.
"Oh you don't know the half of it, between being buried with piles of paperwork and a duke breaking into my room in the middle of the night I wonder how someone like me could've been so tired and annoyed?"
Lady Melissa sarcastically replied to Duke Alphonso's comment, perhaps she was feeling much more annoyed and irritated today hence the reason for her attitude, though Duke Alphonso loved her attitude- it was interesting to him.
Maybe he loved this attitude much more than the usual one, for some reason he loved seeing her annoyed and irritated, as long as she wasn't actually angry with the actions that he had done.
"Once again Lady Melissa, I apologize."
Duke Alphonso said, as he poured himself another shot of the champagne, quickly drinking it down as he could feel himself starting to get tipsy, which at this point he wasn't even sure whether it was because of the alcohol or the fact that he had lost a lot of blood.

"Don't worry I've been pretty moody today because a lot of things have been happening, and you just had to stumble in when I thought I was about to finally have some time to myself- though with you here, things are certainly more interesting."

"Well, why don't we test that theory out hm Melissa?"
Duke Alphonso said, as he used a suggestive tone, as well as using Lady Melissa's first name as the woman was a little surprised- she hadn't expected the man to use her first name, though it'd be a lie if she didn't like it.
The way her name rolled so easily from Duke Alphonso's tongue certainly amused her- perhaps it even excited her, as Lady Melissa reminded herself that it'd be better if she wasn't to make any relationships.
She had a goal, a goal that she was planning to follow- but a peck wouldn't hurt right? Besides, it wasn't as if anybody was going to find out or that it would ruin the relationship that they had built with each other, right?
As Lady Melissa slowly approached Duke Alphonso closer and closer, she noticed a bright shade of red at the corner of her eye, her eyes widening as she quickly took off Duke Alphonso's suit before the man could even react.

Lady Melissa simply replied, as she saw Duke Alphonso's bloody shirt, letting out a sigh in response as she face palmed herself, yep she was definitely going to get drunk tonight, after today's shitshow had happenned.

"Are you kidding me? That window was just fixed earlier, that's it, I'm buying bulletproof glass next time."
