Chapter 34: Dekan Never Suffer Losses

"Are you afraid?"

Olive felt the gradual trembling of Dekan's body and asked curiously.

Although cautious, Dekan's strange behavior caught her curiosity.

She reached out, gently lifting her index finger to support Dekan's chin, considering how to deal with this rare specimen of a little demon.

However, at that moment she met Dekan's gaze again, she felt a momentary illusion. It was as if she were gazing into the abyss beneath a layer of ice. Dekan's gaze was cold enough to send shivers down her spine.

"Hahaha..."

Seeing Olive's surprise, Dekan burst into laughter as if he had been teasing her all along.

"Why are you laughing?" Olive's face still showed a hint of astonishment.

"I'm laughing because you're so adorable. You’re actually scared of me? That truly excites me."

Dekan slowly raised his trembling hand, forming a fist.

"Did you really suspect that I was sent from above to carry out an inspection?"

Dekan's gaze was icy and filled with danger. His laughter tinged with amusement.

"Are you not?"

Olive frowned. She found it difficult to analyze Dekan's intentions.

Dekan seemed unconcerned about her scorpion tail and took a step closer, locking eyes with Olive.

"If I were here to inspect, I wouldn't waste time talking to you. I would have found a way to entice you into breaking the rules and then disposed of you."

Dekan's face carried a subtle smile.

"Now, you have two choices. You can treat me as an opponent and engage in a battle of wits against the air. Or, you can listen to my proposal and perhaps you'll discover a pleasure you've never experienced before. Something beyond ecstasy."

He didn't have a wide grin, but there was a complex mix of indulgence and mockery in his eyes.

Olive couldn't help but feel a bit itchy in her heart. From the beginning, this little demon had been plucking at her heartstrings. And now, she was curious about what exactly he meant by "pleasure beyond ecstasy."

If only he wasn’t a school inspector or someone sent from above.

"Are you secretly hoping that I prove my identity to you?"

Dekan whispered in her ear, his voice carrying a subtle and provocative tone.

Olive's expression momentarily froze.

"But you can't prove it definitively, so no matter what, I won't believe you," Olive replied.

Though Olive didn't like playing by the rules, there was an irresistible allure in Dekan's words.

She seemed to be expecting something.

"Wait a moment; I will blindfold you. You won't be able to see or guess what I'm going to do. There's a fifty-fifty chance it will either bring you extreme pain like before or a different kind of ecstasy."

Dekan grinned, revealing his sharp teeth. "What do you say? Want to give it a try?"

Olive's breathing became rapid; she seemed eager. She wanted the anticipation and thrill of the unknown. Regardless of what was to happen, it would be an intense experience for her. Besides, she didn't have to worry about Dekan, this weak human, posing a threat to her life.

She retrieved a roll of blood-stained gauze from a cabinet and handed it to Dekan. "Hurry up."

"No problem, I'll make sure you're satisfied."

Dekan gently pressed her shoulder, guiding her to a chair, and then began to blindfold Olive's eyes with the gauze.

After a short while, Olive felt Dekan's forehead against hers, but her vision was entirely black, unable to see anything. She could only hear her own heartbeat, and her breath grew increasingly rapid.

She was eagerly anticipating what Dekan might bring her in terms of unknown pleasure and excitement. Whether it was as painful as he said or something else, it promised to be an experience she wouldn't forget.

Dekan silently drew two cards.

This act had finally reached its conclusion.

To ensure Olive would willingly give him this intimate opportunity, Dekan had acted so convincingly that he even made himself nervous. He created a persona that would draw Olive's attention.

However...

Hehehe.

Olive was already doomed.

In Dekan's hand were two cards: one was the Ruined Poet, and the other was the final spell card he had brought with him to the Shadow World, but hadn't used yet, the "Mind Collision" card.

[Mind Collision]

[Category: Spell Card]

[Rarity: Purple Rare]

[Tier: 1]

[Effect: Only effective when both parties are within 1 meter of each other. The closer the distance, the stronger the effect. Initiates a collision of both parties' mental powers, with the one with stronger mental strength causing a mental impact with a dazing effect on the weaker party.]

[Note: Showdown! Showdown! It's a showdown!]

This spell card originally didn’t have any substantial damage. Its main purpose was to induce dizziness. It would at most create a painful headache when pain perception was doubled. However, under the influence of a 60x pain perception, the true effect of the "Mind Collision" remained unknown, as Dekan had never tested it on anyone before...

But today, Dekan would finally get the answer he had been eagerly waiting for.
