Chapter 29: Secretly Sneaking In

“Ya, that’s right. How is it possible she knows how to cure? Don’t let her cause a ruckus here and disturb Mo Zhu taking a rest, hurry and bring her away.”  The maidservants jeered continuously.  If you are reading this translation/story at any site other than Cloud Manor (https://cloudmanor.wordpress.com/prince-consort-index/) then you are reading an illegal posting stolen from the original translator/author. Feng’er’s knitted her brows, her body trembled as the maidservants darted at them with an unfriendly look. Seeing the unfavourable situation, she hurriedly tugged at Yun Rouyue’s sleeve to indicate her to leave. “Your Ladyship, we should go now, what if the prince came over now and saw us? Should the prince know about this incident, we will never escape punishment.”

“But, I really can cure him…” exclaimed Yun Rouyue.

Before she could finish her sentence, a few imperial guards walked up and seized her, pulling her away towards the entrance.

In a split second, she was brought outside the Green Bamboo Garden entrance and threw her on the ground. The imperial guards stared at her with total contempt before turning around to leave.

Yun Rouyue sighed. What’s the point when one has a pretty face yet being disdained by others?  When one loses a good name, there’s only one thing in the end, is to get reproached by others.

As she pondered about the scene a while ago, the more they looked down on her, the more she wanted to prove them wrong. She wasn’t a person who gave up easily and definitely won’t let him die in vain. She must find an opportunity to enter Mo Zhu’s room and check his wound.

However, as one can see their reactions just now, it’s impossible for her to walk into Mo Zhu’s room openly. Besides, there was a risk if she couldn’t save him. What if they were angry and held her responsible for his death? They might have killed her too. Yun Ruoyue’s eyes narrowed slightly as she contemplated. There’s no other way and the only way to save him is to secretly sneak inside that room.

After they chased two of them off from Green Bamboo Garden, Yun Rouyue and Feng’er didn’t leave the place yet. Instead, Yun Rouyue had a plan in mind and she whispered a few words to Feng’er. In an instant, Feng’er face turned pale as she listened. “Your Ladyship, you want to sneak in and secretly treat Mo Zhu?”

Yun Ruoyue blinked at her and lowered her voice. “Yes, you wait for me here while I sneak inside Mo Zhu’s bedroom from the backyard. You have to look after the entrance for me. When someone is coming to the room, quickly let out a yell and make noises to attract their attention, in order to stall the time for me.”

“But, is this really going to work? Do you know how to cure him? Feng’er replied in a low voice,  a glimmer of doubt filled her eyes.

“Look at me, the lashed wounds on my body were healed and almost gone. Hence, these were good enough to prove my medical skills, am I right? Feng’er, you must believe in me.” Yun Rouyue tried to convince her by pulling up her sleeves to show the faint whip marks on the skin.

She need Feng’er to trust her and give a helping hand as she couldn’t do it by her own.

“Medical skills..” Feng’er blinked and stared at her.

She wondered inwardly. Eh? Her Ladyship had morphed instantly into a medical expert?

Immediately after much deliberation with Feng’er, Yun Rouyue quietly entered the Green Bamboo Garden through the backyard.

At this moment, the others were still standing at the entrance and didn’t know that Yun Ruoyue was secretly sneaking in from the backyard.

Yun Rouyue swept her gaze around to inspect the surroundings and move stealthily to the backyard door. She realised the door was not locked, carefully pushed the door open and quickly stepped inside.

The smells of the herbal medicine wafted into her nostril as she entered the bedroom.

She took in the sight of a young man lying on the bed with his eyes closed.

He was around seventeen to eighteen years old, clean and pale complexion, lips were dry without any trace of blood and was unconscious.

Apart from him, there was no one else in the room, which was just convenient for Yun Ruoyue to carry out the treatment.

She walked towards the bed and sat down beside him, gently opened his eyelids to take a look. His eyelids turned pale and they were unresponsive.

Coma is divided into mild, moderate and severe. If patients are in a mild coma, patients can be awakened by stimuli such as sound and touch. However, Mo Zhu wasn’t the case, so he should be above the moderate level.

The room was too dark for her to see Mo Zhu’s condition, hence, she walked to the window, pulled apart the curtains to let the sunlight in and brighten the room.

Fortunately, the window was on the side, not on the front. Even if she opened the curtains, the people outside the front door would not know, otherwise she would be discovered.

As soon as the curtains were opened, the sun streamed into the window and hurt Mo Zhu’s eyes. He screwed up his face as he felt the irritations and he slowly opened his eyes.

The moment he opened his eyes, the first sight that greeted him was a lady dressed in red with her back facing him. He instantly widened his eyes and yelped, “aahhh, ghost…, a ghost…”

“Don’t shout.” When Yun Rouyue heard his voice, she immediately turned around and quickly covered Mo Zhu’s mouth with her hand. (https://cloudmanor.wordpress.com/prince-consort-index/)
