Chapter 38: Punishment from the Prince
Chu Xuanchen headed straight to the wooden shed, after he left Gentle Rain Pavilion.
He wants to find Yun Rouyue and stirs up some troubles for her.
It was all this wicked woman’s faults that he was stricken with insanity. Whenever he got close to Nangong Rou, he thought he could see Yun Rouyue’s angry face. Your Highness shouldn’t let her go and must teach her a proper lesson today!” Old Maidservant Zhang smirked in triumph as she raised her brow and side glared at Yun Rouyue.

His angry voice echoed in the night startled Old Maidservant Zhang and caused her trembled body to have a jolt. She turned white and no longer dared to say anything, quickly nodded her head and fled away to whatever direction as fast as she could.
Not a second after, Chu Xuanchen raised the leather whip and struck out heavily with a piercing sound. Pa! Yun Rouyue’s heart abruptly jumped and she involuntarily shut her eyes tight out of fear.
In the stillness for a moment, she was hit by realisation that her body didn’t feel any pain at all.
She immediately flung open her eyelids and discovered a long deep stroke to the ground. It turns out that he actually slashed it to the ground and not her.
It’s only him who has a powerful and strong inner strength to create such depth.
She can’t imagine how painful it would be if that stroke landed on her body. She certainly will get deep cut into the flesh until see the bones!
Feng’er was panic-stricken when she saw the raging storm was approaching, she immediately fell to her knees to implored for mercy, “Your Highness, I beg you please spare princess consort. She really didn’t want to kill Mo Zhu but to save him.”
Yun Ruoyue interrupted her and spoke in a resentful tone, “Feng’er, you don’t have to beg him. Even if I have to die, I will never beg him!”

She was ill-treated by this man nevertheless she will never beg for his mercy.
When Yun Ruoyue’s words entered his ears, he strode furiously to her and his outstretched grasp her chin tightly. “Is that so? This prince had never treated you as wife, that place of the princess consort isn’t for you!”

“Sure, you can give me the divorce paper now or we could have the separation arrangement to take place at the palace with His Majesty as the witness in the signing.
