“Who the hell is Kimsee?” Asher asked.

“She owns a club close by. I may have bought this land for a steal right out from under her,” Redy said.

“And she spiked everyone’s drinks, why?” Lyola asked.

“I may have also got a better deal from one of her vendors. And been able to steal a lot of her clientele after a nasty rumor about her broke out,” he said.

“How bad of a rumor?”

“An intimate relationship with a Lamia,” he answered shyly. Asher thought that was a snake person.

“What’s wrong with that?” Tiff asked.

“Bad blood between the Roktai and a semi-local Lamia race,” Lyola answered. “Old wars.”

“So what are we going to do?” Keera asked.

“Well, I’m gonna go get details from the others on how their nights ended,” Tiff said.

“We can’t leave it like this,” Tosh said. “It could be very bad if it’s not this Kimsee person. Maybe someone was targeting you Asher. Or you Lyola. What if someone wanted to make a sex tape for blackmail with you or someone else here?”

“Hadn’t thought of that,” Asher admitted. “So what do you think?” He asked Lyola. “Dig into it?” With that the quest appeared.

“Guess that solves that question,” Asher said with a sigh.

—-

Asher pushed his way in the large doors. No one outside or in he headed toward the back. The place looked awfully similar to Crest. Probably something that Redoral had done on purpose. There was an elevator platform at the back. Lyola, Tillie, Tosh, Keera, Tiff, and Atty stepped on the platform with him.

At the top floor they were met with a couple of guards. Asher used Identification but they were only level 40. He flexed his muscles ready to take them down, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him.

“Steady, husband,” Lyola said. She stepped forward. “We wish to see Kimsee. I am Lyola Lofgren. I come with the Lawful Good. My husband.”

The guards eyed one another. One whispered into a band at his wrist. Soon he was walking them to a back office. Inside was a large room with a large desk carved out of wood. A female elf sat behind the desk.

“The Champion and his party,” she said with a smile. Despite it being so early in the morning she looked refreshed. “What do I owe the honor?

“Did you have anything to do with what happened at Crest last night?”

Kimsee frowned. “I want nothing to do with that place or that bastard,” she spat. “He knew I wanted to use that land for a more exclusive club. Stole it right from my fingertips.”

“So you don’t know what happened there?” Tiff asked. With her new Emotion Control she was able to feel emotions as well. Lying was useless to her now. Not that it was easy when she had simple Telepathy.

“No,” she said confused. “I heard a lot of people were kicked out because of a Mana Leak. My place was quite busy for once because of it.”

The group huddled together. “What do you think?” Asher asked.

“She isn't lying,” Tiff admitted.

“This was our only clue,” Tosh said.

“I’ve been thinking,” Keera admitted. “On Earth you’d have to pull a lot of strings to get so much of one drug. Maybe she knows someone who knows something.”

The group shared a look and turned back to Kimsee. “Last night Crest’s alcohol was spiked with an aphrodisiac,” Lyola admitted.

As Kimsee slowly understood the words a smile split her face. She was soon cackling in glee. “Someone pulled the ol’ Mountfire trick on Redy?” She asked as she began to laugh louder.

“What’s that?” Asher asked Lyola.

“Mountfire was another guild on Elantontrin,” Lyola explained. “They spiked the drinks at a guild conference at the start of our Initialization. They were quickly wiped out because of it. Spiking drinks has been known as Mountfiring since.”

“It seems so,” Keera said. “I’m guessing you know some people. A lot of aphrodisiacs were used. Think you’d know anyone that sells in bulk?”

She slowly stopped laughing. Looking the group over her eyes set on Asher. “I might know someone. But if I find out for you I’d need something in return.” Asher looked her up and down. There wasn’t too much interesting about her. Very plain. But he guessed if he had to sleep with her he wouldn’t mind the experience.

“Not that!” Kimsee said angrily. Her face was blushing. Apparently she was psychic too. Tiffany held back from laughing.

Asher really needed to learn to keep his stray thoughts locked away. “No, it’s not everyday the Lawful Good appears at my door,” she said. “Tell you what. If you do a favor for me, I’ll do a favor for you.”

—-

Lyola and Tillie left so she could handle things back in her city. She did not contact her father, which he couldn’t blame her for. The last thing he wanted were his parents finding out what happened after they left the club.

Asher knocked on the back door. A Nymph Elf cracked it open. This one was male, and a lot more muscular than Asher would have expected. He was used to the lithe feminine elves.

“What?” The elf barked.

“Here to see the owner. We were sent by Kimsee.”

The elf eyed them up and down. They were let in and escorted to a back office. There was a large man with spikes on his chin sitting behind a desk. He smoked some large genie lamp pipe. Asher hadn’t seen many people smoking. He couldn’t help but wonder if he was smoking a drug or something like tobacco.

“I told Kimsee already. I can’t get her any more,” the big man said as he exhaled the smoke.

“Well she seems to think we can help you with your problem,” Asher said.

The big man squinted and looked him up and down. “My Goddess, you’re the Lawful Good, ain’t ya?” Asher nodded. “Yes, I do think you could help. There’s this tribe in the Pintfree country. They’re the only ones that grow the ingredient I’m missing. If you can get them to release their stock I’m sure I can scrounge a few more up for Kimsee.”

The group shared a look. Tiff sighed. “Screw this, I’m out. I wanna go check on the morning drama with the others. Call me when you get back,” she said. Kissing Asher she slapped Atty’s ass and walked out.

“You sticking around?” Asher asked.

Keera nodded. “I’ve never actually done a non-trial quest. So I’d like to see it till the end.” Tosh and Atty agreed. They got the information and left.

—-

The party walked in through the large trees. Asher noticed that the landscape was much the same as Roktai, but the trees were red bark instead of brown. The trees were still the size of skyscrapers. He was alert because there could be goblins around.

As he came around the tree he didn’t expect to see naked elves dancing around a fire. They were all women. War paint on their bodies and feathers in their hair, they appeared very tribal.

“Halt!” Someone yelled. The group of women stopped running around the bonfire. A rather buxom Roktai walked up unashamed by her own lack of dress.

“We come from Roktai. We were quested to have you release the Timbut Leaves,” Tosh announced.

“You’re here for Aalson?” The leader asked. Tosh nodded. “Tell him to go fuck himself.” She spat.

“Now wait a minute,” Asher said, stepping forward. “There’s gotta be something you all need. We are more than willing to trade.” Asher eyed the women up and down. He had seen this porno before. The primal women on a secluded planet could use much from him.

She eyed him up and down. Asher put on his most confident smile. “You are the Lawful Good,” she announced. Then drawing back she went over to her group. They began discussing amongst themselves.

“Tiff is gonna be pissed she missed this,” Atalanta noted, practically reading his mind.

“We have decided,” the leader announced. “There is something you can help us with.”

Please, please, please, Asher thought as he crossed his fingers.

“Long ago the leader of the Brushless Guild stole an artifact from our tribe. Get it back for us and we will send you back with all the Timbut Leaves we have.”

Asher let out a long sigh. “Fuck,” he said. Soon the 4 were on their way again.

—-

“I never expected the Lawful Good to leave Roktai,” the guild master for the Brushless Guild announced from his throne.

“I hope that’s not disappointment I hear in your voice,” Asher said. “We have come to request the artifact taken from the Losttrin tribe.”

The guild leader appeared confused. An attendant came over and whispered in his ear. “Ah yes. Normally I wouldn’t entertain such a thing, but you are the Lawful Good. I assume this is for a quest?” Asher nodded.

The old guild master thought for a little while. “I believe I can relinquish their artifact if you can find something for me…”

—-

Asher dug through the brush. The 4 of them were scattered in the area. They had been looking for an hour and it was getting close to evening.

“We are never going to find this stupid Silver Fox!” Atty yelled from the air.

“What about the Silver Fox?” A young elf asked from a rock outcropping. He appeared young, and wore simple robes.

“We are on a quest to find it,” Asher said. The others were too far away to hear.

“My goddess, you’re the Lawful Good,” the young elf said. A smile spreading on his face. “I can find the Silver Fox,” he admitted.

Asher noticed some reluctance in the boy’s face. He let out another sigh. “What do you need?”

—-

The group walked up to the small hut. Though it looked primitive it was the same black metal as every other building. Asher knocked on the door. An older elf with a black eye opened it.

“We are looking for Ghezil,” he said. The old man started crying. Asher sighed. “What happened to her?”

—-

Asher punched the young gangster in the face hard. His head bounced off the steel floor. He looked up to the supposed crime boss. He cowered behind his desk.

“You will take us to Ghezil,” Asher said. The man shook.

—-

“Who?” Ghezil asked.

“The young boy. Elf. Like this tall. Name rhymes with…Lyle,” Asher said.

“For my saviors, of course I would be more than happy to go out with anyone,” the cute Ghezil said. Asher let out a sigh. She looked him up and down. “Goddess are you the Lawful Good?” Asher nodded happily that there might be an end in sight.

The 4 of them stuck together. Keera happily caressed the new mana rifle and mana pistol she had liberated from some gangsters.

“My little brother would love to meet you,” she said. “Would you mind?” Asher sighed.

—-

“Don’t do drugs, and stay in school,” Asher said. The small elf’s eyes lit up looking at him. “You’ll go on the date now, right?” The girl nodded.

They left and the young elf wasn’t lying. They caught the Silver Fox at sunset. Then gave it to the guild master who gave them the artifact. The now clothed tribe women were more than pleased with the artifact. They didn’t ask for anything else. Despite he and Atty’s many suggestive offers. Though she had lost her virginity, she still liked to watch.

Then with the leaves they gave it to the manufacturer and he gave them 3 bottles of wine. “What the hell did we do all this for?”

“Ambrosia, the nectar of the gods,” Tosh said. “It’s said that if you try this every other wine tastes like urine in comparison.”

Asher held the 3 bottles in his hand as they walked out of the warehouse. He was very curious if the tales were true. Since he didn’t know the taste he would have to try it to make his fluids taste like it.

“Well I’m keeping one,” Asher announced. Tosh eyed him until Asher passed him one as well. The bottles became bathed in light as they disappeared into their respective rings.

“Lawful Good finally returns,” Kimsee said as they walked in. “I hope it wasn’t too much trouble.”

Asher sighed. “It was,” he admitted as he dropped the 1 bottle on her desk. He could have been having sex with his women all day, but no, Asher was a completionist when it came to quests.

“Only 1?” She asked. A frown on her face.

“Take it or leave it. What did you hear?”

—-

Asher and his original party of 7 walked back into club Crest a few hours after dark. There was no one lined up out the door. Rumor had gotten around. Redy and his employees stood around the dance floor. It looked like all the people and stains had been cleaned up.

“What’s this about? Did you kill Kimsee?” Redy asked. Excitement in his voice.

“No, she was able to track down the person that bought so much aphrodisiac,” Asher said scanning the waiters and waitresses. A shorter elf girl shyly stared at the ground. “Only one person has bought that specific aphrodisiac in such a large quantity. Orly Pillwit.” Everyone around the small elf took a step back from her. She was soon the center of attention.

“What?!” Redoral asked. His facial expressions did their best to show the betrayal. “But why would you do this to me?”

The small elf became angry as she looked up at him. “Because I caught you in bed with her.” She pointed to another female elf. Soon it became a screaming match between the entire group of Redy’s employees.

“You’re sleeping with her?” “How dare you!” “But you’d said you loved me.”

More than one female and a few male elves started yelling and screaming. Apparently Redoral was a popular elf at the club. Asher’s eyes widened, he felt a little bad for assuming the elf was just gay. Then his quest was updated.

It felt like a while ago that Tyranis warned him of killing quests he might have to be assigned by the System. He didn’t expect to have to be dragged into this kind of drama too.

“Yes,” Tiff said as she got her quest rewards. Everyone had received the quest with him. All wanted their experience and Syscos. A part of Asher was pissed they only had to be there for the last part of the quest.

“Excuse me,” Tiff said, pulling Orly from the screaming match. “Do you have any more of that drug?”

—-

Asher and his group walked out together. Now that it was dark outside he was glad the day was over. “Why do you need so much aphrodisiac?” Asher asked Tiff as she stored the bottles in her ring.

“For science,” she said with a wink. Asher laughed. “Did you learn anything from all this?”

“I fucking hate chain quests,” he said with annoyance in his voice.
