Five minutes later the whole place became silent, before slowly one after another claps were heard.

Until the whole venue erupted with cheers and praises, even those who didn't like them couldn't help but clap for their performance.

They were on sync and every note was on the spot, it was as if they were watching two professional musicians, no more like two prodigies.

Amber sighed before giving Ashton a smile, even her eyes were smiling. Ashton's lips may remain the same but his eyes are smiling towards her as well.

'How nostalgic,' both of them thought.

There was only one time that both of them enjoyed playing their respective instruments and that was when they were children.

"Well I guess, miss Wood is not all talk, that was a wonderful performance," Glenn finally returned to his senses and commented as he and Madison approached the two of them.

But just as they approach, Madison somehow tripped and her hand, ended up pulling on Amber's mask, which was a string one.

"I'm so sor- *gasps*"

The applaud were changed to different gasps as they all look at Amber with a shock look.

Madison was holding her mask.

Madison's shock were changed with fear when she saw mock playing in Amber's eyes.

"How cliché," Amber said in a voice only both of them could hear.

"Is it too scary?" Amber asked everyone as she looked around the venue.

"Can you please return my mask to me now? I don't want to have anyone having a heart attack because of my face," Amber said with a nonchalant look.

Madison who was still stupefied by her words absentmindedly gave her the mask.

"Too bad, the strings were snapped," Amber shook her head.

She saw a lot of people with mocking look, as they look at her from below the stage.

But to their surprise, especially Ashton's family, she actually smiled.

One with confidence and pride.

"First time seeing a scar? Tsk tsk tsk, aren't you too enclosed to your own world. Now don't be scared, I won't bite," she said before opening her palm towards Ashton.

Ashton shook his head before reaching in his inner pocket and pulled out another mask.

"Told you, we need extra," Amber even winked at him.

With fluid movement, she put it on for it was also a stringed one, it was of a different colour.

If the one a while ago was a silver coloured one, this time it was a royal blue one and it's colour matched the gown she was wearing.

Her make up was also quite different that even the Price was unable to see any bit of similarity.

"I have shown you two shows for the night, shouldn't I be payed for it?" she asked Glenn after putting it back on.

No one knows where it came from but a few laughs were heard.

She was not a tad bit ashamed of her face but instead she accepts it as part of her.

Everyone they walked passed were looking at her both with mock and shock.

She even winked at a teenager who was staring at her wide eyed, to which the young man couldn't help but to blush.

"Stop attracting more attention," Ashton whispered upon seeing this.

"It was not I who attracted all this, it was your ex," she whispered back.

"Can we get over about that ex already?" Ashton replied exhausted.

Whenever she could she would always bring it up.

"But isn't that the truth?" Amber innocently asked.

"Just call her Glenn's wife and that is more than enough."

"Oh please, I'd rather not, calling his name is like eating poop, so never mind," Amber rolled her eyes.

Amber was watched all through out the night, the way she interacted with the others and the way she moved with Ashton.

Most were wondering just who was she?

How is it that despite her imperfection she could move as if she has none at all?

Most would have been ashamed to face the whole venue if they have such hideous scar, yet why is it that she can act so nonchalant?

Amber knew of their stares but she didn't care.

It was almost over when she went to the restroom.

Just as she was washing her hands, someone suddenly came in and started rummaging at their stuffs.

She can see how red her face have started turning and the way she was having difficulties in breathing.

Amber was even more shock to see that it was the elder lady she met once outside of Jake France's shop.

"Madam!!" she exclaimed just as the elder lady's stuffs were scattered on the ground and she was already having a lot of difficulties.

Amber rushed to her and saw among her stuff an Epipen, having been with her mother for so long, she was no longer that much of a stranger to how this things works.

So without waiting another minute, she injected it on her and waited until her face finally stabilised. At the same time she stood up to lock the door before returning to Cathrine's side.

"It's you," Cathrine weakly said as she lay on Amber's lap.

"It seems that we met again, are you feeling fine now?" Amber smiled and asked.

"You are good, you seemed to know what to do. I am starting to feel better, though I feel bad that I am currently lying on a bathroom floor," she replied weakly.

"I'm sorry if I only have the strength, I would have carried you out," Amber looked apologetic about this.

"Well, I suppose this is better than dying?" Cathrine laughed before she turned serious.

"I watched how you managed the happening a while ago."

Amber was first stunned before her face turned sad.

"I know, I could have done it better yet I just went ahead and run my mouth, picking a fight to each and everyone of them. It's just I can't hold back seeing how they are trying to trample him over and over again."

"Was he the one you were taking about? Back in the shop?" Cathrine asked more.

She wanted to know more of the character of this young lady, so she decided to still not speak of her identity.

"He is, the person I want to help no matter what. But it seems that I still pull him down instead of helping him up," Amber replied sadly.

She knew that she was still thinking logically a while ago but there are more ways for her to handle it than plainly going head on.

"You seemed to be a smart one, but let me be a nosy old lady, are you in good terms with all his family?"

"I haven't truly met everyone, I haven't met his grandmother yet but I am in good terms with the others," Amber replied honestly.

"You seemed to be here for a while now? Could it be that the grandmother hate you, the way you spoke back then, you seemed to be at fault," Cathrine probe further.

"I am indeed at fault for just as I have said back then, I made a selfish decision which deprived him of his freedom. So I understand if even his whole family hates me."

Cathrine slowly stood up and both started fixing themselves.

"You don't want to try and gain her favour?" Cathrine wondered.

"If it makes him have peace then I will do my best to gain her approval but if she still couldn't accept me then I will respect her as much as possible," Amber replied still full of honesty.

"What if she still hates you after that? If she tries to bully you?" Cathrine still probed further.

"I am not who I am if I let her bully me over and over again, just as I have shown a while ago I will also fight back but that doesn't mean I will go out of line. If she really hates me then I can only stay away from her."

"If she tried to make Ashton leave me then I will accept it if Ash wishes to do so as well, even if the time was not yet right, I won't hold him back. But if..."

Amber then looked at Cathrine seriously.

"If Ash didn't want to leave me and his grandmother still pulls us apart, I won't let him go. That is how important he is now to me, I won't let anything or anyone take him away from me even if it was death itself."

Cathrine was astounded, she can remember one other person who spoke with her in such a way.

A young girl from way back.

She wanted to runaway and Cathrine too tried to stop her but that girl was adamant.

~I will respect you ma'am for being older than me and someone I care for but there are things that we young ones also wants to do and wants to protect. As for me? I want to protect my freedom, this engagement won't make any of us happy, so I will not abide to any of your demands.~

Both of them stand by their word and both of them have the personality to do so.
