Chapter 607 – Pagoda Race (2)

The fourth floor was nothing.

The fifth floor was so-so.

Miaomiao scoffed at the suppression force of the pagoda. He had fought so many clones in the isolated training space, and he got used to the natural aura of the high-ranked immortals.

Moreover, Miaomiao had the simulation mode. Whenever he was bored, he always watched a simulation fight between his clone and strong immortals. Sometimes, Miaomiao even simulated a battle between deities!

Coping with this natural suppression force and random gravity was trivial to Miaomiao. He was confident that he could challenge the raw aura of a 50-star stellar constellation immortal without using Qi.

Miaomiao calculated. He believed that his limit should be somewhere between the 40th floor and the 60th floor, depending on luck.

'What a pity. I've failed to become an immortal within a year… Heck, 36,000 years in dantian space isn't enough for me to ascend! I'm such a talentless cultivator.'

He self-blamed while he dashed up the stairs with his hands behind his back. When he crossed the threshold of the new floor, he Naruto-ran toward the next staircase.

The sounds of the pagoda no longer interested Miaomiao. He only cared about his limitation and his speed.

His goal was the 60th floor! Once he reached his limit, he would think about his fame and reputation later.

Also, Miaomiao was concerned about Xie Lian's safety. He wanted to finish this trial as quickly as possible.

Run faster!

Climb the stairs faster!

After reaching his limits, keep going until the day was over!

If he couldn't go any further, he would wait...

Wait faster!

Hmm???

Miaomiao's feet stopped moving for one second as his brain.exe malfunctioned while he was absentminded.

'How could someone wait faster? What the heck, brain?'

Miaomiao got rid of useless thoughts and kept on going.

Two hours later

Pan Mei and Horus were anxious. They managed to reach the 20th floor, which was the passing mark of inner disciples. Yet, Miaomiao maintained his speed throughout the marathon, and he didn't seem tired at all.

Horus was fine since he was a 35-star stellar constellation. His limit was the 45th floor, and he knew when to stop.

As for Pan Mei, he was not in a good condition. Although he used a similar cultivation method as Miaomiao and he had 9 stellar stars and 35 regular planets in his dantian, his passive Daos were a lot weaker than Miaomiao.

Currently, Pan Mei relied on basic Daos, such as the Dao of Axman, Dao of Anatomy, and Dao of Willpower to enhance his physical abilities. Thus, his buffs didn't give him an edge over Miaomiao or Horus.

Pan Mei calculated. At this rate, he might reach his limits somewhere between the 30th and 40th floor. After that, he might have to use artifacts to continue.

While Pan Mei had been thinking, he noticed that Horus glanced at him and sneered.

Something was not right.

As Pan Mei had guessed, Horus suddenly turned around and sent a flying kick at him!

There was no rule that contestants and candidates couldn't hit each other during the assessment exam. Sabotages, ambushes, or trickeries were within the rules as long as their body parts other than their feet didn't touch the floor.

Pan Mei juked to the right and dodged the flying kick.

However, Horus suddenly spread his wings and transformed into a half-falcon half-human. His feet turned into hawk claws, and they came for Pan Mei.

Getting caught off-guard, the claws grazed Pan Mei's face and chest, leaving shallow wounds.

Horus continued to flap his wings to fly and circled around Pan Mei.

"Bastard!" Pan Mei was enraged. He opened his system inventory and brought out a giant war ax, which was a divine-grade weapon.

Horus widened his eyes as he sensed the aura of the divine weapon.

Realizing that he was no match against Pan Mei, who had a divine-grade weapon, Horus fled toward a window of the pagoda, but he didn't fly out.

Pan Mei didn't pursue. He only glared at the humanoid falcon.

"I'll settle this later."

Pan Mei turned around and sprinted toward the staircase, which led to the next floor.

Horus grumbled for a moment and transformed back into a human. He glanced at his fingers.

"I forgot my rings. Oh, well."

Horus slipped his hand into his underwear, aka the only piece of cloth he had, and scratched his butt cheeks. While he was at it, he shoved his index finger into his anus and pulled something soft from it.

The mysterious thing looked like a brown golf ball. Its softness and smell were the same as a poop, but it was not a piece of feces. It was a living being, which lived inside his lower abdomen.

Horus gently knitted on it. A few seconds later, the small poop-like thing got larger.

A minute later, the brown poop thing transformed into a large python with wings. It hissed and stared at its master.

"Go, my boy. Kill the nearest guy on the higher floor. Do it quickly!"

Hiss!

The brown python jetted toward the staircase and followed the scent of Pan Mei.

Horus laughed and sniffed his finger, which had just inserted his butthole.

"Ew!"

Disgusted by the smell, Horus looked for something to clean his finger. He wanted to use his underwear to wipe it, but he was afraid that the cloth will be dirtied.

Then, Horus noticed a red carpet, which had been on this floor since the beginning.

He squatted and rubbed the carpet with his oily index finger.

Then, Horus heard the notification of the pagoda.

"… Ah."

It was unknown if Horus was afflicted with Mao Miaomiao's curse or he had a bird brain. Horus suddenly forgot that he couldn't use other parts of his body to touch the floor.

WHOOSH

Horus was teleported out of the realm and appeared inside the resting place of initiates.

His scroll also lit up. The number changed from [1] to [3].

"FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!"

Enraged, frustrated, and disappointed, Horus screamed while he held his head. He shed tears of anger, and he rubbed his eyes with THE FINGER by instinct.

Obviously, the finger was extremely dirty. Horus accidentally hurt his eyes.

"MY EYES!!"

Pan Mei managed to reach the 30th floor, but he couldn't progress any further.

Currently, a stinky flying snake had been harassing him by spitting strange brown liquid all over his body. However, the spit didn't do anything to him other than inflict an abnormal status.

Ding

That was the only message Pan Mei got. His game system didn't inform him how the curse would affect him.

"Leave me alone!"

Pan Mei swung his ax, but the flying snake easily dodged it.

SPIT

SPLASH

The spit landed on his face.

Now, Pan Mei was enraged. Instead of trying to proceed further to keep up with Miaomiao's pace, he chased after the snake.

SPIT

SPIT

The dirty spit got into his eyes. Pan Mei took off his robe and cleaned his face before he tossed it at the snake.

The snake flew outside of the pagoda to flee from Pan Mei. Only then, it was teleported away from the plane as it left the assessment vicinity.

Pan Mei managed to catch his breath. He panted and sweated profusely.

"That fucking bird… I swear I will get him back."
