~sigh~

"I need to take a vacation some time." Caleb let out a sigh.

"Where would you even go?" Arthur asked feeling curious.

"The Duchy of Belserion." Caleb stated right away.

"Oh... that's very far." As far as Arthur could recall, it was an area that even in his past life was unexplored. 'Players had only just reached that area when I died.'

"I know its far and also why I want to go there. Not many places where you can get snowy mountains and tropical beaches in the same location." Caleb revealed.

"That is unique." This was new information for Arthur as Belserion was a very high leveled location.

Hearing about it from an NPC this early on was high unexpected and was probably told simply became he had venerated reputation in the town.

Seeing Caleb's behavior, Arthur knew that it was probably gonna be a non-productive day.

'Though does it count that way for the NPCs?' He wondered but decided to just go along with it.

He ended up talking with the Guild master for two hours before the man finally stopped ranting.

"Anyways, if you want to take a job I have a few new one's that popped up." Caleb said, putting down the empty bottle of spirit.

He had finished it all in the duration of two hours, and still seemed to be fine.

"What jobs are they?" Arthur inquired.

"There's three that have arrived. First is an escort job, second is a gathering job and the third is a subjugation job." Caleb replied.

"Hmm, tell me all of them. I'll decide after." Arthur asked, as the notification for the quest hadn't popped up yet.

"For the Escort Job you have to bring one of the junior alchemists to find a few materials in the Ocher plains. The gathering job is the farthest one, you'll have to go to the mountains behind Trunel Woods. You need to gather Rock Bee wax." Caleb said making Arthur raise his brows.

"Rock Bees are... a pain." Arthur said with a wry smile.

Many players would get familiarized with the Rock Bees and would be tempted after seeing the high rewards from their jobs. What they wouldn't know until later is how troublesome the Rock bees are.

Each bee is about the size of a Ping pong ball and could sting with great power. Plus they could fly around fast enough to dodge most of the player's attacks. Then there was the fact that the bees would attack players in a swarm too, making it easy for them to kill.

The one weakness the bees did have was the fact that they were very weak and had little in terms of defenses. They were basically glass cannons and could be wiped out with a wide area attack or spell.

But most players around this time didn't really have spells like them. And it only took a couple of bees to sting them to make them stunned and then be overwhelmed.

Another issue with the Rock Bees was the fact that once they were disturbed, they would leave the area forcing the players to find them again. This made harvesting Rock Bee wax regularly hard as one would first need to discovers the bees.

Most of the time people stumbled upon them by luck, thus the guild issuing a Job meant that there was someone who had found it and as such set a request.

They wouldn't want an incompetent person to take on the quest and mess it up, as failure would mean being unable to get the Rock Bee Wax.n0velusb.c0m

As such it was a difficult task to take on.

"They sure are dangerous, but their wax sells for a lot. And if you manage to harvest extra, you can get a premium price for it on top of the job commission." Caleb offered some extra incentive.

Hearing this Arthur did feel quite tempted.

'I can also keep some of the wax for myself. It does provide a good defense boost when used.' Arthur thought to himself.

The reason why the Rock Bee wax sold for a lot was because it could harden into a tough coating. Players could apply this to their armor or shields to improve its defense temporarily.

Of course, being wax also meant that it was weak to heat and was useless against fire attacks. But if one considered the opposite, it was good against frost attacks.

'If I manage to get a decent amount of it, I can even use it against the Ice Dragon... though depending on how things go I shouldn't have to fight it.' Arthur pondered on it before deciding.

"Alright, I just might take it depending on when's the deadline." Arthur finally said.

"There is no deadline." Caleb said with a smile, knowing that Arthur would probably not be able to resist now.

"That works in my favor, I'll take that." Arthur agreed.
