"Haah… That should be the last of em…" Arthur took a breath as he sat down on the grass.
Nearly twenty corpses of the Adult Black Scruff Wolves were lying around him.
"Seems like this should have been the main pack of the wolves…" Arthur muttered to himself.
His fight had attracted the attention of the rest of the pack, causing him to take them down together. Thankfully Arthur's Stamina and HP had been restored at the last level up allowing him to prevail in the end.
'It still depleted a lot of my Stamina,' Arthur thought as he looked at his stamina bar which was hovering in the low twenties.
His reinforced armor had helped him a lot though, as without it, he would likely have sustained much damage. If not for that, he might not have been able to take down such a large pack at once.
"I was almost forced to add my stat points in the middle of the battle too…" Arthur said as he pulled up his stat screen.
If he had to do that, he would have regretted it a bit as they would have been put into stats he wouldn't want at that time. But now all was fine as he had managed to overcome it all.
There was another option Arthur had too, which was to summon his new pet. But he couldn't do that as of now, due to the restriction he had.
'It is necessary that I only summon the beetle when I'm 'there'.' Arthur had his hand forced right now.

This time Arthur exclusively focused on his Non-physical Stats as he would be needing them greatly soon. While he couldn't use his pet right now, it didn't mean that it won't be used later.
He simply needed to wait till he satisfied the condition needed for the class he was aiming for.
The Will stat was important to control and use pets, while Intelligent and Wisdom were mostly magic oriented stats. But they still affected the growth of some skills. The higher wisdom one had, the faster one would be able to grow skills that improved with use.
It was a hidden effect that most players wouldn't know until a couple of years later.
This was why even Non magic class users tried to improve their Wisdom stat to a certain point. Of course, the growth from the stat increase wasn't massive. It was small, but it still helped in the long term.
"My experience is nearly at the 50% mark too. That is way more than I had set out to gain in this run." Arthur was pleased regardless. "Though the experience gain here is now trash." He was barely gaining 1% or less experience from the wolves he was hunting.
Only the level 7 wolves gave him 1% experience while those below it simply gave him a combined notification only when several of them were killed. The game wouldn't tell the player until it was at least 1%.
Arthur ate some consumables to restore his stamina and harvested the pelts of the Adults Black Scruff wolves before continuing his journey. By the time he was near the village, Arthur was close to running out of his stamina.
