Arc 5 Chapter 11 Part 1
In every moment that had passed, An Xin’s Support Level on the Star Network had been dropping frantically.
By the time it was cut off, An Xin’s Support Level had fallen to 53 million. Meanwhile, Lan Ya’s Support Level jumped up to 60 million because of the earlier drama, making him leap up to the Number One spot.
“Our most supported competitor is still Lan Ya. It’s really impressive. Now we ask Lan Ya to choose one of the remaining contestants, who will be potentially eliminated today. Which person do you choose? Also, please tell us your reasons.”
Lan Ya glanced at Shen Jiayan, with an expression of finding this decision difficult. Then, Lan Ya lowered his head to conceal the smugness in his eyes, “I choose An Xin. The reason is that I don’t think that it will do him any good, continuing to confine himself in this kind of narrow environment. Therefore, I hope that after he leaves, he will be able to change.”
However, even if he talked too much with so much hype, in the end, he just wanted to get An Xin out of this game.
“Now that Lan Ya chose An Xin to be potentially eliminated, is there any competitor who is willing to go to Redemption Island to save him?” The Program Team added, “If the rescue succeeds, the savior can replace him and become the eliminated person. To put it simply, if the rescue succeeded, it was a life exchange for a life. If the rescue failed, it was useless to go in to save the person.
This couldn’t be said to be a harsh requirement.
At least in the previous seasons, there had never been a contestant who was willing to stand up for others. Therefore, Redemption Island had always been a false hope.
Unexpectedly, today was an exception.
They just saw Mo slowly step forward under the eyes of everyone and said, “I’ll go.”

Shen Jiayan subconsciously grabbed the corner of Mo’s clothes and shook his head. Although he did not speak, he obviously implied refusal with those eyes. As soon as he heard the name “Redemption Island”, he felt that it was a very dangerous place. Shen Jiayan did not want Mo to take risks for him.
Upon seeing this, Mo rubbed Shen Jiayan’s head and said with eyes filled with doting, “Be good, it’s fine. You return to the cave tonight and hug that Snow-Toothed Beast to sleep. I’ll come back in the morning.”

“Exactly! The Strange Beasts on the Redemption Island are not herbivores. They are at a higher level than the Snow-Toothed Beast. Does he think that he can take out the Redemption Idol intact, from the fangs of so many Strange Beasts by himself?”
“It’s better if he can’t get it, so that they can both hug each other and get lost! In particular, this An Xin dares to steal someone from our Royal Highness Lan Ya without any self-respect. Didn’t An Xin look at himself, to see if he is worthy and if he even has any qualifications?”
From the beginning to the end, the comments on the Star Network were all criticizing Mo for being overwhelmed by beauty and mocking An Xin’s previous attempt to “seduce someone else’s boyfriend”, which failed miserably.
It was just that no matter what the people commented, Mo still went to the Redemption Island along with the Program Team.
It was night and Shen Jiayan just went back to the cave alone.
The Snow-Toothed Beast was still rejoicing that only its favorite master came back tonight and did not return with its dreadful master. Its tail continuously happily waved in the air. However, in the next second, it immediately clipped back its tail to its body after feeling Shen Jiayan’s visibly depressed mood. It blinked its blue eyes and bent its head, as it innocently looked at Shen Jiayan.
Shen Jiayan rubbed its head and cheered himself up, “Are you hungry? I’ll roast some meat for you.”
Once the Snow-Toothed beast heard this, it became happy again and hopped around Shen Jiayan. From time to time, a howl “Awoo” would sound out from its throat. Ever since it tasted Mo’s roasted meat once, it fell in love with the taste of roasted meat. Every time it heard the sound of roasting meat, the whole beast’s body would be in a state of excitement.

Shen Jiayan felt amused by its antics and was in a better mood. He reached out for the flint-stone to prepare lighting up the campfire.
The spark caused by the collision of the flint-stone fell into the campfire. The campfire was supposed to rise up in flames, but it grew weaker and weaker, until it became completely extinguished in the end.
“Don’t worry. I’ll try it again.” Shen Jiayan said. It was as if he was speaking to the Snow-Toothed Beast, but it was also as if he was comforting himself.
Shen Jiayan tried it once again. This time, the spark fell on the campfire and not only did it get extinguished, it also left a faint wisp of black smoke, as if it was silently mocking Shen Jiayan.
The Snow-Toothed Beast looked at Shen Jiayan without blinking.
“This fire may not light up…” Shen Jiayan said with some hesitation. However, before he finished speaking, he saw the Snow-Toothed Beast curiously lean over to the campfire and casually poked at it with its claws a few times. Right at that moment, the fire sprang up and it almost burned the Snow-Toothed Beast’s fur off. It was so scared that it jumped into the distance.
Shen Jiayan suddenly became silent.
