Unless he had some kind of backer that could support him from behind, there was no way he would be so stupid to assimilate Celleria's immortal blood! After all, given how close the people here were living to the real immortals, he had to know that reaching that stage meant that one would actually turn weaker than he was before, rather than suddenly growing in strength!

Unsurprisingly enough, as soon as I raised my eyes towards the hill on which Makay's manor was located, my energy vision quickly proved that it wasn't as useless as I thought it was when it failed to help me track just where the heck did Otto go.
While it didn't happen in the normal vision, preventing any of the common folk from noticing the huge commotion happening on the hill, one I switched to my energy vision and focused all my attention to that place, there was only one word that came to my mind.
Carnage.
With how violently the different shapes and colours of energy were clashing against each other, there was no way I would ever believe it was just the lord doing some light exercises.
Armed with this new knowledge, I didn't dare to waste even a single second more.
"Bonger, I know that you are busy cultivating your body, but right now it's not the time for this. Stop acting like nothing around me has anything to do with you, and go stay with Eve. I won't be able to handle it if anything were to happen to her now."
Even though I was completely sure that my house was safe when I left it, it couldn't be said about the near future. Just looking at the scale of the ongoing fight at the lord's manor, I couldn't be sure that by going there, I would be able to leave that place unscathed. Unless I was willing to once again present the world with the devastating power of the apocalypse class spell, then I would have to limit myself to banking on my experience in using entropy, rather than the overwhelming power that used to always accompany me during all the adventures ever since I left the arena town!

Seeing the hint of hesitation on Bonger's face, my face that lighted up during the course of our small exchange, nearly instantly soured back down to perfectly calm and serious one.

Sitting on a stray boulder beside the street, Otto was looking at me with a perverted smile, as if he was about to flaunt how he used Celleria's naivety for his own purposes.

Inevitably responding with the remaining part of the lyrics of the popular song that Otto coincidentally used to greet me, I was about to come up with some kind of explanation to what the heck I saw in his eyes when his next sentence froze the blood in my veins.
