Splash- Splash-

Thud-

"Meow meow meow!!!"

"Mongchi. What are you doing?"

"Meow meow meow meow!!!!"

Hae-jun rushed over in a hurry, and Mongchi, who had been fighting a fierce battle between the ocean and the land, finally appeared with a fish in his mouth.

With distinct stripes that stood out like a zebra's,

"Huh, did you catch that?"

"Meow."

A rock bream!

<4 - Grade B>

"Well done."

"Meow."

The guy proudly placed the rock bream, which was flapping in front of Hae-jun, on the ground.

It was the first time he had seen a Grade B, and it was a wild rock bream, which was worth a lot of money.

Even farmed rock bream was expensive, but I heard that wild rock bream could fetch hundreds of thousands of won per kilogram.

The one Mongchi had caught in his mouth was at least 1.5kg in size.

'Mongchi. I thought you just ate your meals and took naps every day...'

Come to think of it, he was an amazing guy who produced that expensive Kopi Luwak and caught a rock bream as soon as he arrived at the beach.

"I'll take good care of you from now on!"

"Meow!!"

Anyway, this proved that there was life in the ocean.

Hae-jun also gained courage and decided to cast his fishing rod into the ocean. It was a crude fishing rod made of bamboo, but he had high hopes that he would catch a big fish.

.

.

.

6 hours later.

Hae-jun's buoyancy net (a net for storing caught fish) was still empty.

No, there was only one rock bream.

"Damn it, you're really amazing."

Mongchi strutted around Hae-jun, showing off.

The guy had done it in 10 minutes, but he had wasted 6 hours.

Before he knew it, the sun was setting and his stomach was growling.

"Should we camp here today?"

I brought the equipment with the intention of camping if the exploration took a long time.

Of course, I spent more time fishing than exploring.

Hae-jun hurriedly gathered firewood and started a fire. Then he cleared a space for a bivouac and spread out a tarp.

Gurgle-

I was starving.

All I had eaten all day was the pork cutlet sandwich I had packed for lunch, so it was no wonder.

“Let’s eat something. Mongchi, are you hungry too?”

“Meow.”

I took out the pine mushrooms I had packed in my backpack to satisfy my hunger.

I decided to think about what to make for dinner while I ate.

I searched for recipes and found dishes like stir-fries, pot rice, and rice bowls. The dish that appealed to Hae-jun’s appetite the most was grilled pine mushrooms, but since we couldn’t find any pine mushrooms, we had to pass.

“They say it’s delicious even if you just tear it apart and eat it? Let’s try that for now.”

The most basic and best way to eat pine mushrooms is raw.

They said that the best way to experience the flavor is to tear them into thin strips and eat them raw, so Hae-jun tore the mushrooms into long strips. As he did, the fragrance became even stronger, just as the description said.

He put the thin stem in his mouth and chewed. The texture was more crunchy than chewy. Soon, the flavor of the mushrooms filled his mouth. It was a refreshing and cool pine scent.

“Delicious.”

After trying it for himself, he could see why people praised wild pine mushrooms so much.

I’ll have to look carefully at the forest on the way back. I might be able to find some Grade A pine mushrooms.

After eating the mushrooms, my appetite somehow became even stronger.

Hae-jun got up from his seat and went up to the rock where he had originally cast the net.

I prayed earnestly that something would be caught and lifted the trap, and inside it was...

“Oh! I caught something.”

“Meoww~!”

Mongchi, who had followed him, cried out at the sight of the shrimp in the fyke net.

It was a shrimp with a bright green tail and whiskers that were almost twice the size of its body.

<Large Shrimp - Grade C>

Large shrimp.

And there were almost 20 of them.

“This is crazy. Is today a wild party?”

The pine mushrooms we picked in the forest, the rock bream that Mongchi caught, and now the wild large shrimp. If we were to sell them, they would be worth almost a million won.

I returned to the base camp like a victorious general, holding the rock bream in his left hand and the large shrimp in his right.

Gulp-

Hae-jun swallowed his saliva and pondered how to eat the rockfish and croaker.

Sashimi for the rockfish, and salt-grilled croaker were the way to go. However, he didn't have a sashimi knife, and he only had a small amount of salt.

"Direct grilling would be better, right?"

"Meow."

"Yeah, let's grill it."

I skewered the rockfish and shrimp and grilled them.

Soon, an appetizing smell wafted in the air.

The croaker signaled that it was okay to eat first.

"Ow, it's hot..."

Hae-jun held the piping hot croaker in his hand and blew on it while peeling off the skin.

One for Mungchi. and One for me. They shared it amicably.

The taste?

Needless to say, it was the best.

A chewy texture and a sweet flavor that became more pronounced with each bite.

I finally understood why people raved about croakers in the fall.

As I ate without thinking, I also finished off the shrimp. It was too early to feel regret. The real game was just beginning.

"Wow~ What is this, it's visually stunning."

Hae-jun muttered as he looked at the golden-brown rockfish.

It was like a fish in front of a cat. Mungchi's pupils were already dilated, and he was ready to pounce on the rockfish at any moment.

"Let's eat."

"Meow!"

As expected, it was delicious.

The savory taste and the firm texture unique to white-fleshed fish were top-notch.

It was a shame that he couldn't eat it as sashimi, but the grilled version was also fantastic! It was perfection in its own right.

After finishing his hearty dinner, Hae-jun covered himself with a blanket and lay down. Thanks to Mungchi taking his place by his side, his body warmed up.

As he listened to the sound of the waves and the crickets, he naturally drifted off to sleep.

'Ah... This is nice. Is this the Peach Blossom Spring?'

Hae-jun fell into a pleasant sleep for the first time in a long while.
