···

Cha Hae-jun blankly stared at the Grade B crops he had successfully cultivated so far.

‘Where is it good for?’

He had succeeded in cultivating them, but he couldn’t tell what they were good for even if he ate them.

The only Grade B ingredient whose effects he had personally experienced was abalone.

“Is it just tastier?··· There must be some hidden effects.”

“Oppa! What are you thinking so deeply about?”

Min-ju, who had arrived at work earlier than the kitchen staff, approached Hae-jun and asked.

“Min-ju. What time is it that you’re already at work?”

“I came out early to have a cup of morning coffee. Do you want some too, Oppa?”

“Sure. I’ll have one.”

“Just wait a moment.”

While Min-ju was extracting the coffee, Hae-jun separately gathered and stored the Grade B ingredients that were spread out on the kitchen counter.

There was a lot to experiment with.

“Here you go.”

“Thank you. But why are you coming to work so early these days?”

“I just woke up early. I’m the diligent type, you know.”

She couldn’t possibly tell him that she was coming out early to spend even a short while being cozy with Hae-jun.

These days, there were more employees and the store was so busy that she didn’t even have time to see his face properly. At best, she could only see him when they ate during their break time.

‘But Hae-jun Oppa has become even more handsome these days.’

The atmosphere was much different from before.

When she had first come to paint the mural, he had just been like a kind-hearted neighborhood Oppa, but now he had become manly and warm. He seemed to have gotten bigger and taller. There were also many subtle changes that were hard to explain.

And so was Min-ju’s heart.

‘He’s handsome.’

Minju took a sip of coffee and stole a glance at Hae-jun.

She was sending him signals in her own way, but it seemed like Hae-jun wasn’t noticing them very well.

That kind of innocence was also one of Hae-jun’s charms. Min-ju smiled broadly for no reason as she put the coffee cup to her lips.

“What are you looking at? Is there something on my face?”

“Ah··· No. It’s nothing. But, Oppa. Why has your skin become so good these days?”

“My skin?”

“Yes. Are you secretly getting skin treatments?”

“When would I have time for that?”

He touched his skin with his fingertips as he listened to Min-ju’s words.

“Is that so?”

“Yes. Your skin seems to have become whiter and smoother.”

Min-ju brought her round eyes close to Hae-jun’s face and spoke.

‘Ugh, she’s too close.’

Hae-jun, who had become embarrassed, coughed in vain and turned his body away.

Min-ju’s face also turned red as she uselessly touched the coffee machine.

An awkward atmosphere flowed through the kitchen.

“Ahem.”

“······.”

He scratched his cheek in vain as his face turned pale. A smooth and soft texture. Come to think of it, his skin seemed to have gotten a little better.

Lately, I’ve been experimenting on myself, using several Grade B ingredients that I’ve been harvesting occasionally as a guinea pig.

Abalone has already shown excellent efficacy in recovering from fatigue, but I haven’t been able to experience the effects of tomatoes, apples, and some salad vegetables with my own body.

And I’ve been consuming a few Grade B lemons since two days ago, and I heard from Min-ju that my skin has improved.

‘Do Grade B lemons have the effect of improving skin?’

While commuting between the Dimension Farm and working on the fields, my skin had darkened and become rough.

If my skin suddenly improved, it must be the effect of the lemons.

‘It has good effects.’

If I can harvest a large quantity of Grade B lemons, I might be able to help people who are troubled by skin problems. Of course, I’ll have to keep the secret to myself.

Anyway, Hae-jun decided to collect the Grade B lemons separately as he harvested them.

If he pickled them and distributed them to his employees and regular customers, they would probably be well-received.

“How’s work?”

“It’s fun. I think this job suits my constitution. Hehe. But why did you refuse to appear on TV, oppa?”

Appearing regularly on TV has a ripple effect that is completely different from appearing on YouTube once in a while.

Moreover, PD Jang Il-su was known for creating well-made variety shows. Every program he produced had high viewership ratings, so not only celebrities but also ordinary people wanted to appear on them somehow.

Min-ju was curious about the reason why Hae-jun had kicked away the luck that had come to him.

“It would cause damage to the people around me. If I film that, it’ll become even noisier. It would be a nuisance to the people around me. Business is also just right now.”

He didn’t want to accept any filming here at Sunflower.

Just in case someone found out about the Dimension Farm.

‘If it wasn’t here, I would have considered it.’

“That’s a shame.”

“Why?”

“It’s just··· I think it would have been nice if you did it.”

‘Oppa looks really cool when he cooks.’

She couldn’t bring herself to say those last words.

Hae-jun was subtly sexy when he concentrated on cooking, but lately, there were so many customers that she couldn’t see him properly.

If he appeared on TV, she would be able to see him over and over again.

Min-ju secretly wanted Hae-jun to appear on TV.

“It’s almost time to prepare. Should we get to work now?”

“Yes.”

Min-ju’s cheeks flushed red again.

***

That evening.

After finishing his business, Hae-jun hurriedly entered the Dimension Farm.

The beans and peppers that he had planted 36 hours ago in farm time had not yet fully grown.

‘It’s taking some time.’

When the sprouts emerged from the seeds, he gave them fertilizer made from fallen leaves.

When the stems grew and began to bear fruit, he managed them by spraying them with a natural calcium agent made from mixing eggshells and vinegar. In the real world, he would have used expensive fertilizer, but since that was impossible here, he had to make and use everything himself.

The lovingly raised soybeans and peppers were the first step in the process of making soy sauce.

"Hae-jun, what are all those?"

Chloe asked as she took out rows of wheat and cabbages from the warehouse to feed the chickens and goats, looking at the soybeans and peppers planted in the field.

"These are seeds that I specially asked Captain Mulvia for. Peppers and soybeans."

"Soybeans? You can easily buy soybeans at the general store in town."

"This is a special variety."

The villagers here also eat soybeans, but they eat green soybeans or peas with their meals, not white soybeans used to make tofu or soybean paste.

Hae-jun had a hard time getting white soybeans and peppers from Captain Mulvia. This time, it wasn't a gift but a formal request, so he paid a whopping 20 gold, 10 gold per variety, for these precious items.

Chloe looked curiously at the peppers bearing fruit.

"What are these called?"

"Peppers."

"Peppers? Are they vegetables?"

"Yes."

"Can you just eat them?"

"You can eat them raw. But I wouldn't···."

It's delicious when you dip it in ssamjang with pork belly and eat it as a wrap, but if you eat it raw without anything, it's the worst punishment.

Hae-jun was telling her not to eat it raw because it was too spicy, when suddenly Chloe did something unexpected.

Crunch-

She picked out a small, hard, and very spicy-looking one from among them and put it in her mouth.

Chloe probably meant to try a small fruit before the harvest, but she had to pick the pepper that looked the spiciest to a Korean who eats peppers!

'Why are you punishing yourself?'

Hae-jun couldn't bear to watch the sight(?) and closed his eyes tightly.

'I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.'

"Delicious··· !!??··· It's bitter, haak! It's spicy, spicy!!"

Chloe rolled her feet around and fanned herself with her hands as a powerful spiciness surged like a tsunami.

She spat out the pepper she was chewing, but it was too late. The capsaicin had paralyzed her tongue and given her severe pain.

"Water. Water. Water!"

"Instead of water, drink goat's milk. It works better."

That was the best advice Hae-jun could give.

"Goat's milk? Ugh, I'll go first."

Chloe ran to the ice cave in a panic, and her back looked somehow pitiful.

After a commotion, the soybeans and peppers finally grew enough to be harvested.

It seemed to have taken about 40 hours.

Hae-jun diligently harvested the soybeans and peppers.

He spread new fertilizer on the empty land and planted one of each of the spices he had received as a gift from Captain Mulvia, such as cumin, cloves, cinnamon, and coriander.

He had put them in the warehouse because he wasn't using them at Sunflower right away, but since he was trying to grow B-grade ingredients, he decided to plant them all.

Maybe he could make a new dish with the combination of those spices.
