Returning to Yesterday

Bang… Bang… Bang… Bang…

Amidst the dreary roaring sounds, Xin Yun felt tired from head to toe, his whole body was weak and exhausted. His mind was in a chaotic state, everything had gone disastrously. It was like suffering a major illness.

Hm? He was rubbing his forehead in pain when Xin Yun’s movements suddenly became rigid…. This didn’t feel right! Could it be… he actually wasn’t evaporated by that shock wave that was powerful enough to destroy everything?

Forcing his eyes open, he hurriedly looked around. The area around him looked unusual but was not very large. The lighting was also not very good. This place… appeared to be a dried up well!

Taking in all of his surroundings, Xin Yun emotionally clenched his fist. He thanked the heavens for blessing him. He truly had not died! Although his current situation was very disastrous, much more so than in previous situations. Perhaps this was the worst situation he had ever been in, but so long as people stayed alive, they would always have hope.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As he was feeling emotional, another chain of explosions sounded off. This time sounded different. The sounds of the explosions sounded closer this time around, and the explosions this time caused stronger vibrations. He even fell on his butt as the well began to shake.

Subconsciously raising his head, through the opening of the well some ten-odd meters away, Xin Yun saw a flash of red fly past. Immediately following that was another round of roaring explosions.

Staring at the opening of the well with a stunned gaze and mouth agape, Xin Yun felt something was odd. This… Why was it that all of this felt familiar? It was… It was as if he had seen this situation before, but… but how was that possible!

A dried-up well, dragons, explosions… a similar situation, Xin Yun had only experienced this once in his life. Recalling that time, it was just after he had transmigrated from Earth to this world. At that time… the village they were living in came under attack. He and the other children were hidden in a dried-up well. By some stroke of luck, his life was saved, but… that was something that happened who knows how many years ago. It was so long ago that Xin Yun believed that he had forgotten about it, but it was really just tucked deep in his memories.

“Hah…” He faintly sighed. If he really could return to that time that would be great, but sadly… a human only has one try at life. There is no second chance.

Shaking his head, Xin Yun slowly lowered his head wanting to inspect his own situation, when an overbearing voice sounded: “Hey! Boy… go over there. I want this spot.”

“Hm?” Hearing this voice, Xin Yun was stunned. They were even able to avoid his spiritual consciousness, reaching his side without him noticing. This… could it be one of the experts!

Xin Yun hastily stood up. In the face of the strong, respect was absolutely necessary. Standing up, Xin Yun quickly turned around and faced the owner of the voice. Just as he was about to speak, the sight before him caused him to be dumbfounded.

Looking around, the one sitting before him was just a boy around ten years old. How could he possibly be an expert at such a young age? That Yi Luo Xiang was already considered a great talent, and even she did not become an expert until in to her twenties. This world definitely did not have such an absurd person.

What Xin Yun found most peculiar was the familiarity he felt towards that face. Yes… familiar indeed. It seemed that they had met before, and… for some reason, just looking at this face made him want to smash his fist in to it. Following that up by beating him to the ground then harshly kicking him.

As he was thinking, the boy had already run out of patience and grabbed Xin Yun’s collar. Putting some strength in to his arms, he prepared to toss Xin Yun away. Faced with being lifted, it wasn’t that Xin Yun had put up no resistance, but the opposition’s arm strength was absolutely not something he could resist.

“Thump…” With that, Xin Yun was embarrassingly tossed in to a puddle of mud. Looking down at him in disdain, the tall boy went and sat where Xin Yun had just been. He then gestured and three children around eight or nine went over to him.

Mindlessly lying in the mud, Xin Yun was not mad. It was not that he was an expert in self-control, but the main reason was that he had been utterly stunned by the situation. Familiar… he was familiar. Everything before him became more and more familiar. The scenes and events, he was certain that he had experienced them before.

While he was stunned, a trivial voice came from a darker part of the well. A weak and thin shadow came forward. Stunned, he turned his head to look at the extremely skinny person, as they came out of the shadows.

“Are you ok…” A weak but very pure voice came from the extremely skinny shadow.

Nervously swallowing, Xin Yun felt his heart beat quicken. That’s right… this scene, he had indeed experienced it.

Nervously watching the slowly approaching shadow, when finally, the shadow passed by the light coming in through the hole in the well. At that moment, Xin Yun finally got a clear look at the person’s face. That face had appeared countless times in his dreams. For a while, Xin Yun stared at that face in a daze, as a torrent of tears washed down his face.

Seeing Xin Yun burst in to tears, the skinny shadow leaned over and held Xin Yun’s hands, helping him stand back up.

Seeing the person before him, Xin Yun blankly stood up. At this moment, no matter how slow he was, he had to realize. If… that guy earlier did not make him realize, then the person before him made everything abundantly clear…

That’s right, normally speaking, life had no do-overs, but since transmigration had occurred, then what was wrong with re-doing life? No matter how impossible it was, since it had occurred, there was no point in objecting further.

Taking a deep breath, Xin Yun finally restrained his emotions. He took a look at his own body, as expected… his body had returned to the state of when he was seven and a half years old. As for the person who had helped him up, it was none other than the goddess of his dreams- Sparkling Butterfly Yi Luo Xiang!

No wonder that bad kid could sneak up beside him without being noticed. The current Xin Yun was just a child of seven and a half years. Where would he have gained any spiritual knowledge? He hadn’t even started cultivating yet. Even just looking at physical strength, how could he be considered that guy’s opponent! Being tossed away was just the natural outcome.

Happily looking at Yi Luo Xiang’s face, the current her was far from displaying her future world-class beauty. In truth… the current her was not ugly, but it could not be said that she was beautiful either. She was thin as a stick and had a malnourished look about her. In all, she was but a normal child.

Children were always like this. Some were adorable at a young age, but with aging came uncertainty. It was possible that the child would become extraordinarily ugly. But for some other children, they have average looks at a young age, but as they age, they become extraordinarily beautiful. This sort of thing is something all have experienced.

Of course, in regards to Yi Luo Xiang, beauty was never her biggest strength. Her intellect, her talent and her work ethic were her most praise-worthy aspects.

Facing the reality of having been reborn, Xin Yun was filled with excitement, as he watched Yi Luo Xiang. The heavens truly loved him. First, they allowed him to transmigrate. Now, they allow him a second chance at this life. If this life does not go well, then the heavens could not be tolerated!

Hm… Xin Yun had already made an oath. In this life, not only did he want to raise his own strength… he also wanted his life to be without regrettable imperfections. He wanted to make all of his dreams become reality! He wanted all to care for him, and for all that he cared for to live happily.

Of course, life always had many things that could not be helped. Every person would have many friends, but everyone would also inevitably have some enemies as well. For friends, Xin Yun would let them live happy lives, and for enemies, they would meet countless tragedies.

Taking another deep breath, Xin Yun tilted his head towards the boy who had just taken his spot. His gaze became icy cold… In this life, he would not give them a chance to act out their evil deeds!
