With the doctor's clearance, Lu Xun brought his wife home after she had finished her drip.
Song Xing Xing sat in the passenger's seat while watching Lu Xun focusing on his driving. A faint smile curled on her lips upon seeing the serious look on his face.
The vehicle stopped at the traffic light. Song Xing Xing stretched her arms and held his arms. "I'm sorry. You must be very worried this morning."
Lu Xun glanced at the traffic light and smiled. "Is this matter something that you should be apologizing about? It's not like you chose to get sick." He intertwined their hands together and gave her a gentle squeeze. "Moreover, I am your husband. It's my job to worry about you."
The traffic lights turned green again.
Song Xing Xing leaned on Lu Xun's shoulder as he continued to drive back home.
Lu Xun pulled over at his usual parking spot and walked around the vehicle to help open the passenger's door. Before she could take a step out of the vehicle, Lu Xun had already lowered his body and carried her in his arms.
Her eyes widened in surprise. Because of his sudden movement, Song Xing Xing had to wrap her arms around his neck to stabilize herself.
"What are you doing?" Song Xing Xing blinked. "My body might be a little weak but I can still walk."
"It's fine. Let me carry you for a bit." He tightened his grip around her knee area, not letting her move around in his embrace. "Stay still. Or else you will fall."
Song Xing Xing leaned her head on his chest and let him carry her inside. Fortunately, there was no one around and she was not that shy. Her body swayed with the movement.
Due to her position, Song Xing Xing could only see his strong jaw and his sharp nose. It seemed that he husband looked very handsome from this angle.
Song Xing Xing was appreciating his good look when she suddenly heard a voice greeting them.
"President Lu, Mrs. Lu, you are back."
