{Alright. Now show me more of these humanoid summons.} Lady Ami Janina demanded.

After our brief visit to her personal stockpile of stuff, yeah, apparently that all belonged to her, she returned her … I guess it is her soul from the dragon avatar to her real body.

I then secured a total of 20 dragon avatars for my own use, on top of the one that Magical Exemplar was now bonded with.

And now the divine dragon is making demands. Not that I mind. I like summoning my monsters for any reason, including no reason. And now I have a reason, so a show of monsters is about to commence.

I spent a while just summoning my monsters, mostly Spellcasters and Warriors, as those were the ones Lady Janina was the most interested in, but I did summon some dragons as well. I assumed that being able to summon dragons would impress her, but outside of Shining and Ultimate Dragons, she found them just alright. Now I wish I had more 4500 attack dragons, like the Neo Galaxy-Eyes dragons. … actually, are there other 4500 attack dragons than Ultimate Dragons and Neo Galaxy-Eyes dragons? I don’t remember any. None of the Dragon Synchro monsters go above 4000, except Red Nova Dragon with its effect. Well, a few other Synchro Dragons can also go above that with their effect, but none of them have a base attack of over 4000.

As I was having the monster show, I asked Lady Janina about the Nixie mermaid clan. I did have the understanding that they are somewhere close to here.

Lady Janina did know of it. They are a group of mermaids living somewhat ‘close-by’, near an island that some dragons also live on. That island has its own ‘elder dragon’, like what Lady Janina is to this place, though according to her, the other elder dragon is a lot younger and a lot weaker. Even Agunan agreed, saying that the water dragon that rules that island is only a bit stronger than he is.

The reason for the second somewhat independent island was that water dragons don’t really like this area. With all the rock and the volcanoes and all of that, they were not the biggest fans. So they moved out to the sea and located an island that they use as their own ‘home’.

But there was a problem. Mermaids… merfolk were already living there. At first, the dragons thought about just killing them, but Lady Janina's predecessor bonked them for that. So now, they are living in relative peace.

After she asked why I wanted to know about them, I gave her a brief summary of what happened with Cailie. Lady Janina did seem just a bit taken back by the news, but she then told me that it wasn’t up to her to decide how the merfolk live.

She did then add that if I want to go there and try to influence them, with my power I should be able to beat the greater water dragon that is the ruler of the area. And if I do, the merfolk who look up to him as their ‘King’ should listen to me after that.

I did consider it, but even if I do, it won’t accomplish anything. If I just beat them up for what they did to Cailie, nothing will change. They won’t see Cailie as someone strong or worthy or … whatever term you want to use. They’ll probably just think she is lucky to get acquainted with someone as powerful as me, or something like that. The only way their treatment of Cailie will change is if Cailie herself gets stronger, and comes back and shows everyone just how useful she really can be.

… At least that is my theory. Now that HomeBase is… livable, I could invite Cailie to live there and use Level Up!, and my other BS card tricks like installs, to boost her to be the strongest merfolk around. … maybe help her evolve into an actual mermaid while at it, so I don’t accidentally call her by the wrong race.

For the rest of the afternoon, I ended up summoning even more monsters. Not because I was showing off, per se, but because a lot of the other dragons were also interested in fighting some of my monsters, after seeing Lady Janina enjoying her go at them.

This led to me getting some good data on dragons. Because I was summoning a bunch of different monsters, I could get good estimates on how strong dragons are.

Dragons, when ranked by the System, come in five classes. Infant, lesser, intermediate, greater and divine. Infants are… well, not fully grown dragons. Not that dragons ever really stop growing, according to Lady Janina.

Infant dragons are … well, they are infants so they don’t really fight. And you better not try fighting them, as dragons can get quite protective of their young ones.

Lesser dragons are the weakest fully grown dragons. They are usually 10 to 16 meters long, usually only use one attribute of magic, and are around 2200-2800 in attack and defense. When compared to my cards, that is.

Intermediate dragons are of course the next ones up. Between 17 and 23 meters long, usually with one main attribute and one or two support attributes. And a strength ranging from 2900 to 3600.

Next come greater dragons, like Agunan. At least 24 meters long, but some being a lot bigger, they can use multiple attributes of magic, and while some do focus on one, like Agunan, others use a mix of many attributes. Their strength is anywhere from the 3700 mark, up all the way to 5000 or so.

And then there are the divine dragons. Well, there is only one of them living here, Lady Ami Janina herself. Being enormous in size and monstrous in strength. I have no idea how strong she actually is, but she was able to take on Uria, who at his strongest had 8000/8000 stats, so it should be safe to assume she is stronger than that.

In terms of rates, around 10% of the dragons here are infants, though some are basically already lesser dragons. About 45% are lesser dragons, another 36% are intermediate dragons, with the last 9% being greater dragons. But those are just my estimates.

In the evening, we finally headed back home. My original idea was just flying home on Agunan, but because we stayed for extra long, I decided to just use the Founder’s terminal to teleport all four of us home. Now I know you might ask, four? Who are the four?

Well, it is quite simple. Agunan and I are of course returning home, but we also had two dragon avatars with us. One being Magical Exemplar now in the body of a dragon avatar and the other being Lady Janina, also in a dragon avatar. She had left her actual body here, while her soul was teleporting with us, so she would learn the location of HomeBase.

After teleporting, we appeared in the core room of the Citadel.

“Hello, Endy.” I greeted Endymion, the Master Magician. He was a monster I installed in the True core and then summoned here in the Control tower. He is the one in charge of monitoring this place while I’m away.

“Welcome home, Master. I see that your trip was triumphant.” Endy returned the greeting.

“Yes. Yes it was. How are things here?”

“The job you left for Einar and Eline has been taken care of. And Lady Lua returned just a bit ago.”

“Okay, thanks. Alice should also be heading back with Ria and Wilma, but they are in Covered Core, so it will take about an hour or so.” I told Endy of what I heard from Alice, when I asked her to come to HomeBase today, so I could introduce Lady Janina, and tell them about the dragon avatars. “Also, as you might have noticed, we got some dragon avatars and Exemplar took one over.”

“Yes, I noticed.” Endy stated.

“She’ll be working on the avatar doll project, but if you need someone who can move more freely than you, or you just need assistance, you can call on her.”

“Yes. I shall offer her my assistance as necessary.”

With that small chat with Endy done, I turned back to Lady Janina.

“Sorry about that. Let me show you around.”

“Oh, don’t worry. Time is not something we lack.” Lady Janina just responded. “... but this place. It is quite a strange dungeon.”

“Well it is one of a kind.” Sure there might be other Chaos God Dungeons, but this is the only dungeon with a magical Citadel. At least as far as I know.

“... that core? It is an SS-rank core, I believe? From the behemoth, I assume?” Lady Janina asked.

“Nope. From a world treant I defeated.”

“World treant? Where did you find something like that? Treants almost never grow up to that size, as the ground cannot support them for that long.”

“Well, maybe I got lucky.” I never did tell her about dimensional fissures, just like I didn’t tell her about this place being a Chaos God Dungeon,  because I’m honestly not sure if I’m allowed to. “Come. It is time for a quick tour. I’ll introduce you to everyone when Alice gets here.”

I showed Lady Janina around the Citadel, ending the tour at one of the nicer guest rooms we had. I was going to be giving it to her, so that whenever she wants to go back to her real body, she can leave her dragon avatar in this room. And of course I had to give her one of the very nice rooms, as she is basically the dragon queen, so she deserves nothing less.

With that now taken care of, I used the bit of time I had before Alice arrives so I can do the introductions to analyze and look into these dragon avatars.

As they stood now, they were usable, but had one big problem. Well, more like an intermediate problem. I would need an avatar for each monster I want to have one. Lua clearly spoke that in her dream, I could ban individual monsters from using them, so they had to be more widely available. And as I spoke about them with Lady Janina, I did realize that the dragon avatars can be used by any dragon, as long as it is empty when they transfer their soul into it. So you could at first have Agunan in one, then Agunan leaves the avatar, only for Lady Janina to take control of it. And I think I can do the same with my monsters.

… except for the one little problem where the only way I can put my monster into one of these dragon avatars is with an install. And after an install, removing that card is only possible if I destroy it with something like Mystical Space Typhoon.

But, there should be an easy solution. I think. Since the avatars are not made for just one user, it shouldn’t be that difficult to make a generic version that any of my monsters can use. And since my monsters are held in cards, as long as I add some sort of a ‘card slot’ into the avatar, I can later have them leave the avatar. You know, a card goes in, the monster takes over the avatar. Card comes out, the monster leaves the avatar. At least that is the idea. And using the data I got when making our duel disks, making a ‘card reader’ shouldn’t be too difficult. Then I just mix that with the dragon avatars, and boom. I think we will have something I can name avatar dolls, as it is different enough from the dragon avatars.

And honestly speaking, it really shouldn’t be that difficult to make that. … at least for the humanoid monsters. Some of the other monsters, like beasts, dinosaurs, dragons, etc. might need custom avatar dolls made for that specific type of monster. Even my lovely Dragonmaids, whom I’d love to have in these avatars ASAP, might not be able to use a standard dragon avatar. After all, when Lady Janina enters a dragon avatar, she doesn’t have wings, nor a tail. My Dragonmaids have both, and losing them would be a shame.

There is also the weakening problem to consider, but I think I can solve that by using higher quality materials. I think. And now that I’m thinking about it, making monster type specific avatar dolls might actually help with that. I can do things like install the ‘equip only to specific type of monster, that monster gains 300 attack and defense’ cards into the dolls. You know, Violet Crystal, Mystical Moon, Machine Conversion Factory. All of that stuff.

After Alice, Ria and Wilma got here, I asked everyone to gather. This was of course to introduce Lady Janina, as well as Magical Exemplar. She is now basically a living being, somewhat, and will be doing things around HomeBase, so better to include her.

“A cured dhampir? And a monarch at that? I haven’t seen one since that vampire monarch was around. And what about this lovely girl? How did she get two souls?” Lady Janina was asking as she got acquainted with Alice and Lua.

It was good to hear she was quickly getting along with both of them. I didn’t think she would cause problems, but still. I was a bit worried she would challenge them to a fight or something. … well, she still might.

“You know that having two souls can be quite an advantage.” Lady Janina said to Alice. “You can keep one in this body, and move the other into a dragon avatar, or something similar. If you learn how to move your soul that is. Would you like me to teach you?”

… did she just say something strange? Alice can do that? … and didn’t my Factory use your soul or something. I think Agunan spoke about transferring his soul there. So Alice should, in theory, be able to send half of herself into the Factory, while the other half can still use her body. I think.

By the end of our introductions, I had learned a few interesting things, mainly of course about Alice’s soul situation, and everyone got to meet Lady Janina. I know I introduced her as a divine dragon, but I’m not sure everyone believes that. She doesn’t really have the aura she has in her dragon form.

After the introductions, Lady Janina returned her avatar to the room I gave her, before returning her soul to her real body at the Dragon Coast. I told her she can return whenever she wants.

I then went to the Factory with Alice and Lua so we could watch the recordings of the day, so they could see what Lady Janina really looked like. Agunan also followed us, but he instead went to challenge Raviel, as he hasn’t had the opportunity to do that just yet. Agunan fared alright, but when Raviel began spawning tokens and eating them, Agunan no longer could keep up with the Sacred Beast.

After our viewing party, we did our evening things, and went to bed.
