Over the next few days, I prepared for something big. A big flower planting to be precise. I was asked to do so by the Goddess, and it will also allow me to spread around the dimensional barrier observers.

It had been on the backburner for a while, because of the sheer number of cards required for the entire thing. I mean, each flower needs a card, each magic stone needs a card and … well, that is actually it. But I also need all of those B or A-rank magic stones, so that was another hurdle. Sure each flower bed would only get five, but that is still a lot of stones since my goal is to plant over 50 flower beds. I also needed a dimensional barrier observer and a mana location emitter in each flower bed.

The only good news was that I didn’t have to do everything alone, as I got myself an assistant. A certain someone that was interested in moving to HomeBase during the grand reveal sent me a letter that she was ready to move in, so I picked her up. And just one day after she moved in, I took Paulina with me on a mission.

We started off in Alewatch, for obvious reasons. We planted two magic flower pots, one at the adventurers’ guild, one at the Watchman manor. The manor didn’t really need its own, but I didn’t mind adding one there.

I also got an interesting variant to my flower planting mission, where it got 1/10 and then 2/10 flower beds planted. When I reach 10, I’d get a bigger reward instead of just single cards.

After Alewatch, we headed for Sawyer city where there already was a flower bed at the Sawyer manor, but I planted a second one at the guild.

From there we headed north to the town of Bloggs. The town next to the lake where Cailie’s prison dungeon is located. A flower bed at the guild later, we again moved north to Pekkers where Wilma’s workshop was once located, and also made a flower bed there.

After those smaller towns, it was time for Burch city. There I made two flower beds, one at the adventurer’s guild and another at the Burch manor. It is good for big cities to have multiple flower beds, after all.

After Burch, we visited multiple smaller towns and cities in the northern part of Ruiso Kingdom, making flower beds at each adventurers’ guild. Thankfully the guild higher ups had sent a message to guild masters that I would be doing so, so I wasn’t getting many questions and things were getting done. By the time I decided to call it a day, we had planted a total of 17 new flower beds.

My reward for day 1 was getting multiple new Promo Trades unlocked. I got Champion Packs 1 and 2, McDonald's Promotional Pack 2, as well as Tournament Packs 6, 7 and 8.

Most of the stuff in the trades is something I could already get from the sets I’ve unlocked, but there were some new cards as well.

Satellite Cannon and the E-HEROes Mudballman and Electrum are the big ones.

We kept up the same drive the next day, and when I reached 20 total flower beds, I got a slightly different reward, but it was also in the same vein as the previous one.

I got access to the Dark Revelation Volume 3 reprint set, as well as Duelist Pack: Jaden Yuki 2 and Duelist Pack: Zane Truesdale as decks I could purchase.

And sure they are nice, but just like with yesterday’s stuff, most of this is all repeats. Well, the duelist packs did have a few new cards like Card Trooper, Burial from a Different Dimension, Light Laser, Infernal Dragon, Damage Polarizer and Fusion Guard.

But before day 2 was finished, we reached over 30 flower beds and I got the next big reward, which was a new set.

Strike of Neos unlocked.

On our third, and final, day, we planted the remaining flower beds. The total number we planted over our 3 day planting fest was 51, so I got two more big rewards and one tiny one. Let’s go over the first big one first. It was more promo trades and one new deck.

Premium Pack 1 and Champion Packs 3 and 4 were my new promo trades, while the new deck is the Duelist Pack: Aster Phoenix.

Again, most of the stuff from them is repeats, but there were some new cards as well. The most important being the one and only Kaibaman.

Spoiler

[collapse]

I mean, does it even matter what else I got access to when I have Kaibaman? I don’t think it does. I can summon Kaibaman, so I win in life.

… but I guess it is worth mentioning that for my 50 flower beds reward I also unlocked a new set, Force of the Breaker.

And for the one single flower bed that was outside of the 50, I got Aroma Jar, Aroma Garden and Aroma Gardening.

Spoiler
[collapse]

… and while it says nothing about how good the cards are, I really like the artwork on Aroma Garden and Gardening. I just think they are soothing. Maybe I should install both on floor 8 of HomeBase.

Yeah. I’ll check if I can get extra copies with Different Dimension Capsule and if I can, I’ll install one of each on the CropFields.

And now, with all the rewards gone over, it is time for me to enjoy them. Which means I’ll open some packs. I got two, technically three, new sets, so let’s open some packs. Ten each of Strike of Neos and Force of the Breaker. Maybe a few Dark Revelation Volume 3 packs after them if I feel like it.

But yeah. Starting off with Strike of Neos.

Spoiler

STON 1

Legendary Ebon Steed, Return of the Six Samurai, Emblem of the Awakening, The Six Samurai - Yaichi, Sage of Stillness, The Six Samurai - Nisashi, Kahkki, Guerilla of Dark World, The Six Samurai - Yariza, Ancient Rules

[collapse]

Oh? I didn’t realize this set had Six Samurais in it. That’s kind of cool. Sure they aren’t all that powerful in terms of attack, but they should still be masters at their given fighting style, so they’ll make for excellent instructors. Yaichi might be able to teach Unika some new bow techniques, Nisashi could teach Einar how to dual wield and Yariza might be able to help Alice with her swordstaff.

Legendary Ebon Steed is also somewhat interesting. I could probably install it into Rani, my horse, but I’m not sure if she would like it. I think she is a bit too gentle to be turned into a warhorse.

Sage of Stillness seems to have some sort of Time Magic abilities, so he might help me in that aspect, Kahkki … well, it is a Fiend. I might use it at some point, but probably not.

And Ancient Rules is just useless for me. I can already summon LV.5 and higher normal monsters freely, so I don’t need it. Unless I want to specifically special summon something, but I don’t see why that would matter.

Next pack.

Spoiler

STON 2

Electric Virus, Cu Chulainn the Awakened, Emblem of the Awakening, "A" Cell Scatter Burst, Gren, Tactician of Dark World, Lycanthrope, Anti-Fusion Device, Elemental HERO Grand Neos, Pulling the Rug

[collapse]

Well, that’s two new Ritual monsters I can summon. And Cu Chulainn should be a spear master, right?

Electric Virus might be useful if … when I make some sort of a computer system. It might help me in troubleshooting any issues. "A" Cell Scatter Burst could be useful if I actually used Alien monsters.

Gren is a tactician, so he might be helpful. Anti-Fusion Device is just useless, unless someone living in this world has figured out how to fuse together beings. … actually, would Anti-Fusion Device work on chimera monsters? They are technically multiple different monsters put together into one. I should have Laura test it out.

Pulling the Rug is just meh. But I did also get Grand Neos and that is nice. More Neos fusions are always good.

Next pack.

Spoiler

STON 3

Alien Psychic, Emblem of the Awakening, Ritual Sealing, The Six Samurai - Nisashi, Destruction Cyclone, Sage of Stillness, Flashbang, The Six Samurai - Kamon, Twister

[collapse]

Alright. So Alien Psychic isn’t terrible, but I have cards that do way more with way less setup. Ritual Sealing might seem useless on the surface, like Anti-Fusion Device, but magical rituals are a lot more common that fusions, and Ritual Sealing should be able to stop one, so it is actually alright. Destruction Cyclone is kind of cool and I might give it to someone. Flashbang is … well, it is a flashbang. It might come in handy. Kamon seems to specialize in explosives, so maybe he can make some that I can keep in Storage. And Twister is just bad. I know it is one of those ‘MST was banned so we made a worse version of it’ cards, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is bad.

Next pack.

Spoiler

STON 4

Ritual Sealing, Flashbang, Change of Hero - Reflector Ray, The Six Samurai - Nisashi, Emblem of the Awakening, Marionette Mite, Puppet Plant, The Six Samurai - Yariza, Cloak and Dagger

[collapse]

Well, Change of Hero - Reflector Ray is … a card. I suppose you could call it insurance if I do use HEROes, so it isn’t useless, just mediocre. Marionette Mite and Puppet Plant are both somewhat alright. I mean, the ability to take control of an opponent is always nice. And Cloak and Dagger is actually more useful than it may seem. I can just name someone and if they happen to get too close, they get eliminated. At least I think that is how the card works.

Next pack.

Spoiler

STON 5

The Six Samurai - Irou, Radiant Spirit, Lycanthrope, Destruction Cyclone, The Six Samurai - Kamon, Shien's Footsoldier, Silent Abyss, "A" Cell Scatter Burst, Ancient Rules

[collapse]

Irou is a swordsman and he seems to wield a … I think the long katana is called a tachi? Sadly I don’t have a samurai working for me, so he won’t have anyone to teach. Unless I ask someone like Cina to pick up a sword. She currently doesn’t have a main weapon outside of a staff, so she could learn how to use a tachi.

Radiant Spirit is in the same ballpark as Destruction Cyclone. Kind of cool, but I likely won’t use him. Silent Abyss though … What? I can show favoritism because Silent Abyss is a black snake. He looks cool.

Shien's Footsoldier is only usable as cannon fodder and that does it for this pack. Next.

Spoiler

STON 6

Sage of Stillness, Synthesis Spell, Emblem of the Awakening, Return of the Six Samurai, Advanced Ritual Art, Radiant Spirit, Electric Virus, Shien's Footsoldier, Pulling the Rug

[collapse]

Well, at least I got the Ritual Spell for Lycanthrope. And Advanced Ritual Art is also nice if I ever need to summon a Ritual monster that I don’t have the specific Ritual Spell for. The rest are repeats, so next pack.

Spoiler

STON 7

Cu Chulainn the Awakened, Raging Earth, Anti-Fusion Device, Shien's Castle of Mist, Destruction Cyclone, Umbral Soul, The Six Samurai - Yariza, The Six Samurai - Irou, Eliminating the League

[collapse]

Umbral Soul also looks nice. It might fall into the same category as Silent Abyss where I’ll use him just because I think he looks cool. Raging Earth though … well, you never know when you need a giant rock monster.

Shien's Castle of Mist is likely going to be built somewhere in the Factory and Eliminating the League is useless.

Spoiler

STON 8

Return of the Six Samurai, Gren, Tactician of Dark World, Shien's Castle of Mist, Shien's Footsoldier, The Six Samurai - Irou, Change of Hero - Reflector Ray, Synthesis Spell, Ritual Sealing, Ancient Rules

[collapse]

Well that is all repeats, so straight into the next pack.

Spoiler

STON 9

The Six Samurai - Yaichi, The Six Samurai - Nisashi, Emblem of the Awakening, Anti-Fusion Device, Legendary Ebon Steed, Flashbang, "A" Cell Scatter Burst, Lycanthrope, Hero Medal

[collapse]

Man. Hero Medal is just mediocre MST bait. Who made it?

Let’s just open the tenth and last pack of Strike of Neos. Maybe I can get an SR or UR.

Spoiler

STON 10

Puppet Plant, Return of the Six Samurai, Legendary Ebon Steed, "A" Cell Scatter Burst, Destruction Cyclone, The Six Samurai - Zanji, Umbral Soul, Ritual Sealing, Hero Medal

[collapse]

Nope. Just another mediocre medal. At least Zanji is new. And he falls into the same category as Yariza, using a swordstaff like weapon, so to Alice’s training sessions with him.

A quick tea break later, actually let’s be honest, ordering tea so that I can drink some while I open the packs, I moved onto the next set, Force of the Breaker.

Spoiler

FOTB 1

Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle, Breakthrough!, Dweller in the Depths, Crystal Raigeki, Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise, Crystal Abundance, Last Resort, Mei-Kou, Master of Barriers, Volcanic Shell

[collapse]

And for the second time, I’ll admit I didn’t remember this. I thought the Crystal Beasts were in Tactical Evolution, not Force of the Breaker. I mean ,Tactical Evolution even has Rainbow Dragon as the cover card.

As for the beasts themself, they are not all that good. They look cute, but not that good. Crystal Abundance is pretty good though. Crystal Raigeki not so much.

Breakthrough! is … situational as anything. Dweller in the Depths … is it the cave or some sort of a creature living in the cave? I don’t know, but I know it is mediocre. Last Resort can get me Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins, so at least it does something. Mei-Kou, Master of Barriers might be able to help with my Space Magic barriers. And Volcanic Shell is cool, but why is he a Rare? Shouldn’t Volcanic Shell be the most common of the commons? It is literally used as ammo for the Blaze Accelerator.

Either way, next pack.

Spoiler

FOTB 2

Crystal Beacon, Crystal Blessing, Volcanic Blaster, Gravi-Crush Dragon, Tornado, Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle, Volcanic Recharge, Mei-Kou, Master of Barriers, Volcanic Shell

[collapse]

Crystal Beacon and Blessing are both fine, if I do decide to use Crystal Beasts. And Cobalt Eagle might actually be good for scouting. Tornado is in the same boat as Twister. Why does it exist? Volcanic Blaster is basically useless, but Volcanic Recharge is actually alright, if I do play with the Blaze Accelerator. … need to get one first. And Gravi-Crush Dragon is okay. He is a big brute, so he might make for a great substitute if we want to practice fighting against large monsters.

Next pack.

Spoiler

FOTB 3

Terrible Deal, Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat, Crystal Raigeki, Crystal Promise, Tornado, Volcanic Hammerer, Dweller in the Depths, Volcanic Recharge, Volcanic Shell

[collapse]

Terrible Deal is just that, a terrible deal. Why would I use it? Amethyst Cat is a Crystal Beast, so I kind of have to like it, even if it is mediocre, and Crystal Promise is fine. And Volcanic Hammerer is fine. Not great, but fine.

But may I complain now? I know I asked why Volcanic Shell is a Rare instead of a Common, but that doesn’t give you the right to give me three Volcanic Shells in a row in my Rare slot. That is just rude. Give me a better Rare, please!

Spoiler

FOTB 4

Magna-Slash Dragon, Dweller in the Depths, Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat, Terrible Deal, Crystal Blessing, Secrets of the Gallant, Field Barrier, Hard-sellin' Zombie, Volcanic Slicer

[collapse]

Okay. At least Volcanic Slicer isn’t a Shell. Still not all that good for a Rare. Hard-sellin' Zombie is trash, as is Secrets of the Gallant. Field Barrier is actually perfectly fine, as I should be able to use it to protect HomeBase. I mean, HomeBase is basically a Field Spell, so with some minor adjustments, I can use Field Barrier for an extra layer of defense.

And Magna-Slash Dragon is a cool looking dragon, so I don’t even care if its effect isn’t all that good. Its stats are alright and it looks cool so I like it.

Next.

Spoiler

FOTB 5

Volcanic Hammerer, "A" Cell Breeding Device, Crystal Beacon, Crystal Raigeki, Secrets of the Gallant, Hard-sellin' Zombie, Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle, Hard-sellin' Goblin, Firewall

[collapse]

"A" Cell Breeding Device is another Alien card that I’ll use if I play Aliens. And Firewall is usable, but not all that amazing.

Next pack.

Spoiler

FOTB 6

Crystal Promise, Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise, Field Barrier, "A" Cell Breeding Device, Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle, Magna-Slash Dragon, Mass Hypnosis, Sky Scourge Invicil, Lucky Iron Axe

[collapse]

Mass Hypnosis is alright with "A" Cell Breeding Device, so I might use that combo. Lucky Iron Axe can be used to power up weapons Wilma makes, so it is fine. And Sky Scourge Invicil is kind of scary, but she can either negate all spells or all traps, so she is pretty good.

Next pack.

Spoiler

FOTB 7

Crystal Promise, Crystal Raigeki, Breakthrough!, Gem Flash Energy, Backs to the Wall, Introduction to Gallantry, Hard-sellin' Goblin, Last Resort, Zeradias, Herald of Heaven

[collapse]

Zeradias is fine. Just a shame for that field spell requirement, but I can probably install a copy of the field spell into him to get around that problem. Backs to the Wall is … I probably will never use it. Gem Flash Energy is fine, but I have better. Introduction to Gallantry doesn’t actually work on anyone, because who would be holding that many cards other than me.

Spoiler

FOTB 8

Crystal Beacon, Gem Flash Energy, Crystal Raigeki, Volcanic Blaster, Magna-Slash Dragon, Introduction to Gallantry, Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle, Zeradias, Herald of Heaven, Triggered Summon

[collapse]

Nice. An Ultimate Rare. Sadly Triggered Summon isn’t good. But it is an Ultimate Rare, so for collection reasons, I’ll gladly take it.

Spoiler

FOTB 9

Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise, Crystal Raigeki, Volcanic Scattershot, Gem Flash Energy, Breakthrough!, Hard-sellin' Goblin, Secrets of the Gallant, Wild Fire, Volcanic Shell

[collapse]

Okay. Now I’m just … pissed. Why is Scattershot a Common when Shell is a Rare? And why do I have 4 Shells when I only just now got my first Scattershot? This is stupid. Wild Fire is also just meh. I mean, the tokens it summons aren’t even that good.

Last pack. And I swear to god, if you give me another Volcanic Shell as my Rare, I’ll never open more packs of this set ever again. I’ll have Laura do it for me.

Spoiler

FOTB 10

Crystal Promise, Hard-sellin' Goblin, Seismic Crasher, Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat, Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise, Wild Fire, "A" Cell Breeding Device, Destroyersaurus, Sky Scourge Invicil

[collapse]

Well, Invicil is a Super Rare, even if it is a Super Rare repeat. Seismic Crasher isn’t all that good, but he has twin swords, so Einar training maybe? And Destroyersaurus is cool, so I’ll take it.

… Let’s call it a day here. I got some new stuff, some of it nice, and others not so nice. But I don’t really care, because Kaibaman is here. He makes all of the bad cards better just by being Kaibaman.

And now I also have those mana location emitters set up, so I can make a Ruiso Kingdom wide locator device. It will help those that don’t have a System Support to not get lost while flying airships or spaceships, so I can finally hand them out to everyone. Maybe I’ll even make a supersonic airship that isn’t one of my cards.
