Chapter 468: Bye Bye
What happened?! This was another surprise no one anticipated. Bai Lei dropping to his knees could only mean one thing; Lu Chen's grip was stronger than his!
"Oh no! Mr. Bai, are you ok?!" Lu Chen asked. But he continued to hold onto Bai Lei's hand, adding more force into the grip!
"Grr." Bai Lei's face contorted even more. I put all my strength into it. He was using all his strength to get out of Lu Chen's hand. But Lu Chen wasn't budging at all!
"I'm ok. I slipped, that's all." Bai Lei slowly got up from the ground. But instantly went back down! Gahh! An intense pain came from his hand!
Bai Lei looked at Lu Chen, and the latter smiled at him!
Bai Lei's face darkened, "Can you let go."
"Oh." Lu Chen let go of his hand, "Where are my manners." With that, Bai Lei got up from the ground.
"Xiaoqing, I'm going back to help with the plan." Bai Lei quickly walked away from there. There was no need to stay here anymore. Not unless he wanted to be humiliated.
With his leaving, Bai Lei didn't take Liao Yan with him. The latter stood there in shock.
Lu Chen asked, "Ahh, have you fixed your face?" Lu Chen noticed that Liao Yan had new bandages around his face. He cracked his knuckles, and Liao Yan shivered.
Is he going to break my face in?! Those cracking noises were like warning shots being fired. Liao Yan didn't think as he quickly ran away from the venue!
"Bye Bye! Be careful to wrap it up, or blood will keep spurting!" Lu Chen said as he waved his hand. He didn't even seem fazed at how people looked at him.
"Pff Haha!" Bai Xiaoqing laughed out loud as she saw how Lu Chen acted.
Song Yanmei quipped, "You know you guys are family, right?" Lu Chen humiliated Bai Lei in front of Bai Xiaoqing.
Bai Xiaoqing shook her head,
"Just because we're family: this doesn't mean we are close." Bai Xiaoqing's father and Bai Lei were brothers. However, that didn't mean they were close. They went on two different paths. And there were other things to worry about,
"Lu Chen, sorry about what my family member did."
Lu Chen shook his hand, "It's fine. It wasn't your fault. This is Liao Yan's doing." The source of the problem was Liao Yan.
"And there is no way he will let this end with just this." Liao Yan wouldn't stop until Lu Chen got what he deserved.
"I will go deal with him." Bai Xiaoqing knew this too. What he did was like an annoying pest. He went back on her words too.
Lu Chen shook his head,
"Don't do it. If you try to stop Liao Yan, he will find a different way to mess with Yanmei and me." Bai Xiaoqing may stop Liao Yan right now. But what about later? She did the same a few minutes ago, and look at what he was doing now.
"I see." Bai Xiaoqing sighed. A frown formed on her face.
"Hey. Don't make such a frown. And besides, since Mr. Bai has time to come out here, does that mean your grandfather will be coming out?" Lu Chen asked.
Bai Xiaoqing nodded,
