Chapter 512: Do You Want To Join
"You praise me too much." Lu Chen said calmly. However, Gao Shun explained,
"This isn't praise. No one in Han Meng's age group can deal with him. They would be defeated in a couple of minutes." Gao Shun calmly explained.
"But I'm curious; why were you able to change from the beginning." Gao Shun wondered how Lu Chen did it. Going from sandbag to fighter was surprising, to say the least.
Lu Chen explained, "It's because I wasn't used to it."
"You weren't used to it?"
"Mmhmm." Lu Chen nodded and explained, "I've been fighting against people for quite some time now. But I've never fought someone of brother Han Meng's caliber."
Bai Lei was the strongest person he fought. And that was Lu Chen not taking it seriously as he dealt with him.
The levels between Bai Lei and Han Meng were vastly different.
"I needed time to adjust to Han Meng's speed and strength." It was a simple principle. If you fought with someone of a lower level constantly, your skills would be dull.
That was why he needed time to adjust.
"I see." Gao Shun laughed.
"..." I don't like where this is going. Lu Wencheng had a dark expression.
"I've seen enough. Lu Chen, do you want to join my group?"'
"Group?" Lu Chen tilted his head.
"Oh no! You are not dragging my grandson into that kind of mess!" Lu Wencheng screamed out in anger. So that's your game!
Gao Shun nodded, "Our group is composed of the strongest soldiers. Even hearing our name is enough to make people fear and respect us."
"And you guys do the most dangerous missions as well." Lu Wencheng stated.

Han Meng nodded, "Master, that was one of the best spars I've had. It's the first time I've found an equal." There were a handful of people that could fight with him equally. But all of them were either in their 30s to 40s!
But never from some that were close to his age. And younger too! What Gao Shun said before was on the mark. Han Meng would beat all of them up in a couple of moves or a couple of minutes.
No one could handle him.
"Wencheng has a strong grandchild." Gao Shun said.
Han Meng nodded but added, "Master, you have to get him to join."
Gao Shun sighed, "Didn't you hear what he said? He has no intention of joining."
Lu Chen's decision was not to join.
"Sorry, but I have no intention of joining any group. I'm the CEO of my company, and I have to focus on it." That was his reasoning.
Gao Shun didn't say anymore. If the kid didn't want to join, he wouldn't force it.
"But I think Lu Chen would be a great fit. I think second and third brothers will like him too." Han Meng added.
