Chapter 548: Arriving At The Gym
"What?! That brat was the one who caused all of this?!" Bai Liu frowned when she heard that. What happened at the party was in her mind. Her son was disrespected, and his brother was humiliated in the process too.
What Lu Chen did to her specifically was slap her face twice in a role!
"Tch! That bastard is strong, dad." Liao Yan cursed as he said, "He took out 8 guys."
Smack. Liao Jin smacked him again.
"Do you think 8 thugs are capable of taking him out?!" How pigheaded could you be? Lu Chen was able to take out Bai Lei without any hassle at all! So how could thugs be able to take care of him?! It was the dumbest idea yet!
"We need to ask your brother to deal with him." Liao Jin said.
Bai Liu frowned, "Bai Lei won't help us. He's been demoted from his rank and is facing ridicule in every way." Bai Lei wasn't going to help much. Lu Chen would beat him up again if they were to fight again.
"Do you think I'm a fool?! I'm telling him to get a couple of his friends to attack him together!" Of course, he knew the result if Bai Lei fought alone. But it would be a different matter if Bai Lei and a couple of his friends fought alongside him!
Getting back on Lu Chen was something Bai Lei desired. He would definitely help out.
Hearing that, Bai Liu nodded, "Alright. I'll go get my brother!"

"So this is the place?" Lu Chen looked at the gym where he was supposed to meet with Han Meng. Is this really the place? Lu Chen found it weird.
He had to take a lot of twists and turns to get here.

Lu Chen texted Han Meng, telling him that he was there. And someone walked out, "Hello, you're the person brother Han has been talking about?"
"Mmhmm." Lu Chen nodded as he followed the guy into the gym. And when he did, he noticed the difference. The store may look janky from the front, but all the equipment inside was new and clean.
Why is everyone staring at me? As he walked, some people looked in his direction.
But he didn't look as he was brought to the back of the gym. There was a giant boxing ring. And Han Meng was the one inside it. He was facing another opponent.
"What are you doing?! What is this shit defense!" Han Meng was punching the daylights out of someone. He was cursing at him too.
It was a beat down from the get-go.
This isn't going to be good? Lu Chen could tell that the guy was almost out. But it seemed Han Meng had a cool head as he stopped before he knocked him out.
"Go take a breather."
"Understood!" The guy said with a ragged scream. He even had to have people carry him out of there!
Han Meng turned to Lu Chen, "Yo! You took your sweet time coming here!"
"If someone didn't come to welcome me, I wouldn't have come here." Lu Chen said with a laugh.
"I've already warmed up. Ready for a fight?!" Han Meng cracked his knuckles.
Lu Chen shook his head, "I would love to fight with you. But it seems there are other people who want to deal with me first."
