Chapter 560: All Defeated
Lu Chen was calling Lu Xiaotong. It took a while before his call got through but,
"Sorry about it, Xiao Chen. I finished up a meeting." Lu Xiaotong's voice was calm as he said this.
"Dad, you and big brother are fine, right? Nothing out of the ordinary happened?" Lu Chen asked calmly, trying not his best to alert him.
"Mmhmm. Aotian is with me. And we're fine? Did something happen?" Lu Xiaotong asked back. It was unusual that his son would call him to ask about his health.
"It's nothing. Today, older brother has been using the bathroom for a long time, so I thought he had a stomach ache. I've brought him some medicine too." Lu Chen made an excuse.
"Ahh, I'll make sure I'll tell him about the medicine. See you at home." Lu Xiaotong said as he closed the call. He looked down at Bai Lei,
"So what's this about them being captured?" He found it off. There was no way in hell Wu Zhen would let anything happen to his brother and father.
"That's impossible! How could they be unharmed?!" Bai Lei was in disbelief. They sent a couple of assassins to capture them. So how could they be walking about?!
"Still don't believe it? Here's another. Oh, speak of the devil." Lu Chen was going to call Lu Hao next. But he didn't need to because Huo Dong called him instead.
"Huo Dong."
"Third young master, I have dealt with the pest that came after the second young master. You do not need to worry about him." When Lu Chen called Lu Xiaotong, Wu Zhen gave him the heads up that Lu Chen might call him too.
"That's good. And there are no problems on your end with Lu Hao, right?"
"Mmhmm. The second young master didn't realize it." Huo Dong said calmly. He had been watching Lu Hao from afar and noticed a few people following him for quite some time. And he quickly went into action, dealing with them.
"I see. Also, did Elder Wu go with my mom today?" Lu Chen remembered Zhang Wenling saying that she was going out shopping today.
"No. Elder Wu didn't go with your mother. Kang Shuchun was the one who went with her."
"..." There was a moment of silence.
"...Yeah." And Huo Dong understood too.
"Alright, continue to look after him." Lu Chen said as he closed the call.
"...And that takes care of that?"
"What was with that moment of silence?! Like you died?!" Han Meng retorted. He saw that look Lu Chen had a few seconds ago; it was messed up.
"...If you knew, you would make the same face." Lu Chen said calmly. He did not need to call the third number. There was no need to know who was with Zhang Wenling.
"I feel like I'm missing something." Ignoring what he said, Lu Chen turned back to Bai Lei,
"So what's this about you attacking my family again?" He and his brothers each had a protector. There was no way they would be beaten by someone as low-level as the people he sent.
"They were all defeated?" Bai Lei couldn't believe it. The assassins that were sent over were defeated?
Han Meng and Zi Han shook their heads at how much of a fool he was.
"So what do we do about him?" Now that everything was clear, Lu Chen wondered what he should do about him. Bai Lei interjected,
"Little brother, let me deal with him."

"So what's this about them being captured?" He found it off. There was no way in hell Wu Zhen would let anything happen to his brother and father.

"What was with that moment of silence?! Like you died?!" Han Meng retorted. He saw that look Lu Chen had a few seconds ago; it was messed up.
"...If you knew, you would make the same face." Lu Chen said calmly. He did not need to call the third number. There was no need to know who was with Zhang Wenling.

"So what do we do about him?" Now that everything was clear, Lu Chen wondered what he should do about him. Bai Lei interjected,
"Little brother, let me deal with him."
