Chapter 563: Prepare For Battle
"You missed that one because you used him to slam another out, remember?" Lu Chen had used that one's head as a battering ram and slammed him into another guy's head. The guy who smashed into the wall was dead, but the other was alive.
"And you let him live?" Zi Han asked. Han Meng shrugged his shoulders,
"He's just a grunt, so who cares if he lives or dies?" Han Meng could kill him anytime he wanted. Thankfully I didn't. He sighed in relief as he looked at the assassin,
"Even if you're a lowly grunt, you should know where your hideout is, right?"
"Mmhmm! I know! I know of the place we're staying at right now! They ordered us to bring you there!" The assassin didn't hide the information. He wasn't Bai Lei; he wanted to live.
Hearing his words, Lu Chen stared at him.
"Where is your hideout?"
"It's in an abandoned factory! We were ordered to bring everyone back there! It should be on Boss Lethal Snake's phone!" The assassin explained. Lu Chen nodded his head and questioned,
"Who is the one leading this operation?" Lu Chen knew Bai Lei and the Liao family were the ones who hired these assassins. But that didn't mean they were in charge of them. The one who controlled them was a whole different matter entirely.
But,
"I don't know." The assassin shook his head. Lu Chen frowned. He picked up the katana from the ground,
"I think you need to have a talk with this blade."

Gangster. That was what Lu Chen looked like right now. The assassin quickly explained, "I really don't know! The only boss I've followed is Lethal Snake!"

Lu Chen turned to Zi Han, "You know?"
Zi Han groaned and nodded, "Yes. The boss of this operation is Greed Viper. Lethal Snake likes to be alone for the most part. But he has always been under Greed Viper."
"I see." Lu Chen looked at the assassin and,
Boom! Lu Chen smacked the assassin with the back end of the katana! And Lu Chen walked up to Bai Lei and slapped him on the back of the head,
"What was that for?!" Zi Han said.
"Don't need these two anymore."
"And Bai Lei?"
"Wanted to make sure."

Lu Chen walked over to Lethal Snake's corpse and took out his phone. He didn't unlock his phone, and he got the location. As he was about to leave, Han Meng grabbed his hand,
"Hold it. Are you really going to run into that factory like a madman?"
"..." Lu Chen stayed silent. But silence meant yes.
"You can't do that. If those guys captured your friend, he's a hostage." A hostage made this situation a whole different matter.
"And this guy is an experienced assassin. That guy will definitely kill Shang Mingtao if you charge in like a madman." The hostage will always be the one used first as a meatshield.
"..." Lu Chen continued to stay silent.
"Therefore, we got to prepare for battle." Han Meng smiled evilly. He looked at Zi Han, "You got gear at the gym, right?"
"Of course I do. Who do you think I am?" Zi Han said as he knew what was about to go down, "Alright, come with me. Also, drag Lethal Snake's corpse and the other two."
"What about the corpses here?" Lu Chen said. There were still mounds of corpses behind them.
"I will have my men deal with this." Zi Han said. Lu Chen grabbed Lethal Snake's corpse while Han Meng held Bai Lei and the other assassin. The two followed Zi Han.
