Chapter 579: Awkward silence
"How can nothing be wrong? You look like a panda!" Lu Chen said as he held onto Feng Meifeng's face. It seemed there was redness on her face too. Did she cry? Lu Chen wondered what would have caused her face to be this haggard.
But Feng Meifeng smacked his hand away.
"!" Lu Chen's eyes widened, surprised by her movements. It was a slap like they were strangers. It seemed Feng Meifeng realized what she did too.
There was a moment of awkward silence between the two of them. But Qin Shan coughed, stopping them,
"I know you guys want to continue to act like a couple, but can we do that after we get to the campus?" Qin Shan said calmly.
Feng Meifeng nodded, and Lu Chen scratched his face, "Let me pick up your stuff," Lu Chen started to pack their suitcases into the trunk of the car,
"Hey! Why didn't you tell me you have such a hottie as your boyfriend?!" Qin Shan was surprised by how handsome Lu Chen was. This was the first time they had seen someone as handsome as him.
"He's not my boyfriend!" Feng Meifeng said with a huff. But Qin Shan retorted,
"Huh? How is he not your boyfriend? He's not only here to help you with your luggage, but he's dressed up too." Qin Shan eyed Lu Chen up and down. He noticed what he wore. It didn't look like he was just a friend.
"He is."
"Where can I find a friend like that?!" Qin Shan mischievously said. She heard a lot about Lu Chen from Feng Meifeng. Qin Shan didn't know the name. But she could guess what Lu Chen looked like based on all the descriptions the girl gave her.
"..." Feng Meifeng had no words to say. But Qin Shan joked, "You shouldn't be so angry with a guy like that. If you keep this up, he might run away from you."
Before Feng Meifeng could say something, Lu Chen turned to them, "I've finished packing. Let's go."
"Alright! Let's go!" Qin Shan screamed as she pushed Feng Meifeng into the car.
Throughout the ride,
"Hey, Lu Chen, can you tell me how Xiao Feng was at school?" Qin Shan said curiously.
"Hmm?" Lu Chen thought about it as he explained, "Meifeng was the class monitor of our class. She was always studious and would do everything perfectly."
"I'm not talking about that." Qin Shan rolled her eyes, "Of course, I know about this. I'm talking about the men!"
"The men?"
"Our Meifeng has been the belle since elementary school! Almost everyone confessed to her. It has gotten to triple digits after the first year of middle school.
"Qin Shan!" Feng Meifeng wondered what was wrong with her friend.
"Meifeng wasn't that popular with the guys."
"Hah, why not?!"
"Let me finish. Meifeng didn't have so many people going after her, but the ones who were crazy."
"And are you one of these crazy people?" Qin Shan asked with a mischievous smile.
"I'm the exception. I was the bad boy of the classroom." Lu Chen said. And this was true.
"I was the one who always got on Meifeng's nerves. But she would always be there to help me out too." Lu Chen explained.
"Bad boy? You looked nothing like it at all!" Qin Shan quipped. He looked more like the model student than the other. Feng Meifeng quipped,
"He looked really different. trust me." Feng Meifeng explained. The three kept talking till they arrived in front of the university.
