Chapter 581: This Would Never Happen
"I'm worried." Bai Liu said as she paced back and forth in the living room of the Liao mansion. Her expression was dark and tense. Liao Jin had a newspaper in hand and calmly said,
"Would you stop acting like this?"
Bai Liu glared, "How can you not worry about your flesh and blood?!"
"This isn't the first time the brat went missing." Liao Jin said as he rolled his eyes.
One week. That was how long Liao Yan was missing. But Liao Jin wasn't worried at all compared to Bai Liu. As he said, this was not the first time Liao Yan went missing for days.
And he knew what he was doing. He's obviously attending those parties. Liao Jin knew how Liao Yan operated. He smelled a large amount of musk when he walked in.
"But this isn't any normal day!" Bai Liu retorted. What they did was beyond ordinary. They hired assassins to take out a couple of people!
"And what about Greed Viper?! Do we have to wait this long?" It wasn't only Liao Yan who was missing for one week. Greed Viper was the same too. They hadn't notified them about it.
"Be quiet. Do you want everyone to know?" Liao Jin quickly shut his wife, trying to keep this as tight-lipped as possible. He explained, "I've given them a 1-month timeframe to deal with the Lu and Shang family."
That was the deadline for his family. He knew after that 1 month, his company would be destroyed.
"But he should at least give updates." Greed Viper hadn't given them any reports at all! It was too strange. The only thought that came to mind was that he may have taken the money and run with it.
"He's an assassin. He has his own way of doing things." Liao Jin said calmly. But then he asked,
"What about your brother? Have you heard from him?" Bai Lei was the same as the two. There was no response from him either.
Bai Liu shook her head, "I haven't heard from him since his text message." The last message they got from him was that he and Lethal Snake were close to Lu Chen.
"Your brother should be alright. He is still a member of the Bai family. So he could use the family's name." Even if Bai Lei did something stupid, he would be let go if he used the Bai family name.
"But do you think that brat actually did something?" Bai Liu felt something was amiss. All three of them weren't responding at the same time. This could only be tied back to one person; Lu Chen.
"How could that brat take out brother Viper? You give that brat too much credit." Liao Jin said.
"Maybe you're right." Bai Liu said with a sigh.
Liao Jin consoled her, "You don't have to worry about anything. Just wait for one month." He knew that in one month, Lu Chen and the rest of his family would be captured.

But little did they know that this would never happen.
