Chapter 597: Young Master Is Dense
"Hold it." Lu Chen could see Kang Shuchun wanting to do something else,
"Umm." Kang Shuchun pouted.
"Someone is calling me." Lu Chen sighed as he looked down at his phone. Lu Chen looked to see it was Song Yanmei who was calling him.
"Yanmei, what's the matter?" Lu Chen asked with a calm voice.
"Lu Chen, has anything happened to you these last few days?" Song Yanmei asked with a concerned tone.
"Hmm? What do you mean?"
"Did Liao Yan do anything to you?" Song Yanmei asked. Bai Xiaoqing didn't mention anything about Liao Yan being involved. But she knew off of gut instincts.
Liao Yan had to be a part of this.
"Yeah, he did do something to me." Lu Chen wasn't going to hide it.
"I knew it! That damn bastard!" Anyone could hear the hatred in Song Yanmei's voice as she cursed. But that soon turned into worry,
"Are you ok?! Were you injured?"
"It's nothing. You don't have to worry about me." Lu Chen smiled, "Also, how do you know Liao Yan tried to mess with me?" He didn't think she would know Liao Yan was messing with him.
"That's because Bai Xiaoqing called me. She asked me where ARCS was located."
"Huh? She asked you that?" Lu Chen frowned.
"Thank you for telling me this. You don't have to worry about anything." Lu Chen closed the call. So they were asking about him.
Kang Shuchun asked worriedly,
"Young master, are you ok?"
"..." But Lu Chen didn't respond. He was more focused on what Song Yanmei said. Do they know I have Liao Yan?
That could be the only reason why they called him. But Lu Chen grabbed his chin, wondering what Bai Geming and the rest were planning next.
"Young master." Kang Shuchun was really worried now.
Lu Chen snapped out of it and looked at Kang Shuchun, "Sorry about that. Zoned out." He was focused to the point that he forgot about Kang Shuchun sitting on his lap.
"Young master, do you need me to deal with them?" Kang Shuchun gave a dark look as she said this. The Bai family? She didn't care who they were; if they caused trouble for Lu Chen, she would deal with them!
Lu Chen quickly shook, "No, you don't need to deal with them!" Lu Chen knew Kang Shuchun would definitely do it! And there was no way this could happen!
It would cause problems of a different magnitude!
"But-"
"You don't have to do anything about it. I can handle it." Lu Chen assured her again. But once he said this,
"Who is this Song Yanmei?" A bright smile formed on her face as Kang Shuchun asked this question.
"She's a friend."
"A friend?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
Kang Shuchun's expression turned into questioning, "So Song Yanmei is a friend that calls the young master and asks and worries about him like no tomorrow?" Kang Shuchun said with the evilest smile ever.
That didn't seem like an ordinary friend.
"Yeah. I guess." Lu Chen said with a straight face.
"..." Kang Shuchun paused and sighed. She flicked him in the forehead, "Young master is dense as a brick."
