Chapter 617: Not Letting Them Leave
"Is Mr.Bai Geming here?" The people who came to the door were dressed in suits. Fu Bolin noticed the truck in the background and nodded,
"Let me get him." Fu Bolin walked back in, and Bai Geming returned to see them.
"Are you the people who were sent?"
The workers nodded their heads.
"Then bring him in." Bai Geming said, and the workers nodded. Two other people came out of the truck. And in their hands was Liao Yan. They brought him to the living room.
"Liao Yan!" Bai Liu screamed as she rushed towards Liao Yan, hugging her son. She started to cry. She looked at her son and saw how lifeless he was. He was thin compared to the time he was at home. But what made it worse was how he was bruised. His arm was bandaged, and his head had one too.
"What happened to you?!" If Lu Chen was here, he would be surprised too. He wasn't the one who did this. One of the workers said, "Yeah, that was his fault."
"His fault? What did he do?" Bai Geming questioned.
"When we were going to bring him here, the kid ran out of the building. And he ran into the woods too." The workers sighed. That was a mistake on their part. They didn't think Liao Yan was a runner.
When they opened the door, Liao Yan made a run for it. He ran through the forest. But Liao Yan was weak. After a few minutes, he tripped and rolled around.
"I see."
Quite vicious. Bai Geming thought as he stared at Liao Yan. Even if Liao Yan was injured due to himself, what about the rest?
He didn't think Lu Chen would be this cold. But he couldn't blame the kid either. He would have done this to them as well...maybe even worse.
"We are done now." Since they brought Liao Yan here, there was nothing else they needed to do.
"Alright, thank you." Bai Geming said. But as he thought this was it,
"Hold it! How dare you do this to my son?! Do you think you can walk away from here?!" Bai Liu glared at them. She was worried about her son. But there was no way she could forget about these people.
"We've only come here to hand your son back. We have no part in what happened to him." The workers were calm as they said this. They were hired by Zi Han to hand Liao Yan back. They had no part in what Lu Chen did.
"And you people know who did this!" Bai Liu wasn't a fool. If they brought Liao Yan back, someone ordered them to do it. And this person had to be the one who kidnapped him.
"Bolin! Do something about them! Interrogate them!" There was no way she could let them leave.
Hearing this, the workers frowned. They had weapons on them, ready if things became a mess. Zi Han was right. Zi Han warned them there could be trouble too. They had to be prepared for everything.
"That's enough!" Bai Geming screamed, causing everyone to shut up. He turned to the workers, "I'm sorry about what my daughter said. You may leave."
