Chapter 648: No Work Today
"It's fine." Elder Wu understood what Wu Zhen meant too. He explained, "The young master isn't feeling well right now." The young master's mind is chaotic. When Lu Chen came back home yesterday, Elder Wu noticed the confused expression on his face.
The other time he made such an expression was when he returned from the trip.
Did something happen at the company? Before Lu Chen went to his room, he asked him to find information about a girl. Did a business deal fall through?
But even if it did, the young master doesn't seem to be the type to mull on it. Elder Wu thought.
"The best thing we can do now is to let the young master calm down."
"And that's why you told Kang Shuchun to go to him?" Huo Dong questioned.

But Wu Zhen and Huo Dong gave a strange look. Isn't that asking for the opposite to occur?

Lu Chen took a shower. And as Elder Wu said, his mind was clouded. Why did she reject my offer? Kong Qingzhu's action was weird. From how she talked about acting at first, Lu Chen thought she would jump at the chance.
But it was weird that she rejected his offer. That was why he asked Elder Wu to do a background check on her. As he got out of the shower room,
"Young master!" Kang Shuchun entered the room!
"Shuchun! What's wrong?" "..." Lu Chen asked, but Kang Shuchun stared at Lu Chen silently.

"Shuchun! Your nose is bleeding!" Lu Chen's eyes widened at the bloodied nose Kang Shuchun had.
I've gone to heaven. Kang Shuchun fainted on the spot!

Kang Shuchun's eyes started to blink as she woke up. She looked around to see Lu Chen sitting at his table.
"You're up." Lu Chen smiled.
"Young master, how long was I out for?"
"A few minutes." Lu Chen laughed, "Did you really faint from seeing my body?"
Kang Shuchun blushed, "But the young master's body is so hot."
"But you've seen my body multiple times." And then some too.
"..." Kang Shuchun's face turned redder.
"Stay here for today. I'm going to work." Lu Chen kissed her forehead. But Kang Shuchun blinked her eyes,
"Young master, you don't need to go to work."
Lu Chen was surprised, "What do you mean?"
"Before entering, I called Duan Huiling and told her you were sick. And she let us have a day off." Kang Shuchun explained.
"What are you talking about? I can-" Lu Chen was going to leave. But Kang Shuchun did a somersault and stood in front of him!
"Young master, you're not going anywhere today." Before Lu Chen could respond, she pushed him into his bed! Kang Shuchun was on top of Lu Chen and shook her finger back and forth,
"You're not allowed to work today."
Lu Chen stared at Kang Shuchun and sighed, "Alright, you win. But you can't expect me to do nothing."
"That's why I'm here."
"..." Are we going to do that? Lu Chen wasn't feeling it. But Kang Shuchun explained,
"Young master, lay your head here." Kang Shuchun got off of Lu Chen and patted her thighs. Lu Chen looked at her weirdly and said,
"I'm not a kid."
"Come here." Kang Shuchun continued to pat. Lu Chen sighed and laid his head in her lap.
Kang Shuchun started to stroke his head gently, "Young master changed so much over these years."
"I did." Lu Chen knew he had changed a lot. Kang Shuchun smiled,
"But there are still some things the young master hasn't changed."
