Chapter 650: Kong Qingzhu’s Dilemma
"Nnnh!" Lu Chen stretched his hand. That really did the trick. He didn't take a nap. It was an entire 10 hours!
The sky was already dark. And when Lu Chen saw that, he apologized to Kang Shuchun. But the grin on her face said something entirely different!
"There's no need to apologize, young master. It was the best!" Kang Shuchun said as she left his room.
It was only when he walked into the bathroom and saw the lipstick marks all over his face. Well, he had to take another shower.
"Elder Wu, do you get the information?" Lu Chen asked, and Elder Wu nodded,
"Mmhmm." He handed the information to Lu Chen. And Lu Chen looked through it. And as he did that, his eyes widened. He looked up at Elder Wu,
"Are you sure this is correct?" He needed to make sure.
"Mmhmm. All this information is correct, young master." Elder Wu nodded.
"We need to go there now." Lu Chen didn't wait as he got up from his seat. Elder was ready to go for him too. But Lu Chen paused and added,
"Wait, I'll go there now. Can you prepare the other things for me?"
"Understood, young master." Elder Wu nodded.

"Thank you for your work, Qingzhu!" Kong Qingzhu's coworker said.
"See you tomorrow." Kong Qingzhu waved back and left her work. She looked down at the money in her hand. She split up the money. I'll have to live off 200 yuan this week.
There was a frown on her face as she placed the money into her pockets. As Kong Qingzhu returned to her dormitory, she looked down at her phone.
Hmm? Mr.Lu is calling me again. Picking up his call,
"Kong Qingzhu, where are you right now?"
"I finished with my work." Kong Qingzhu explained. Why does he sound so distressed? His voice sounded so different.
"Please tell me where you are? I need to speak with you."
"Umm, sure." Kong Qingzhu told Lu Chen her location. It didn't take long for Lu Chen to arrive.
"What do you need from me, Mr.Lu?" Kong Qingzhu thought she wouldn't meet with Lu Chen after rejecting his offer.
Lu Chen got to the chase, "Why didn't you tell me you have a 20 million yuan debt?"
"!" Kong Qingzhu's expression was shocked when she heard that. Never did she expect Lu Chen to find this out. Lu Chen sighed as he asked,
"Is this why you didn't want to join my company?"
"Mmhmm." Kong Qingzhu nodded her head weakly.
"But this doesn't make any sense. Your father was the one who picked up the debt. So why do you have it?" Lu Chen frowned.
When Lu Chen saw the debt Kong Qingzhu had picked up, he was shocked. He looked further in on how she had this debt; it came from her father. Kong Qingzhu's father was a gambling addict who gambled everything away.
But it didn't make sense that Kong Qingzhu was the one who had to repay it.
"My dad died a week ago."
"!"
"My father was the one who picked up the debt. But because he died, the debt went to my mother. But I had to write it instead."
"Why?"
"Because she became an addict too."
"!" Lu Chen's eyes widened. This all makes sense now. The future, that is. Lu Chen understood why the future Kong Qingzhu made all her decisions.
The company Kong Qingzhu joined was horrible. Everyone knew that. And yet, she continued to be there for 10 years.
Kong Qingzhu didn't want to change companies; it was that she couldn't.
