Chapter 684: You’re From That Time
Lu Chen came out of the office and tugged on the ends of his suit. He looked at the three, "Sorry about that. There was a situation."
"..." Can you really say that? Kong Qingzhu wanted to retort to that. She heard everything that had happened inside.
"You guys can enter." Lu Chen smiled as he welcomed the three in. When they entered, Zhang Jian and Gong Changming sat on the sofa. But something was off about Zhang Jian. He was out of sorts.
Gong Changming was laughing at him. Zhang Jian glared daggers at him.
"Qingzhu, this here is the producer of Chu Jingyi and Zhang Jian's songs."
"Hello."
"Hi, I'm Gong Changming." Ignoring Zhang Jian, Gong Changming greeted Kong Qingzhu. He asked Lu Chen, "CEO, Will I be helping her with songs as well?" Lu Chen already brought two gems for him to work with.
What's the third gem going to bring?
Lu Chen shook his head, "No, she won't need any songs. She's going to be a trainee for our acting division."
"We have an acting division?" Zhang Jian questioned.
"When was this?"
Everyone looked at Lu Chen, confused about what he said. This was a new thing.
"I have been thinking about it for a long time. But I haven't said it officially. So now." He forgot to tell them about it. Lu Chen said without a thought.
"..." The others didn't know what to say. It was so abrupt that they couldn't respond.
"Relax, you guys don't need to give me those looks. Besides, when have I ever let you guys down?" Lu Chen cooly smiled.
"...You haven't." Lu Chen's track record spoke for itself. When Lu Chen does something, he always makes it work. But they still felt something wrong with this.
He shouldn't drop a shock like this on them. It was too much for their heart.
"Anyways, I would like to introduce you to our newest recruit, Kong Qingzhu." Lu Chen introduced Kong Qingzhu again.
"Hello, I'm glad about working with you all!" Kong Qingzhu bowed her head. Zhang Jian tilted his head,
"Wait, have we met before?" Zhang Jian frowned as he scratched his chin. He swore he met this girl before. But he didn't need to think about it, as Lu Chen revealed,
"Remember the time at the cafe?" That clicked with Zhang Jian,
"Ahh! You're the girl boss Lu saved!" Now he remembered. Kang Shuchun and Duan Huiling tilted their heads,
"Saved? What happened?" This was the first time they heard about it. Zhang Jian explained,
"Yeah. When Lu Chen and I went to scout Gong Changming, one of Kong Qingzhu's friends hit on us. And there was one guy picking on Kong Qingzhu, and Lu Chen beat the snot out of him."
"That's what happened." "It sounds so fake." Duan Huiling nodded her head while Gong Changming retorted.
"I didn't do that. I just used my family name." Lu Chen shook his head. Zhang Jian rolled his eyes,
"So you were talking about Kong Qingzhu when we ate?" Zhang Jian questioned. He remembered what the two discussed.
"You know me so well." Lu Chen smiled. He clapped his hands together, "Alright, Kong Qingzhu would be in the acting division. Even though you guys would be in a different division, help her out."
"Gotcha." Gong Changming nodded. Zhang Jian smiled and pumped his chest, "You don't have to worry about anything. Junior Kong, if you need any help, ask away!"
