Chapter 689: It Was Lacking
Lu Chen left his room and walked down to see what was happening. He saw Lu Xiaotong and Zhang Wenling standing in the lobby. There was another man too. Lu Chen sighed. Should have expected him to come here.
Lu Xiaotong sighed, "Jiang Feng, I told you before I wasn't going into your product any longer." Like Lu Chen, Lu Xiaotong expected this would happen too. When Lu Xiaotong withdrew from the contract, Jiang Feng called, asking for a reason. Sooner or later, he was going to come to their home.
"You told me you were in, and it was a great idea! Do you understand that my other sponsor is pulling out because of you?!" Jiang Feng couldn't accept it.
"That is not my problem. I have already paid for voiding the contract." Lu Xiaotong calmly stated. He chose to end it and was willing to pay the price too. The investment with the Bai family covered all the damage, and then some. There was no need to worry.
"What do you mean this is not your problem?!" Jiang Feng roared, "Do you understand you gave me your word?! How could you go back on it?!" Lu Xiaotong snorted,
"I did. However, that was before I signed the contract. And I paid for breaking the contract too." Lu Xiaotong wasn't going to back down.
"We've been friends for so long! How could you go back on it without a thought!" Jiang Feng couldn't let this slip. But Lu Chen laughed,
"Father, save it." Hearing all of this, Lu Chen came downstairs. He stared at Jiang Feng.
"I was the one who did it. The person you have a problem with is me." Lu Chen didn't hold back as he watched Jiang Feng annoy him.
"What? You're the one who broke our contract?" Jiang Feng stared at Lu Chen. But then he turned to Lu Xiaotong, "Lu Xiaotong, are you trying to mess with me?"
Lu Chen was the one who breached the contract? Who were they trying to kid? How could a kid do something like that?!
Lu Xiaotong continued to have a calm expression, while Zhang Wenling turned dark. Lu Chen sighed,
"I don't care if you believe me or not. Frankly, the proposition you brought to my father was lacking."
"Lacking?" Jiang Feng laughed. But he couldn't hide his anger as he asked, "Tell me, how is my product lacking?"
Alright. Lu Chen questioned, "Let me ask you, how are you going to deal with the competitors?"
"What about the competitors? Our product is priced lower than theirs. We also have a stronger reputation." Jiang Feng said with confidence.
"Heh." Lu Chen scoffed, "Do you understand what you're saying is trash? Everything you said is based on your reputation alone."
"Our Jiang family's reputation is enough to help."
Lu Chen rolled his eyes, "If you're so famous, then why are you so focused on having the Lu family for help."
