Chapter 710: It’s Official
"Thank you for meeting with me today." Lu Chen said with a calm expression as he stared at Song Yanmei. The two of them were now at a cafe.
"No need." Song Yanmei answered.
"..." Lu Chen didn't know what to say.
"But it was pretty rude of you to leave me alone with your secretary. Do you see me as lower than you?" Song Yanmei continued to have a smile on her face as she stared at Lu Chen. Lu Chen gulped. She was taking shots at him.
Lu Chen coughed, "I never meant it like that. I'm sorry about that. I didn't realize the date of our meeting matched my other schedule." Lu Chen realized it too late. He called Song Yanmei to have a meeting to discuss using a stadium again. He thought it was alright. Song Yanmei was an upright and kind person.
But Lu Chen thought wrong.
"Did you really forget? Or were you having fun with Bai Xiaoqing?" Song Yanmei questioned with an evil smirk. Lu Chen's hand twitched. She was totally pissed.
Lu Chen sighed, "This is not my fault. I had to do it because of the old man." This was all because of Elder Bai! He was the one who threw him into this mess. He expected Lu Aotian or Lu Hao to do it. And he was definitely laughing about it behind my back! He could imagine Bai Geming laughing at him.
But as Lu Chen was in defeat and sadness,
"Pff." Lu Chen looked up to see Song Yanmei laughing at him. Lu Chen's expression turned blank, but it turned into a glare, "Are you messing with me?"
Song Yanmei waved her hands, "Of course, I wasn't messing around. But seeing how much you're in agony makes the situation better."
Lu Chen pouted, "You're mean."
"Says the one who threw me away." Song Yanmei added.
"Huh?" Lu Chen blinked a couple of times.
"I can't believe it. I thought the two of us were a thing. But behind my back, you brought such a cute secretary by your side. And not only that, you even brought a couple of people too."
Lu Chen had no words to describe it. She isn't wrong. But she isn't right either. Lu Chen did have a lot of girls around him. But,
When did we start dating? That was the question he had in mind? He didn't realize he started dating Song Yanmei.
"We started dating when you brought me out on a date." Song Yanmei stated.
"...!" Does that count?
"What? Do you really think we aren't dating after everything you did?" Song Yanmei said as she showed a video to him. It was Lu Chen asking Song Yanmei out at Bai Geming's party. That video had blown up as people said the two were dating.
Seeing this, Song Yanmei tilted her head, "So are we not dating?"
"..." Lu Chen wanted to say no. But he couldn't get it out of his mouth. Her words were correct.
"So it's official!"
