An anime character could be very distinct if compared to the real world. They possess too many differences that they would immediately stand out in a crowd of normal people.

"Mama..!"

"Don't cry..."

Shiro saw a kid and a pink-haired girl in a park. The latter seems to have been cosplaying since she's currently wearing a unique school uniform. That, and her colored hair and pupils.

'Ah.'

He noticed some distinct points in her. For once, the girl's accent is different from any region in Japan. Its pitch accent is quite 'exaggerated' and its tone is higher than normal. Kind of like how she's always cheerful.

"Alright! I'll help you find your mother!"

"Really?"

'Another one.'

When fictional worlds can materialize into the real world, it isn't inevitable that some weird instances could happen. For example, seeing an eroge game character is one. Fate/Zero was made to be a light novel first before an anime, hence the reason why they are speechless right now.

"Wu..."

The pink-haired girl from before kept blushing as she covered her face with her hands. She could not live with the thought of her intimate acts with her beloved being well-known by strangers. Even, it is used as a 'material'.

"Poor girl."

"Sensei, what world did she come from?"

Kuroneko and Madoka stood beside Shiro as they looked at the embarrassed girl who could not even have direct eye contact with them. Most of the males here are also reacting in strange ways, but they are uniformly embarrassed. If they had not "used" it, they had at least read through her story.

Shiro patted Madoka's head and said, "A strange world."

"Heh. Strange, it is."

"As if you did not see them before." He replied.

Shrugging, she said smugly, "Maybe."

"Anyways, the atmosphere sure is strange."

When he regained his memories, which included his "experiences" with his wives. He is not similar to the single virgins that are in this room, hence why he could not relate with them.

"Will she join us in 'Elimination Chamber Fest'?" Kuroneko asked.

"Most definitely. Even if she is a 'normal' character, 'revisions' could work on her."

Elimination Chamber Fest. The official name for the operation in which they would face was Altair. It involves the usage of a semi-fictional world dubbed "Birdcage" and the 'acceptance' of the audience. The general gist of it is that they would make the audience think that "Altair" is a character to be defeated. With that, her previously 'overpowered' character setting would be nullified, hence eliminating her and saving the world.

(A/N: The term semi-fictional applies to a world between the gaps of fiction and reality—the fictitious world and real world. The ham in the sandwich, if you may.)

Shiro: "Honestly, I am thankful that our allies are this competent."

Seeing his message in the chat group, Kuroneko replied:

Kuroneko: "I concur."

Swooosh-!

A huge humanoid mech is gradually patrolling the airspace of Tokyo. This is a form of reconnaissance that Kanoya is very familiar with. When the enemy strikes, he would report the situation to the others. After all, they could not have any troubles when it's only a few days away from Elimination Chamber Fest. The staff has been doing all the preparations for the first ACG event to be sponsored by the government.

The necessary side stories were also published. The foreshadowing was also set up, which is being enthusiastically discussed by the fan base these days. All the speculations and theories on how "Chamber Fest" would turn out to be are all over the Internet.

"Munch... No matter how much I eat, this world's foods are so damn good..!" He muttered before taking the last bite out of his okonomiyaki.

While he had tasted it before in his world, the okonomiyaki here is different. There are much more flavors hidden in it, making his experiences of eating novel. It is unlike his world where there is a limited amount of information there, thus it is lacking so many things such as the taste and aroma of foods, the texture of the flowers, the scent of the ocean breeze, and so on. His experiences are limited by what his creator put into words. As long as such things are not included in the setting, they won't be able to experience it.

It is one of the cons as compared to this "real" world where everything is "complete".

Beep-!

Beep-!

[Incoming unregistered machine. Type: Unknown.]

[Scanning specifications... Size: 19.7 Meters. Estimated Weight: 41.9~42.9 Tons.]

"Huh..? Another creation?"

His thoughts were cut short by the notices that appeared all over his cockpit. It covered his usually transparent view of the outside world, dyeing it red.

[Notice!]

[Notice!]

[Notice!]

[Incoming attack!]

Swiftly, Kanoya's thoughts were connected to Gigas Machina. He formed a Reflector Field that blocked the sudden beam attack. As it dissolved into the barrier, he saw the machine that caused it.

A white mecha. It is far smaller than his Gigas Machina which has a height of nearly 66.4 meters, yet he could already feel its danger with the rifle that it is holding.

"..!"

The moment he met its eyes, red lines suddenly appeared all over the machine's body. It spread all over it before its "horn" split into two parts. It still has the green glow that its eyes have, but somehow, Kanoya felt something strange with it.

"I want to rest... I want to rest... I didn't want this..."

"This is... my voice?"

Just as he was surprised, its speed increased sharply. It didn't take long until a beam saber came crashing down at him.

Zoom-!

Kanoya's combat intuition saved him from being incapacitated by a single strike. But, he currently faces another problem.

Bzzzt-!

The Beam Vulcan that he briefly forgot was fired. He did not even have the time to defend himself as it pierced through Gigas Machina's torso.

"Argh..!"

Blood splattered down the cockpit from his mouth. He collapsed to the ground while holding his lower torso in pain.

"It hurts..!"

Zoom-!

The dreaded beam saber came crashing down at its arm once more. Since Kanoya is being assaulted by painful senses, he could not put up a defense against it.

Zzzz-!

The saber melted Gigas Machina's right arm, making it detach from its torso. As a result, the huge arm fell from the sky. At the same time, the cockpit was greeted by Kanoya's wail of agony. As if having his stomach pierced is not enough, he got the sensation of his right arm being torn off.

"Kuhk..!"

Tears welled up in his eyes. The thought of giving up started to gradually take his mind.

'I... I'm dead.'

'I lost that first confrontation. I'm damned. There's no saving it.'

'I did my best...'

Gradually, he resigned to his fate.

"No... Everyone..."

Suddenly, he remembered the ones he needed to protect. Faces of his acquaintances back in his world popped up. That girl whom he likes but could not confess to, the stern commander who forced him into piloting Gigas Machina, his friends who supported him battle after battle... He could not bear to lose them. In the first place, he wanted to save this world for the sake of them.

"No..!"

Blood continued pouring down from his mouth. It stained his uniform and dyed the white floor red. It did not help that his surroundings are dimly lit by red light due to the alerts and notices.

When he returned to reality, he immediately manipulated Gigas Machina's left arm. It had only been two seconds after the seemingly long moment for him.

BAM-!

A huge force was generated from it, knocking the mecha away from him. Using this moment, Kanoya shakily stood up. He tried his best not to grip his right arm with his left as he needs it to defend himself. He gritted his teeth and resisted the urge to shout at this moment. If he does, he would lose all the focus and resolution that he managed to gather.

"Hu... Hu... Fu..."

He took in deep breaths before creating more distance between them. Since his energy tank wasn't depleted much, he has the advantage over long-ranged attacks. As long as he deploys the Reflector Field and does not get caught off guard, he believes that he has a chance of winning this.

He saw the mecha place the rifle back to its hip. Then, it switched to the two beam sabers in its back. It left a trail of red particles as it tried to close the distance between them.

Bam-!

Bzzt-!

Bam-!

With each strike, Kanoya managed to grasp the rhythm. He blocked the beam sabers using his force field. He even made it larger than what he usually uses just to be sure.

Bzzt-!

BAM-!

He sent out two attacks from its fist. One of them is a shockwave that would force the mech away from him while the latter is a beam attack that would damage it.

Surprisingly, it let itself get knocked back by it. However, it soon placed the saber back in its back and grabbed the Beam Vulcan once more. It started charging it with even more intensity than the first attack.

"This output..! It's different!"

Kanoya decided to display his Reflector Field's full power as a precaution. He watched as a dark sphere was formed by its rifle. Then, that black sphere was elongated after it attacked him.

Buzz-!

His Reflector Field took the brunt of the attack. The black light was spread all over the sphere shield, effectively dispersing the energy within it. After it was over, Kanoya deactivated the barrier.

Swooosh-!

He caught the mecha lunging at him right at this moment. He was about to respond when—

BAM-!

—a white figure fell from where it was. It brought along the mecha that was about to attack him. When they stabilized, he saw the mecha and another one he did not know. Compared to its red light, that mecha was covered in green particles.

He did not know that this is the clash between two different mechas that should not have met.

Still, what he saw in the green particle was...

"The light of hope."
