Mofu surged forth, his eyes aimed at the one place where all canines aim. The throat. But the Sturmhirsch was quicked and evaded his charge. It then fired a lightning bolt in Mofu's direction, but when it struck, he braced for impact and prepared to get hurt. He opened his eyes to see that he was unscathed. Mofu leaned his head down as he concentrated most of his elemental mana forward. The glowing rainbow tips on his ears, tail, and paws turned red as a giant fireball headed towards the Sturmhirsch.

The deer managed to evade, but only by a small margin. Mofu continued to fire off fireball after fireball as the deer maneuvered itself with its lightning-quick reflexes. As it was about to dodge another fireball, Mofu's secondary colors turned blue as he shot off a water ball that turned to steam as soon as it hit the fireball. The deer was surprised by the action and went to face Mofu. But, blinded by the steam, he did not see Mofu coming behind him. It was too late, as the Sturmhirsch tried to parry the attack but was met by Mofu's jaw. The Sturmhirsch wailed in pain as Mofu bit into its hind leg and tried to shake Mofu off. But Mofu was not having any of it, and his secondary colors turned bright blue. Suddenly, the deer was surrounded by a multitude of ice spikes that were aiming right at it. A split second before the spikes hit, however, the deer let out a thunderous stomp that produced a shockwave so powerful that it shattered all the ice spikes that were going to hit it. It also shot Mofu back, but he landed on his feet.

While Mofu was recovering, the deer started an electrified charge as blue lightning covered its entire body, and whenever it stepped on the ground, trails of lightning followed in its wake. Mofu sensed the incoming danger and stomped on the ground as his colors changed again to brown. A thick wall made out of rock suddenly sprouted from the ground between Mofu and the charging Sturmhirsch. When the deer impacted the wall, its antlers shattered as the tremendous force was held back by the thick stone slab. It noticed that if it continued, the antlers would be completely shattered, so it pulled out of the charge by jumping backwards.

The deer waited for Mofu to go around the wall to confront it, but what it did not expect was that Mofu used his own version of lightning to shatter the wall, which caught the deer by surprise. Mofu's tips turned yellow, and yellow lightning surrounded him as he charged at the deer with all his might. The deer tried to get away but was immediately met by Mofu's lightning bolt, which caused it to stagger. Mofu found an opening to bite the deer's throat, but the deer dodged at the last second. Mofu recovered, but the deer managed to headbutt him, which caused Mofu to be launched into a nearby tree. Blue lightning surrounded the deer once again as it prepared for another charge. His head was dead set on impailimg Mofu on its antlers, or what's left of them. It stomped with such force that it cracked the ground it stood on. Blue lightning came down from the heavens and surrounded it as it sprung with the force of a typhoon. Its head lowered, aimed at Mofu, as it chattered with all its might, blue lightning arching behind its wake.

Mofu sensed the danger and came up with a plan. His secondary colors turned blue as he fired a water ball at it. He then fired a fireball, which hit the water ball and created a smokescreen that blinded the charging deer. The deer passed through the smoke, hoping that it would hit the giant nine-tailed fox, but was met by a huge boulder. Unable to stop, it hit the boulder with such force that its steel antlers broke apart and shattered. Then it noticed the danger behind him, so it turned its body to the side but did not expect Mofu, with his jaw opened, fired a fireball at point blank range, completely desintegrating the creature's head as its body felt limp and dropped to the ground dead.

Mofu had claimed victory, but as soon as he realized that he had killed the Sturmhirsch, he rushed back to the unconscious Nirra, who was still on the forest floor.

"Mofu...." He then slowly returned to his small, three-tailed fox form and ran towards Nirra's side.

He noticed that Nirra was still breathing, but it was faint, so Mofu started licking her forehead, trying desperately to heal her. His worries were cut short when Nirra started to stir.

Nirra had awoken from her unconscious state, and what she saw was a battlefield fought between two great powers. Trees are cut in half; some are even burning. Creaters struck about as her eyes fell on the dead corpse of the Sturmhirsch.

"Mofu!!!" She was then surprised as Mofu leapt into her arms and started nuzzling his head against her chest.

"Mofu?... Did you do all of this?" Nirra said as she held up the small fox in her arms.

"Mofu! Mofu!! Mofu!" The fox said this as it made small nods.

"Wow. You're just full of surprises." Nirra commented as he slowly put down Mofu.

"I'll report this to the guild once we return to Redfield." Nirra spoke as Mofu agreed silently.

"Come on, Mofu, let's go home," Nirra said as she kneeled down with her arms open.

Mofu jumped into her arms as Nirra picked him up. Mofu was very tired after that battle, so he peacefully slept as Nirra carried him in her arms.

'It's hard to believe this small fox took out something as big as that Sturmhirsch,' she thought as she looked at the sleeping fox in her arms.

Nirra then heard the noise of water flowing as she started walking in its direction. Leaving behind the carcass of the Sturmhirsch and the battlefield created by it and the small fox she was carrying.
