"Mofu...." The vulpen then walked towards Nirra, worried about his companion's status. He also shrank down to his little fox form, as he was very tired from the ordeal.
"I'm okay, Mofu." Nirra was kneeling when Mofu came close by. So she gave the small fox a head pat, telling him she was alright.
"Mofu...." Mofu said as he purred to Nirra's pats and went to take a little nap while curled around like a small fluffy bagel.
Nirra proceeded to pick up the vulpen and place him on her shoulder, after which she met with her companions. When she did so, Ellie stood up and hugged her tightly.
"I'm glad you're okay, sis." Ellie said she was relieved that her sister was not taken from her. Nirra patted Ellie's head as she hugged her. After a few seconds, Ellie let go and walked up towards Ameria, who was inspecting the demon's carcass.
"I'm relieved you're alright, Nirra," Ameria said as she looked at her.
"But now, onto more pressing matters," she added while looking back at the body of the demon they had killed.
"Why was this demon aiming to capture Nirra and take her back to the underworld?" She said this as she started pondering possible reasons why it would do that.
Before the group could get another good chance to look at said demon, flames suddenly burst out, covering its entire body, and within seconds nothing remained but a small fire in the demon's place.
"I guess we won't have a chance to bring that back," Ellie said with a hint of sadness.
"Indeed, we have to report this back to the guild. Report that there is a cult out there summoning demons from the underworld for reasons unknown." Ameria said the twins naturally agreed.
"We should retreat back to the guild without the ominous energy that filled this place. Monsters will start to come back, and we'll be forced to fight our way out." Nirra commented.
"Agreed, let's get out of here," Ellie added as she turned towards the town, with Nirra and Ameria following suit.
Inside an undisclosed location. The hooded figure that summoned the demon earlier walked down a long hallway with luxurious interior designs very reminiscent of old Gothic. The man approached an enormous set of doors as two guards with a big and tanky build opened them, revealing a huge room that could fit any type of occasion, and in the middle of said room is a table with a map of the entire world on top of it.
"Have you finished your task?" Another hooded figure is seen across the table, sitting on an expensive-looking chair. His voice was raspy, almost whispering, but the summoner remembered that he only does this to hide his true identity.
"Yes, my lord. But some complications happened during the summoning," he said as he kneeled down in front of the other hooded figure.
"What kind of complications are you mentioning?" The Lord's voice reverberated inside the enormous room, and it almost sounded like he was a bit dissatisfied. The summoner tensed as he felt the weight of his lord's gaze bear down upon him.
"I was successful in summoning the demon, but some adventurers were able to eliminate it." He said this as the other hooded figure let out a angered, piercing stare that would make any human break down.
"But, my lord. The demon seemed to have pursued one of the adventurers, even ignoring the damage it was recieving from the othe two. It was about to take her to the underworld before it got killed by what seemed to be an S-rank adventurer," he explained, as he hoped this would bring his lord to calmness, which it did so.
"I see..." The hooded figure then leaned forward and placed his elbows on the table while crossing his fingers with one another. "What does she look like?" He questioned.
"A mature girl, probably older than 18 years of age. She has black hair tied to a pony tail with red eyes, wielding a strange weapon I have never seen before." He explained.
"Give the order to the others to start mobilizing. The time of rapture is upon us." The hooded figure said as he stood up

"No one guildmaster, I suggest we keep this a secret and state an official report as a dragon nest was created near the forest." Ameria said.
"Alright, I will pass this onto the guild boss himself. Hopefully, with the help of other S-rank adventurers, we would get to the bottom of this demonic summoning cult." Victor said as he started writing the fake report of the incident.
