Nirra, while waiting to be the right age to start buying the parts needed to finish her project, took the liberty to learn a few things under her mother's supervision. This happened every time they ran out of a certain metal, so the forge would be closed so that her father would go out and buy some from the local mine.

Nirra had learned about the currency system that uses copper, silver, and gold. A simple system that requires 100 of something less valuable to make it equate to 1 of the value of something more valuable, for example, 100 copper coins equaling 1 silver coin, 100 silver coins equaling 1 gold coin, and 100 gold coins for 1 platinum coin. The currency system was simple yet effective.

At the tender age of 10, her mother told her stories. How a hero banished a demon lord to the depths of the underworld along with his army and nation, never to be seen again. How kingdoms rose and fell due to their own pride, and how even the purest of souls can be corrupted with demonic magic

Magic was something completely new to her. If you explained magic to someone from her own world, they would just laugh it off and call you a dunce. But in this world, magic is very real and very beautiful. She explained that magic uses different elements to form skills, but she couldn't dive into the subject further because she only knows basic information about it.

Nirra thought for a while. If elemental magic exists, then it would be possible for her to develop a skill that can help her mill steel, which in turn can make even bigger and better firearms. Her mother explained that gaining these skills would be incredibly hard. That is why only those who are truly dedicated to their work can gain and master these skills, and the reason why casters are so sought after by the kingdom she was living in. Nirra knew that by learning magical skills, she could become a target for the kingdom. She shook her head, determined to learn the skills necessary to replicate steel milling.

During her growth, she also felt pain on her chest, and every time she woke up from sleeping, she noticed that her breasts were growing slowly, but the problem was that she was only 12 at the time. Nirra calculated that if they kept growing at the same pace they are now, they would make her too top-heavy by the time she was old enough to set off to become an adventurer. Never the less, she paid no more heed to it and hoped they stopped growing. On another note, she decided on becoming an adventurer after realizing that, in order to gain the skills and materials necessary to build more complex firearms, she would need to explore the world and discover new things for herself.

Meanwhile, Ellie had also been learning how to craft swords, but unlike Nirra. Ellie had been studying how to use it in secret. Only her father and mother knew that she was training on how to use the blade. They were hesitant of course, letting a 14 year old girl start sword training, but Ellie's persistence was soon rewarded with the training she wanted. Her main reason is to why she wanted to learn to use the sword, so that one day she could protect her twin sister when they eventually join the adventurer's guild.

Years have passed, and she is now 16 years old. She was finally old enough to start going to the market on her own, and the chance finally came to finish her project.

Her mom gave her a list of what to buy, but she asked for a bit more money so that she could finish her long-awaited project. Her mother agreed, and she set off with 2 silver coins and 26 bronze coins.

The village got a massive number of citizens during its time, so much so that in just a few years, the small town became a small city. complete with its outer walls, guards, and market. The primary reason for this is the nearby dungeon, which provided the village with all of its goods to sell to other cities.

Arriving at the market, she first had to get the important things her mother assigned to her on the list, and after a while she carried a couple of bags. The money she was left with was one silver coin and 42 bronze coins. Luckily for her, there was a shop selling flint for two bronze coins. She only needed one, but she ultimately bought six of them.

Arriving at home, she sat down the things her mom asked her to buy and immediately ran towards the forge. Sitting on the crafting table and grabbing the unfinished flintlock pistol from the drawer, she measured the flint and found the right measurements for it to be able to fit on the hammer.

Once she hammered some pieces of it, she gently attached it to the hammer and locked it in by folding the metal from the sides into it and pinning it to the hammer.

After it was done, Nirra was confident it would spark, so she pulled the trigger. She was correct though; sparks flew onto the "flash pan" where a small amount of gunpowder would have been on it waiting for the sparks. Once it get lit, the ensuring fire would travel inside the barrel by means of a "flash hole". A hole that directly leads to the bottom of the barrel. Now that everything is in place she just need the ammunition now. The only problem is.

"Where can I find gunpowder?"
