Chapter 26 Syndicate Meeting Day 1! by Harem-Fan
Big as fucking day... SUV Hummer 2008 Luxury Edition! With armor treatment for protection. I can tell this has all the bells and whistles on it. And It can't have too many miles on it as well, so it's almost mint condition! Crap the cost in gas on this bad boy is going to kill me!
I decided to look under the hood and see what modifications are on this ride. The normal factory version of this model is garbage really, but I can tell this vehicle has been taken apart and retooled.
"Only 11000 miles, bulletproof-glass, improved dashboard design, and this interior was definitely pimped out for Tina's preference for comfort. Most of the interior was replaced with sturdy materials to remove some of the more common complaints like the spotty transmission shit. Sadly I am guessing based on its power, it will only get around 11 miles to the gallon, sigh."
Tina, feeling like she was being insulted, said to me to defend the car.
"Look Rick, this was bought when I was young. I chose it as a child. It was supposed to be customized for my safety and comfort, but I am not a good driver, okay. My father put in a lot of effort into making this my first car to make me happy, so don't knock it. Plus I am giving it to you for free, just pay for the gas and don't sell it. I still want to be driven in it, it's been with me for a long time."
I open the back door for the two women and say.
"All aboard! No, I have to be honest and know its capability in case of an emergency, so ignore my rant. I am not ungrateful and appreciate it. And gas is something I can now afford do to my side racing. Let's go Tina and Jenifer."
A man in a butler attire came to me and offered.
"Mr Lee, if you would be kind enough to leave your BMW keys with me, I shall drive it to your home and then take a cab back. This way you won't have to bother anyone to get it, then I will give you the keys back when you drop off the young miss?"
I then pulled out just the car key for the man, and put the rest of my keys away. Then I climb up into the Hummer. Locking the doors I put my gear into the empty passenger seat while the ladies are in the back seat.
Before leaving I text Mary to let her know about the new work vehicle and then drop off the car. She replied with acknowledgement and her love.
"I bought a new album I have been listening to, so I will play it for the ride to the Hotel."
As the songs played, I started the loud SUV and began our trip. The two women in the back apparently have not heard this new music of the woman singing.
"If you don't know her she is called Kate Kong, and she was a movie star who is starting her music career. The star in last year's Vampire Princess Movie."
Tina then surprised me.
"I know her, because we went to the same middle-school before I went to Star High. We used to be friends, but I lost contact with her due to her busy life. So this is her singing, not bad."
"Yeah, I am a closet fan of hers due to being a nerd for the whole vampire princes thing. Hot vampires are most nerds' crushes. But to be honest, her singing is better than her acting."
This SUV does not handle too badly due to its suspension being tweaked. But it feels strange for me now that I am used to a manual to go to an automatic. Plus its acceleration is a bit like a turtle, but if I ever need to go off-road I will be happy. Mary would love driving this though.
I noticed the tail.
"A black van has been tailing us for about four blocks, what do you want me to do?"
"Let me call someone to see if they are ours or not."
After Tina talked to someone she smiled and said.
"Those are my men, they felt embarrassed you found them even a block away."
"Tell them to paint their vehicle white if they don't want to stand out in the daytime. Black is better for night tailing, and red is a no no."
About an hour later I made it across town to the North West part of the city to a Hotel Convention-center right next to the Arena Stadium belonging to Tony's dad.
The name is ironic due to it being no different from my first life's Hotel-chain, but this Hotel is also called the [Hilton International.] It hosts popular events from Comic-con to Movie-premieres and much more.
After parking in the underground lot I got out and scanned the area before letting the two women out.
Then the black-van from earlier stopped next to the SUV and ten men in black-suits, crimson-ties, and sunglasses got out. These are not thugs but elite members and smaller regional bosses. The men humbly greeted Tina in turn, but it was none of my business.
I then activated the hotel system I had previously hacked using my Bluetooth smartphone connection.
"Now that the greetings are done with, let's go and check in gentlemen."
Tina gestured to her Fire Birds members and our group of 13 went to the elevator. My eyebrow raised as I looked into the security feed and saw into the elevator heading down.
I see two businessmen put down briefcases and pull out combat knives used by special forces and are holding them behind their backs to hide from those getting on?!
I pulled out my two extendable batons and stood in-front of the elevator door, and said to the confused party.
"There will most likely be an ambush here in the parking garage, so everyone stand back. Miss Feng stand there while I disarm them."
The ten men moved to the side while a couple of them pulled out handguns. Naturally I watch Tina's men as well, that's why I placed her near me. The two in the elevator can be a distraction. Everyone wants to avoid gunfire as much as possible or the police will come, and this is why the two men have combat-knives.
As their elevator is about to land on the lowest floor, I pressed a button on my smartwatch making the elevator cut the lights inside to make it dark, rapidly drop the remaining 20 feet, and open the doors at the same time.
Thud, Thud! As the doors and lights of the elevator opened and turned on, I saw the two men disoriented and on their sides from dropping in the dark, but I didn't even ask what they intended, and started my work.
Whoosh, Smack! Whoosh, Smack! Whoosh, Smack! Whoosh, Smack! Whoosh, Smack! Whoosh, Smack!
I twirl my two batons in a silver-blur aiming for the wrists, knees, and heads to the two men who have dropped their knives due to the elevator fall or my pummeling of their joints.
"Ah! Fuck, stop, ahhh!"
"AAA! Help, murderer, help me!"
Whoosh, Smack! Whoosh, Smack! Soon the two men are unconscious and I put my batons away, then drag the two men and their things from the elevator and say to the group.
"Miss Feng and I are going up first, question them, deal with-them. Those are the weapons they were holding when the elevator opened. Let's go, Miss Feng."
I drag Tina in with me leaving the ten men behind in confusion of what just happened. Jenifer jumped into the elevator before it closed and looked at my actions speechlessly.
I look at my watch to see if the floor we are coming out on is safe and it is. So the two are assassins or bait for one of her men.
"Jenifer, when we get to the room, give me a list of the ten men that came and the phone numbers and don't let them know I want the information. I think one of them set that up."
"What?! Those are our long-time loyal members, they would never do that?"
"Are those your dying words as one of those knives are in your gut?"
Tina says to Jenifer.
"If Rick asks you to do something, it is the same as me telling you, so get him what he wants. Those guys timed it too well, right Rick?"
I nodded to her and explained.
"They already had their weapons hidden behind their backs before they knew who was on the other-side of the closed doors, meaning someone told them we were here. I think it's an inside job. My guess is the fight between the two gangs was caused by this backdoor framing. I believe those two will be from the Hidden Dragons, but they are traitors to the top. Someone wants the four groups to fight."
"Okay then I will get you the information from my computer in the room, is that okay Mr Lee?"
I nodded and then Tina asked me with curiosity.
"So how did you expect that ambush?"
So I lied.
"I noticed one of the men looked at the elevator doors like he was waiting for something or maybe he just had to shit bad. So I played it safe. I won't accuse any men till I can look them up online first."
Do remember that Tina Feng scored 3rd on the test, and would have been third if I was not there without cheating. So despite her trickster ways, she's smart.
All I can do is lessen the amount of skill in computers to that of a basic hacker in her eyes. Don't want her to know I can peep on her naked or something. But background searching is common for Bodyguards and Bounty-hunters.
The elevator doors opened to reveal the main-lobby and I led the way to the counter for Tina to do her thing. I just watch everyone in the lobby to see if there is a backup plan.
When I heard our room number I took out my smartphone for a better picture and looked at the security of the room and the last time it was entered via the lock system.
And by the time we got to our floor I confirmed no one tampered with the room. But for show, I tell the two women.
"When we enter, stay at the door while I sweep the place."
So when the three of us go in, I make a show of searching closets and under-beds and the like. She is paying for a sense of security so I have to look the part.
I pulled out a bug-detector from my bag and swept the room as well, and surprisingly the room was clean.
The girls put their bags on the floor and Tina asked me while pointing to the side bedroom next to the main bedroom.
"There are two beds and three of us, how will we do this then?"
I point to the servants room and say. If this story is on any-other site than Scribble Hub, then it was stolen without permission!
"Tina sleep there, and have Jenifer take the master bedroom, and I am on this couch here."
"I guess it is in case our room was invaded. Do you want the distraction?"
"That's right, so now I need to work, and don't leave the room for an hour till I figure-out who set you up."
So for the next hour I looked at all ten men and their recent week's activity and during the weekend of the gang fight.
Soon I narrowed it down to two men and asked both women to examine what I found to see if anything is amiss. I don't know the business men they meet and who are in rival gangs.
While they looked at the profiles for irregularities, I heard a knock at the door, so I pulled out my gun to take a look.
Not dumb enough to put my eye up to the eye-hole, I look through the security feed and see an older gentleman among the ten men. This is in fact not one of the two men I flagged, so I cracked the door.
"The young miss is occupied at the moment, how can I help?"
"This document is all we could get out of the two men before Fredrick Di killed them."
I take the file through the door and thank the man before closing and locking it. I then went to the girls and handed them the sheet and said.
"Fredrick Di is a traitor, and probably an assassin, so look at him more. He killed the two men without fully getting information, like he was in a hurry to shut them up."
And 15 minutes later Jenifer found a meeting he had with a foreign group that smuggles illegals in and brings drugs into the country.
So this group is called the Southern Cross and they have a drug-field and small country in Antarctica continent. They are really far from us but that is one of their things, they are a world wide cancer to all countries.
(A/N as a reminder Antarctica is not on the south pole in the Pangaea land mass and its climate is like Canada.)
Tina then smirks and says.
"So Southern Cross thinks they can play us for fools, and oh poor Fredrick Di, you made a mistake thinking I wont kill you. Father put me here for a reason, Ufufu."
So Jenifer asks.
"What about his men?"
"Let's see who his important men are and invite them for tea."
I pressed a button on my laptop and four corrupt men showed up.
"No need, these four are taking extra gifts of money, women, and large presents, plus they have all been making strange moves around the two conflicting gangs last week so they are as guilty as him, the rest are your Fire Birds people, so ask them to run errands to remove them."
So Tina had Jennifer leave with notes from herself instructing them to piss-off and vanish for two days or die, and not tell anyone or die, then come back or die. Yeah, she only has one punishment setting, sigh.
When Tina Feng and I were alone she smiled and said.
"You have earned your Hummer from me, fufu."
Her sense of humor needs work for sure.
So the two of us rested in the room while Jenifer handed out notes, now we just need to wait till the meeting tonight and into the morning.
