The Phoenix opened its beak, and a wisp of fire began to form; it then shot a huge fireball from its beak toward Daganzo, Furano, and Alton before it. The fireball shot quickly; they realized this and immediately evaded to the side. The fireball hit one of the skyscrapers, destroying several parts and surprising them. Alton’s expression turned serious.
“The Phoenix attack power is much greater than those automatons.”
Behind his mask, Daganzo’s expression turned serious.
“Who knows how long this gigantic Phoenix automaton will chase us.”
Behind the Phoenix, dozens of defense personnel chasing it were shocked when they saw the Phoenix’s attack hit one of the skyscrapers. One of the defense personnel communicates via his single earphone.
“Phoenix leader attacked a skyscraper, request back up to take care of the building.”
Back at the destroyed library building, the defense personnel almost finished extinguishing the fire blaze. One of them replied.
“Understood, sir.”
They divided their teams, and some of them then rode their flying broomsticks toward the skyscraper building.
Back to Daganzo, Alton, and Furano, they rode their flying broomsticks through the night sky covered with glass walls magic spells, trying to get away from the Phoenix leader chasing them. Alton appeared to realize something.
“When I fought automatons before, it took them a while to track me every time I went out of the line of their sight.”
Daganzo nodded.
“Alright, let’s try hiding.”
Daganzo, Alton, and Furano rode their flying broomsticks to one of the other skyscrapers near them, then headed to the back of it. The phoenix leader flew after them toward behind this skyscraper, but they had disappeared, causing the Phoenix to hover in place while flapping its gigantic wings in confusion. The Phoenix looked around momentarily and then flew away from the skyscraper; defense personnel flew after it while keeping their distance and attacking with magic spells again.
Back to Daganzo, Furano, and Alton, they were inside this skyscraper, in a wide corridor with a high ceiling, with a row of framed glass panes on the left, and a building wall on the right, and a row of large rectangular block-shaped concrete pillars along the middle of the corridor.
Alton and Furano hid on one of the pillars on the left, while Daganzo hid on another pillar on the right. They vigilantly observed the Phoenix leader, who finally flew away. Alton was slightly surprised.
“It worked; if it flies far enough, it won’t be able to track us anymore.”
Daganzo and Furano nodded. Daganzo smiled.
“Good job, Alton.”
Alton was slightly surprised; he then smiled and nodded. Daganzo and Furano then observed the situation outside the windows again. Alton looked at Furano with a cheerful smile.

Furano turned to Alton. Alton smiled.
“Let’s do our best.”

The Phoenix leader flew with its gigantic wings and then appeared to realize something; it then turned around, startling the defense personnel who were chasing from behind, and they immediately flew away to evade. The Phoenix flew back toward the previous skyscraper, opening its beak, and a wisp of fire formed. The Phoenix then shot a huge fireball toward the building.
Some time ago. Inside the skyscraper, Alton, Furano, and Daganzo could see quite clearly in the distance that the Phoenix leader was turning around and flying back toward this skyscraper because of the glowing red patterns all over its body. Alton was surprised
“Unfortunately, it hasn’t flown away until we’re out of its tracking range.”
Daganzo nodded.
“We have to go now.”
Alton and Furano nodded. They got on their broomsticks, flew down the corridor to the right, and realized from the view outside the row of framed glass panes next to them that the Phoenix leader was shooting a huge fireball at this skyscraper, surprising them.
They pointed their swords, handguns, and soul daggers toward the front and used Shatter Magic Spells on the framed glass panes before them, creating cracks that spread rapidly. They penetrated the broken window panes into small granules easily. Soon after, a fireball hit this skyscraper and caused a huge explosion, destroying the corridor they had just passed through. Alton, Daganzo, and Furano speed up their flying broomsticks to get away.
Back to the Phoenix leader chased Daganzo, Alton, and Furano; its flying speed gradually became faster, and it would soon catch up with them. Furano looked back momentarily and was surprised, then focusing toward the front again.
“The Phoenix is closing the distance with us.”

“Why am I the one being chased by that Phoenix?”
On the other location, Furano appeared to realize something.
“The Phoenix probably prioritizes pursuing existences from outside the universe.”

“Try to evade it, Alton. If it gets too close, we gather again to confuse it.”

Because of its expansive wingspan, the Phoenix couldn’t get close to Alton, who was flying above the road between the buildings, although it could catch up with Alton and fly above him. Alton looked up, shocked to find the gigantic Phoenix flying above him as he thought.
“For a creature that size, it flew very fast….”
