Lin Sifei regretted her previous inattention so much that she wanted to swallow her paws. She should have looked more closely just now, since she didn’t even remember the face of the heroine.

Lin Sifei, after calming down, realized that the big project Special Assistant Lin had previously mentioned should be the major plot point in the original book when the heroine participated and lost all the planning and display flash drives that the department had stayed up all night to complete, directly ruining the project.

It was this project that made the heroine fall to the bottom of the corporate ladder. In the end, it was her first boyfriend who came out to take over the cooperation project, so it didn’t cost the company much, but from then on, the employees in her department held a grudge against the heroine, and they always turned their back on her.

Lin Sifei narrowed her eyes. She wasn’t expecting the plot point to come so quickly. Since the heroine made such a big mistake, firing her was justified. She needed to take proper advantage of this chance.

Lin Sifei rubbed her paws, her mind already coming up with ideas revolving around how after she drove out the heroine, she would conquer the villainess with her charm and live a worry free life where her clothes and food were covered.

“Special Assistant Lin, what’s going on with Chair Luo’s cat? Does it have some kind of epilepsy?”

Lin Sifei, who was smiling with her cat mouth open, stiffened and turned her head to glare at  Zhao Min. You’re the one who’s sick, right? Can’t you let a cat be happy?

“And she’s staring at me like she understands us.” Zhao Min pointed out to Special Assistant Lin.

Lin Sifei squirmed in exasperation, waving her butt at her.

After lying down for a while, Lin Sifei still couldn’t hold back her curiosity. She wanted to take another look at the heroine. According to the book, the heroine should be a very kind girl, if she could be raised by her, then she would be well off in the future, and wouldn’t have to worry about her owner going bankrupt.

She glanced at Zhao Min, who was leaning in front of Special Assistant Lin’s computer, pointing at the screen and saying something.

Lin Sifei took a deep breath and leapt. With her short legs, she hurried all the way to the conference room door and carefully hid behind the flower pot.

After a short while, the conference room door opened, and Lin Sifei was a little surprised that the heroine was leaving early.

She narrowed her eyes and smiled, the heavens are helping me.

*

Yan Yafei gave a brief presentation in the conference room, and as a result, Luo Ke asked her a bunch of questions. Problem was, those questions hadn’t been answered in the group yet, so how would she know?

“Meow~ meow~”

Faint cat calls came from behind the potted plant, drawing Yan Yafei over. She saw a kitten meowing softly at her with its head raised.

“Isn’t this that Zhao Min’s cat?” Yan Yafei walked over to the cat and watched as the cat reached her paws out to touch her. Suddenly, she lifted her foot and kicked the cat over.

The cat’s meowing stopped abruptly and rolled around on the ground, looking at her in confusion.

“Heh!” She let out a sneer, “Isn’t she just a secretary, who is she looking down at.”

She stretched out her foot to kick again, but the cat had sensed it and hidden itself into the crack of the potted plant. Yan Yafei made a tsk sound and reached out to grab it.

Lin Sifei’s was scared out of her fur. How could the heroine be so cruel? How could she vent her anger on a cat?

Unfortunately, since the gap between potted plant was so small, Lin Sifei couldn’t fit inside. Yan Yafei reached out and grabbed Lin Sifei by her hind legs, yanking her out and up.

“Meowrrrr!” Lin Sifei flexed her body upwards and opened her mouth to bite the evil hand.

Yan Yafei flew to let go of her hand, but Lin Sifei could only run a few steps away before she was picked up from behind.

“Still running away?!” Yan Yafei’s smile was so gentle that it was creepy.

“Yan Yafei.” A cool voice sounded from behind.

When Lin Sifei heard the familiar voice, she wanted to cry out on the spot. She flailed out her legs and tried to twist her body to get away.

Luo Ke handed the folder in her hand to the secretary beside her and held out her hand at Yan Yafei, “This is my cat, can I have her back now?”

Yan Yafei was stunned and her face twitched, “So it’s our Chair Luo’s cat, it’s so pretty. I thought it was a stray cat, so I wanted to carry it home.”

”Then it seems that I’m not raising it well, since it was mistaken for a stray cat.”

“No, no, I didn’t mean that.”

“I know.” Luo Ke picked up Lin Sifei and rubbed her fur, coming away with dirt on her hand. She frowned.

Yan Yafei hurriedly explained, “She ran behind the potted plant just now, so she might have brushed against the mud.”

Luo Ke nodded slightly and carried the cat away.

Lin Sifei hugged Luo Ke’s arm in aggravation and meowed, cursing the heroine for being so shameless. Her hind legs were still pulsing with pain. But in the book, she was clearly written as a kind girl, yet now she has no kindness at all!!

She cursed so hard but the people around couldn’t understand her. They just found her meowing to be very cute.

Luo Ke scratched her chin and walked over to the secretary’s desk, knocking on the table.

Zhao Min and Special Assistant Lin both stood up, “President Luo.”

They saw the cat that Luo Ke was holding, Zhao Min paled and bit her lips.

Luo Ke: “Have you thought of a punishment for yourself?”

Zhao Min grief-strickenly replied, “Deduct this month’s bonus.”

“Next time, do things more carefully.” Luo Ke turned around and headed to the office.

Lin Sifei laid in her arms and peeked up to see Zhao Min hang her head, feeling a little bad. She had hurt someone and caused them to lose their bonus.

Pulling the door open, Luo Ke turned back, “I’ll give you a chance to make up for your mistake, come in.”

Zhao Min’s eyes lit up again, and grabbed the tablet on the way in.

As Lin Sifei raised her head and looked at Luo Ke’s expressionless face, the corners of her mouth curled up. It was better to follow the villainess, she decided. At least the villainess was so gentle, unlike someone, she thought, burying her head in Luo Ke’s arms.

Zhao Min followed into the office and stood in the middle of the room, straight as a board, “What do you need me to do, Chair Luo?”

Luo Ke sat in her office chair and pointed at Lin Sifei, “How do you make her not look like a stray cat?”

Zhao Min shook her head repeatedly, “Chair Luo’s cat is so cute, so how could it look like a stray cat?” Her desire to live was evidently very strong now.

She reacted as she realized, “Why don’t you put a tag on the cat with your name and phone number on it, so that if the cat gets lost in the future, it will be easier for someone else to send it back.”

Luo Ke nodded, “Yes.”

“I’ll get it customized then.” She happily turned to go out, but suddenly remembered something and turned back in, “Chair Luo, what’s this cat’s name?”

Luo Ke frowned, “Doesn’t have one.”

Zhao Min’s mouth stiffened and nodded quickly, “Okay, then only Chair Luo’s surname will be engraved.”

She did things quickly, and the collar arrived in the afternoon. A red collar, gold-plated tag, with a large “Luo” on the front and a phone number on the back.

When Lin Sifei looked at the unsophisticated cat tag, her heart cracked. She would never allow such a tacky thing on her neck, never!

Then Luo Ke half-pinned her on the table, forcefully clasping the collar on her.

Lin Sifei cursed as she kicked out her legs. Luo Ke pinched the back of her neck to raise her and put one hand on the cat’s nose, “Are you cursing at me?”

Lin Sifei shut up instantly, her tongue sticking out uneasily to lick the corners of her mouth.

When Luo Ke let go, Lin Sifei immediately ran to the side, jumping up and down as if she was performing a lion dance, trying to get the collar off.

After a while, there was no sign of the collar to loosen up at all, so she gave up completely and laid down on the table tiredly.

Luo Ke, satisfied, she stopped staring at her cat and continued typing on the keyboard.

Lin Sifei meowed in boredom, wanting to interfere with her work. Luo Ke looked at her and rummaged in one of her desk cupboards for a fountain pen and gave it to her to play with.

After pawing the pen for a moment, Lin Sifei stood up and walked over to her keyboard, holding out her paw on it.

When she saw Luo Ke didn’t respond, she crawled forward, there was still no response, and then crawled forward again, this time she was almost blocking the keyboard, and Luo Ke finally moved to hold her to the side.

Lin Sifei narrowed her eyes and reached her paws out to hold Luo Ke’s hand, rubbing her head against it, and Luo Ke retracted her hand back.

Lin Sifei was happily laughing as she got up. Luo Ke was quite tolerant of her, other than she didn’t allow Lin Sifei to rub against her, although Luo Ke had a cold expression, in fact, she was a big softie.

After understanding Luo Ke’s nature, Lin Sifei became even more unrestrained and happily strolled around her desk.

The day I will snatch Luo Ke’s heart is just around the corner, and I will be a rich cat very soon, Lin Sifei thought.
