Lin Sifei was confused. Really, so you like Yan Yafei because her name is as idiotic as yours? Su Binglian… Yan Yafei… yeah, they didn’t seem to have any difference.

Chen Mingsi pushed Yan Yafei’s picture in front of her a little more, as if she also wanted Lin Sifei to compliment her.

Lin Sifei rolled her eyes, but then thought of an idea. She purposefully growled and let her fur spike up, herself arching her back and hissing.

Chen Mingsi was frightened back a little. She was a cat owner, so she knew clearly that this was the pose cats took when they felt frightened.

“Kitty, what happened to you?”

When Zhao Min heard, she quickly explained, “This Yan Yafei used to be an employee here, but unfortunately, she’s hit our Chair Luo’s cat before. Another time, she tried to feed the cat chocolate as well, but thankfully she was full that day, and didn’t eat it.”

Things like feeding chocolate were always unacceptable to every cat owner. Plus, Chen Mingsi was a young girl, and didn’t have any connections with Yuan Mo or Yan Yafei, so when Zhao Min finished explaining, she immediately believed it. She balled up a fist as she said with righteousness, “That’s so terrible of her.”

She immediately reversed her following and even put out a post of her own naming Yan Yafei’s problems.

Lin Sifei slanted her head as she lay on the table, watching Chen Mingsi flame some of Yan Yafei’s fans, but she internally shook her head.

It was evident that she was very gullible, so probably not a very trustworthy ally. Yes, Chen Mingsi probably didn’t like Yan Yafei now because of the cat abuse, but if she also trusted other people like that that easily, she could hurt others.

Lin Sifei, after concluding that, jumped off the secretary desk, deciding to wander around the company again.

President Chen and Luo Ke did negotiate for a long time, but when they came out they were both smiling, so their cooperation seemed to go well.

“Sisi, hurry, come say goodbye to your big sister Luo Ke.”

Chen Mingsi originally had wanted to chase after the cat, but having been called by her dad, she could only reluctantly walk over and wave to Luo Ke.

“Then, Chair Luo, we will go now. If we have time we will invite you over.”

“Sure, I look forward to it.”

Luo Ke, having sent out her guests, loosened the top button of her blouse and sighed a sigh of relief. She looked towards Zhao Min, “Where’s Xiaoxiao?”

“She ran towards the working area just now.”

Luo Ke shook her head and walked towards the area to find her cat.

Although their boss appeared not for an inspection, everyone in the work area pulled themselves together and appeared 120% ready. In order to end that terrine experience, Lin SIfei was hurriedly stuffed back into Luo Ke’s arms.

“Meow?” Well, these people were definitely good at catching cats.

Luo Ke tapped on her nose and carried her back to her office.

“How was it? Did you have fun outside?”

Lin Sifei immediately shook her fur out and stood proudly in front of her, using her phone to type out how she just turned a potential ally of Yan Yafei down.

Really, Luo Ke wasn’t that concerned about Yan Yafei, but since her cat really held grudges, she just also followed her.

“Not bad,” Luo Ke smiled as she rubbed her head.

Lin Sifei, seeing that Luo Ke hadn’t really taken it seriously, ducked away from her hand, her eyes narrowed. Maybe she could use this as a warning.

[President Chen’s daughter likes Yan Yafei, and Yuan Mo likes her too. Since Yan Yafei doesn’t like you, how can you be sure that she won’t direct the two of them to get rid of you?]

Luo Ke leaned back on her chair, thoughtfully running through the possibilities, “Our company has just signed a massive contract with Baylor, and everything within that has been running smoothly, so there aren’t any places for them to attack even if they ally with each other. Yuan Mo might still do something stupid like this, but President Chen definitely would not let his daughter go rogue.”

[But your second uncle did that bad deed with Baylor last time and caused a scene, what will you do if it happens again?]

Lin Sifei had originally just wanted to warn her to be careful, or maybe get rid of her second uncle all together.

She didn’t expect Luo Ke to touch her chin and say, “If there was something like that, it can only say that we have some spy within our ranks, because there’s no way they know if our company’s internal projects have any issues.”

Luo Ke narrowed her eyes and looked towards Lin Sifei, “Why do I think that you are trying to warn me of something?”

Lin Sifei swallowed nervously and tilted her head to act cutesy, nope, sister, you’re reading too far into it, I’m just an innocent little cat demon.

Luo Ke immediately saw through that facade and picked her up.

She squished a cat paw, “I remember asking if you were a cat demon back then, but you seriously rejected that idea. Why did you then admit it so soundly?”

""

Lin Sifei sweated under her fur and closed her eyes, thinking, maybe she could just tell her about how she transmigrated into this book. If Luo Ke knew directly, maybe she could beware of them.

But she also remembered how Luo Ke was last time with her family. She still seemed to want to protect them, and also had a huge misunderstanding with Lin Sifei last time, which still made her angry.

“But maybe I’m also wrong. There are a lot of things that you don’t know. You’re so idiotic you can’t possibly be human.”

Lin Sifei’s fur immediately exploded outwards. You are an idiot, you are! At the most, she had some trouble with living on her own since she used to have an auntie and assistant. Plus, all she really needed to know how to do was how to act. A lot of academic geniuses were also like her, okay!

Luo Ke, having been scratched a few times, couldn’t help but laugh, “Okay, I won’t say you’re dumb. Look at you, you’ve been using your phone quite well.

Luo Ke’s smile slowly disappeared, though, as she mumbled, “Right, but you’re a cat human who’s just become a human, how are you so familiar with phones?”

Lin Sifei’s fur stood up again as she felt the paw Luo Ke had in her hands have pressure applied. No no no, she was going to be exposed again!

She closed her eyes and decided to make a sacrifice, typing out, [What’s happening in your family? The thing between your first and second aunt.]

Luo Ke also seemed eager to escape the conversation about whether Lin Sifei was a human or not, following, “They are still quarreling, both of them, but both are unwanting of divorce. I don’t knowhy they are trying to still continue their marriage.”

Luo Ke rubbed her eyebrows.

[If she’s not going to let go of her brother-in-law, she’s just morally wrong.]

Luo Ke’s eyes wandered around as she thought, fingers tapping frequently on the armrests of her chair.

Lin Sifei narrowed her eyes, she knew that Luo Ke was conflicted.

Finally, Luo Ke rested her forehead on her hand and said, “Morally wrong actions aren’t something I can necessarily point out as her junior… overall, she’s still a good person.”

Lin Sifei, again, hated that iron could not become steel at that moment, and slapped a few paws onto Luo Ke’s abdomen. Stupid little Luo Ke! No wonder she was scammed so much by those idiots from the Luo family. You guys are all bigger idiots than each other but that makes my job hard, I’m angry!

Luo Ke covered her stomach and puffed up her cheeks, then rubbed Lin Sifei’s head, “But they raised me to be an adult.”

Lin Sifei stopped her hitting movements and immediately pounced into the crook of Luo Ke’s neck, cuddling her with her paw.

Luo Ke chuckled as she petted Lin Sifei, “I’m fine, I know that sometimes they don’t do great stuff, but they are nice to me, so they are definitely good in heart.”

Lin Sifei was both sad and angry for Luo Ke at the same time. Ah, but they raised you into an interesting breed of idiot!

But, it probably was because Luo Ke couldn’t put down their family ties since she was raised by them.

She needed Luo Ke to go see a normal household. Come on, Zhao Min! Here’s your chance to get a pay raise and be elevated in the company!

At the secretary’s office, Zhao Min sneezed, muttering to herself, “Did I catch a cold?”
