Jita was almost unconscious already. Her eyes were blurry, and she could barely see with how dark it was. Her wounds were pouring red all over her skin, almost burning her with how hot her blood was. She had lost so much blood that everything felt cold, and she could barely dodge the giant tail of the Giant White Serpent as it crashed under her, cracking the earth beneath her.

[You’re taking too long!]

Her small, nimble form was seconds away from falling down. She saw the Giant White Serpent catch the sight of her about to fall, and it whipped its tail towards her. The shadow covered her entire body, and Jita stared up at the tail.

[I hope those brats got home safe.]

She closed her eyes to accept her fate as the giant tail swung down at her, like death’s scythe.

There was an explosion as the tail met a body. No, it was more like a body met the tail.

“You bastard! What do you think you’re doing to my Jita?” Chief Ban Boarhill roared as he tackled the tail aside, which caused the Giant White Serpent to grow confused.

How was it that such a pitiful creature could manage to deflect its magnificent tail? Something must have gone wrong.

It turned to face Chief Ban Boarhill, who had grown almost a foot in size and was now completely different. He had undergone a change, one which rapidly ate away at his body. He was no longer a fat, ugly man. Now he was a handsome man, with more than a human amount of abs, bulging muscles, and flowing hair.

“Chief!”

“Have you gone mad?”

“What are you doing?”

The Six Spears came, though they were like the Six Ants to the Giant White Serpent, and they stared at their Chief, who had tossed off his cloak to reveal his entire muscular body to them all.

They hadn’t seen the Chief take this form for many years, not since that time. The Chief’s body was burning his life force in order to increase his strength. He had lost his mind when he saw his darling Jita in such a terrible state.

“Take Jita out of here,” the Chief commanded.

“But Chief!”

“Did you not here what I said you damned bastard?” He turned to glare at the Six Spear who dared to speak up against him. “I will handle this overgrown sh-“

The Giant White Serpent didn’t understand what the man was saying, but he did seem like a juicy morsel. With this man’s strength, the Giant White Serpent could easily sleep for another decade, though it would actually use the strength against its sworn enemy.

However, as it struck the Chief, it noticed something weird. The Chief didn’t die from taking such a heavy blow. The Chief had caught the tail above his head with both forearms, dissipating the blow through his body, his legs, and then into the ground, which shattered beneath his steady feet.

“You rude bastard,” Chief Ban Boarhill said. “I was talking to my-“

Hearing the words of such a puny human didn’t interest the Giant White Serpent at all. Instead, it continued to assault the chief with its tail, trying to get him to kneel before it and to accept its defeat.

“Chief!”

Chief Ban Boarhill was running on his life force as well as his rage.

[This bastard snake!]

As its tail whipped up and around its head, it slammed downward, but found nothing.

“Double Raging Boar Horn!” The Chief gathered his ki around his fists, and stepped forward. His fists were at his side, but within the span of a breath, they slammed against the Giant White Serpents tail, which lay right in front of him. He struck the scales with his strength, but found them barely moving back.

The Giant White Serpent was not amused. It looked down at the Chief, the insignificant creature, and was wondering what it was doing.

The tiny one ran away and it has to hunt the little thing, but this being wasn’t running away, and instead was trying to attack it?

It was lost in its thoughts when the Chief pulled his fists back again. “Single Raging Boar Horn!” This was his greatest technique, one which had the same strength as the Double Raging Boar Horn, but into a single area. He gathered his ki and struck the Giant White Serpent’s tail again, this time into the same spot with both of his fists.

The Giant White Serpent felt something through its scales now, a little prick. The Chief vomited blood, feeling his body tear from the inside out as he attacked the creature with everything he had. Yet, it didn’t even seem the one bit phased by his strongest blow.

“Chief!”

“We need to get out of here!”

The Giant White Serpent looked down at this puny thing and realised it may have underestimated it. Well, that didn’t matter. It seemed to be half dead already, so it decided to speed up the process. It hissed at the Chief and opened its mouth wide, charging forward as it tried to snap the Chief within its giant maw.

The Chief leapt backwards away from it as the Giant White Serpent barely missed, striking the ground. The rock under it was misshaped from the acid that had spilled out.

[If I get caught in that, I’m dead!]

The Chief gathered his ki again. He had already given his best and it had done nothing, but how he could back off against something which had hurt his Jita?

“Chief, we should run!”

“Bastard! How could I run now? I need to teach this snake bastard a lesson!” The Chief roared back at his Six Spears, each of whom were ready to lay their lives down for him.

“Chief! Don’t lose your life here! We still need you to lead us!”

“You bastards! Get your asses-“ The Chief had made the mistake of looking back towards the Six Spears as he shouted, only to find a shadow looming over him.

[Damn it!]

“Drilling Twin Spear!” came a pair of voices, shouting in harmony. The two spears met the Giant White Serpent’s tail, striking it just a little to the side, allowing it to narrowing miss the Chief.

The Chief stared at the pair of twins who had just arrived on the scene. “What are you doing here?” He recalled they had been with the crippled Arrayist who had arrived earlier.

“Giant White Serpent,” they both said.

“We must kill it,” Lily said.

“For our fortune,” Ash continued.

[For your fortune?]

The Giant White Serpent was getting annoyed now, but when it looked down to see that two new prey had come, it suddenly felt much better. However, its hunger was now beginning to gnaw at it.

“You should give the little Miss this pill,” Gin said, holding up a dark pill. “The Arrayist hopes she doesn’t die.” He hiccuped, barely able to contain it. He was swaying from side to side as he looked up at the Giant White Serpent.

“This pill…” One of the Six Spears took it. He nodded to another and then began to feed it to Jita.

“What are you doing to Jita, you bastard?” The Chief dashed back towards Jita.

“Oi! Why did no one tell me there was two Giant White Serpents?” Gin hiccuped again, pointing away from the Giant White Serpent, still swaying from side to side.

“This drunken bastard, what’s he talking about?” Chief Ban Boarhill looked at the Giant White Serpent, which was now fighting the twins. Then he heard a cough from behind him, seeing Jita cough up some blood, but then her wounds began to heal. “Jita!”

“Chief! She’s safe for now! We need to return her back to our village!”

“Is she truly safe for now?” Chief asked.

“She is!”

“First Spear, Second Spear,” he said to his most powerful Spears. “You two will remain here and look after her. Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth…”

The four Spears stood up, spears in hand, understanding what was about to happen.

“You four will come with me! We’re going to teach this snake bas-“ Gin vomited loudly beside them, causing the Chief to stop speaking. The Chief’s forehead had an anger vein, which was now throbbing visibly. “Come on!” Chief Ban Boarhill exclaimed and then charged in with his four Spears following him, joining the twins, who were being pushed back.

“Twinned Spear Rain!” the Twin Spears exclaimed together. They gathered their ki through their weapon, not quite Spear Ki, and a hundred spears flowed out from their spears to strike against the Giant White Serpent. It struck through the spears, crashing against them and breaking them like they were made of clay, using its mighty tail to instil a sense of despair within the twins.

“Very,” Lily said.

“Difficult,” Ash finished.

The two had been dealing with it for not long, but it was easily dealing with the twin’s various techniques. They only had a handful of tricks left, but none of them seemed to be strong enough to deal with the snake.

“Twinned Twirling Snake Spear!” Lily spun her spear around her once, and then leapt upwards as the Giant White Serpent darted towards her.

Ash followed her up a moment later, his spear following the same path that she was making. It was a technique which would force the opponent to dodge to the side, but then fall under the strike of one of their spears. Dodge one spear, only to be skewered by another.

Unfortunately for them, the Giant White Serpent opened its maw wide to accept them inside, with its powerful acid dripping out.

[That will kill us!]

The twins were in terrible trouble now as they neared their deaths.
