I Will Save her, I Swear it!
(*Celia’s POV*)
Seemingly alerted by Ria to my arrival, all my family members were waiting the living room of Yona’s castle. Upon seeing them, I had a bright and happy smile on my face.
Quickly, I noticed the grim feeling in the air… Everyone was clearly happy to see me again, but their smiles felt somewhat forced. Something… something was wrong…
Even tired out of my mind, I could tell that something bad must have happened. I was worried… I looked around the room, and my heart sunk. Yona wasn’t here… I double, no, triple checked, but she wasn’t here in the room with them…
Either it was a combination of my exhaustion from Hell, the fight with Lew, and now, the latest stress, not even knowing if one of my mother’s died, I fainted on the spot… Before I did; I think that someone caught me, probably Ria.
*An Unknown Amount of Time Later.*
Upon waking up, I wasn’t in my bed, but in Yona’s. I sat up on the bed and I looked at Yona. Nervously taking my shaking hand, I touched her face. She was still warm! At this revelation, I started crying while hugging her.
Though, no matter what I did, she wouldn’t wake up at all. Though Yona was dressed in a nightgown, as it was decently see-through, I could see a massive wound on her back that almost wrapped around to her stomach.
The wound was horrible looking, but at least it seemed to have scarred, rather than still being an open wound. I see… Yona must have gotten injured, which is why she won’t wake up.
Lia… if I remember correctly, her eyes looked as if she was a still moving corpse. This must be her fault... Or at the very least, she blames herself for it. Yona isn’t dead, so I am taking this far better than they probably think that I am.
Yona is alive, I just have to find out a way to wake up my dear mother. I thought that going through Hell would be the must suffering I would have to endure, but it’s only been a few seconds, and I already feel as I have been crushed by a boulder…
I don’t know how long that she has been asleep for, but going by how dead inside Lia looked, she has been asleep for a while. For now, I just need to comfort Lia. Saving Yona won’t be something that can be solved in a day, after all.
This will be hard, but I need to focus on what is important and right in front of me. The guilt is probably destroying Lia… Even more, she won’t take it well when I don’t hate her for what happened. But how could I hate her?
Nia didn’t stop this from happening, and neither did Ria. Which means that the stupid fucking will of the world dictated that Yona getting hurt like this, was important to history.
Qophine: “Celia, I know that you’re going through a lot right now, but please know that I had no idea about what would happen…” She said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “What did happen exactly, Qophine?” I ask.
Qophine: “The war was won by your family with ease, but upon reaching the final step, something bad happened. A Rot Goddess, who even managed to pull the wool over my eyes, was the one that orchestrated the entire war.” She answered.
Celia: “Rot… I guess that she got stronger with people or beings dying, right? Which would explain why it all happened.” I say with a thinking pose.
Qophine: “That’s right, as for what happened to your mother…” I cut her off before she could finish her words.
Celia: “Lia rushed in to fight the Rot Goddess, and Yona protected her from a powerful attack, right?” I say with a confident tone.
Qophine: “That is correct, Celia… I am sorry, but not even I know of a way to wake Yona up.” She said with a sad tone.
Celia: “If you do get any leads, please inform me.” I reply.
Qophine: “I will. I wish you luck on waking up your dear mother, Celia.” She said with a warm tone.
Celia: “Thanks.” I reply with a weak voice.
Before leaving the bed, I gave Yona one more hug. I then slapped my face to wake myself up. Lia needed me to be strong for her… I survived every fucking layer of Hell, so surely I can do that much, right?
Making sure to tuck Yona into bed, I gave her a kiss on her forehead, and then I left her room. As they seemed to expect me to wake up quickly, they were all in the living room once more. Looking around, Lia wasn’t here…
Celia: “Everyone, we will figure out how to wake Yona up. But first, I need to save Lia. Where is she?” I ask with a calm tone.
Solia: “Lia is in her room, Celia.” She answered.
Celia: “Fuck…” I say with a serious tone.
Without even explaining my reasoning, I rushed over to Lia’s room as fast as I could. The door was locked, so I kicked it in. Sitting on the bed, was Lia, holding a knife over her wrist. Lia was about to do something that we would all regret, but I luckily got here before she could go through with it.
Lia looked at me, but I wasn’t reflected in her eyes… She wasn’t herself anymore, the guilt had caused her to go into this doll-like state.
No one could blame her for doing such a thing, as she wasn’t fully in controlled of her actions. Before, she was probably not suicidal, but seeing me faint most likely pushed her over the edge…
As to not spook her into hurting herself, I slowly approached her, and took the knife out of her hands. I tried giving her a hug, but she didn’t really respond at all…
Lia wouldn’t reply or react to anything that I did to her. No… This can’t happen… I can’t lose one of my mother’s and one of my wives all in the same day… That… it would kill me… I couldn’t handle it… I would lose all of my sanity…
With tears streaming down my face, I gave her a deep kiss. It wasn’t sexual, not in the least. I wasn’t venting my desires on her body. This wasn’t the time, and I wouldn’t do something like that to someone in this kind of mental state.
I was doing all I could to express my love and how much I needed her in my life. As I continued to hug and kiss her, Lia eventually responded. Not in a robotic or doll-like way. She was awake, and kissing me. Like that, we kept kissing, for I don’t even know how long…
