Chapter 9: Back to the Angels.

(*Celia’s POV*)

Some investigation was done, but unlike Tana’s mother and sister, her friends were actually killed by Chandler. After finding out that her family was still alive, she had some hope that her friends were as well, but that turned out to not be the case in the end.

Regardless, Tana kept living even without them in her life. Those two didn’t talk much, as they were pretty traumatized while being held captive by Chandler. They showed signs of sexual assault, so they being like this isn’t too surprising. To tend to her family, I told Tana that she could hold off on procuring the items that I asked of her, but Tana said that she could do both.

In the end, it only took her a little over a week to get a major collection of entertainment. With a happy smile, I put each item in my inventory as they showed up day by day. Now, since my goal in this world is completed, I can go back to Cimra and the rest.

Tana: “I haven’t known you long, but I will miss you, Celia.” She said with a smile.

Celia: “As will I.” I reply.

Tana: “Is there truly nothing that I can give you in return? Just those items alone don’t seem like enough to me…” She asked with an unsure expression.

Celia: “Hm… Well, I don’t know if I will ever come back to this dimension, so having an open home for me if ever I do would be very nice.” I answer.

Tana: “Of course! There will always be a place for you in our home, Celia.” She replied.

Once I was done giving her a hug, I took out that crystal thing that Cimra gave to me. With my eyes closed, I crushed it. Luckily, it seems to not be just candy this time, and when I opened up my eyes, I saw that I was once again back in the angel’s dimension.

Ah, yes, the peaceful dimension of these angels… Why is it on fucking fire!? Why does this happen so many times!? The Creator can’t control this dimension, so this is just bad fucking luck at this point… Huh? Is that Cimra? On, no! She is about to be killed!

Flying as fast as I could, I made it in time to block an attack that would have easily killed Cimra. After parrying the attack, I didn’t waste any time, and I swung my sword down upon the enemy, cutting them in two. Looking at the bisected corpse as it fell to the ground, it looked kinda like an insectoid human…

Cimra: “Celia!?” She said with a shocked expression.

Celia: “What happened here, Cimra?” I ask with a serious expression.

Cimra: “One of the sleeping Goddesses turned out to be very evil. What’s worse, is that she is a Goddess of Insects. We have been fighting her off since you left, but now her forces have evolved too much for us to handle.” She quickly explained.

Celia: “I see… Please take everyone to your office. I will handle this.” I advise before leaving.

Without waiting for Cimra to ask me, I went around to all of the angels that were being attacked, saved them, and then I advised them to go to Cimra’s office. If they’re scattered, it is hard for them to survive, but together than could kill these weird creatures.

*Some Time Later.*

After killing thousands upon thousands of those strange insect dudes, I ended up outside a giant bug cacoon. Is this where that Goddess is camping out? How grand… With caution, I ventured into the cacoon. this is where I found out that I was wrong…

Murder wasn’t their intention, as was clear by the angels in weird organic tubes proved. I don’t know what the purpose of doing this was, but I had no intentions on figuring out. As such, I freed the various angels that were trapped. Their clothes were gone, so I, at the very least, got a reward by seeing them naked…

I had to deal with big insects, and the further in I got, I encountered more stronger ones. Insects similar to the humanoid ones, but even stronger by a decent bit. I truly wished that I could use my System to peep at their Status, but that wasn’t an option at the moment, as it is restricted in this dimension.

Now that I think about it, I also couldn’t use it in Tana’s dimension as well… Do the angels have some way to prevent me from using my System? I guess that I have to ask Cimra this when I am done dealing with this Goddess.

Eventually, I ended up in a giant room full of every kind of enemy insects that I’ve faced until this point. Like I was about to kill their mother, they rushed at me with reckless abandon. My strength was far too much for them to withstand, and the strongest ones could only hope to land a slight scratch on me.

The scratches didn’t even bleed, so I haven’t actually lost any HP this entire time. Dealing with Chandler didn’t give me any reason to appreciate my new evolution, but now I truly do. Even at max level in my last evolution, I wouldn’t be able to have such an easy time with this. In fact, I would have had to ask Cimra and the others for help.

Ah, while thinking about this, I had killed all of the insects. Now, all that was left was a woman in a giant amber see-through egg. I approached the egg, and as I was about to use a crazy amount of magic to kill it, I heard a voice from the egg.

Voice: “Wait! Please don’t kill me!” She pleaded.

Celia: “And why should I wait? You have hurt my friends and have tried to kill me. No waiting, you’re probably just stalling for time until you can hatch.” I reply with a serious tone.

Raising my hand, I start to channel mana in front of it. For fun, I wanted to mix a lot of different kinds of magic, just to see what would happen. This little cheeky Goddess has given me the perfect chance to test this method out in the field.

Voice: “Noooo!! I swear that I am not stalling, and that I had no intentions of doing this! Please, I just woke up and saw this happening! I had no control over it, I swear!” She pleaded.

Fuck… If Ria was here, I could get proof that this woman wasn’t lying… Ah, wait. She isn’t? I can just tell that she is saying the truth… Is this what Ria can do? How overpowered… With a sigh, I got rid of the mana and lowered my hand.

I didn’t care for her name, but what she said was true. Both Cimra and I were wrong, and this was just an accident. Luckily, no one was killed, but I highly doubt that this woman will ever pass her tests and exams any time soon…

Annoyingly, I had to stick with her until she hatched, as this giant cacoon kept spewing out insects. After six days of playing a very patient pest control person, the woman had finally hatched. Cimra and the rest were already informed about what happened, so I went back to my apartment to sleep. Right before I fell asleep, I realized that I didn’t give them those pieces of entertainment. But I can easily do that tomorrow, as I am beyond tired right now…
