His fingers suddenly came over, tapping on the keys.

“Ye Fan, I don’t know why, but…” He Han’s familiar voice rang out beside her.

It was deep with a little tinge of huskiness.

He Han’s fingers touched lightly on the keys intermittently as the sound of the piano rang throughout the room.

The atmosphere gradually, slowly, tensed up.

Ye Fan’s heart jumped and she felt inexplicably uneasy.

There seemed to be a force pressing against Ye Fan, looking into the depths of her heart.

He Han went on, continuing the question perfectly.

“I constantly get the feeling that you’re hiding something from me.”

Ye Fan was shocked. Her heart was beating like mad.

Her lips were pursed together, and she was lightly biting on them out of anxiety.

Ye Fan still didn’t turn around, showing her exquisitely beautiful profile to him.

She was looking down on the black and white piano keys so he couldn’t see her face.

But Ye Fan’s fingers on the keys stiffened.

The secret in her heart was seen through, and she was silent.

When she came into this world, the long hours she spent acting have already given Ye Fan the instincts of an actress.

She quickly calmed herself down, showing no chinks in her armor whether it be in her expression or her voice.

Ye Fan quickly spoke  up, “You’re overthinking it, He Han.”

A clear and cold voice broke the silence.

She tapped carelessly on the keys, and ass the music sounded, it soothed the atmosphere.

“We’ve known each other for quite a while now, haven’t we?”

He Han chuckled silently.

He did not say anything and just looked at Ye Fan.

“You already know very clearly about my matters.” Ye Fan was pointing about Dudu’s existence.

Of course, Ye Fan was sure that He Han wouldn’t be able to find out about the relationship between Dudu and himself by any means.

“How could I possibly have any secrets?” Ye Fan lifted her head and looked him in the eye.

Their eyes crossed through the air.

Time became quiet for a moment.

An adlib performance seemed to have unfolded between the two actors.

He Han was trying to probe Ye Fan to see what she was thinking.

Ye Fan, on the other hand, was trying to cover up her emotions so He Han couldn’t tell she was flustered.

Unfortunately, even the most skillful acting can not hide from deliberately searching eyes.

The thoughts in her eyes were unmistakable.

A moment later.

Ye Fan said, “I still have to practice.”

“Then let’s not talk for now?” He Han did not have the slightest intentions of leaving and leaned by the piano.

Ye Fan did not shoo him off either. Helplessly, she could only sit in front of the piano and start playing.

He Han was standing there at the side, continuing to watch her without a sound.

Ye Fan’s fingers played the piano in a fluid motion.

He Han did not move his eyes away this whole time, and his eyes were completely focused.

Whether he was listening to the piano or watching her, nobody knew.

For some reason, Ye Fan couldn’t calm down.

Even though she could clearly feel that this man beside her was showing no signs of leaving.

The more chaotic Ye Fan’s heart felt, the more restless the sound of the piano became.

A layman may not be able to hear it, but she knew that her playing wasn’t clean.

The song ended.

Ye Fan put down the lid of the piano. She decided to stop for the day.

“I’m going to be returning to the dorm now. The recording is going to start soon.” Ye Fan raised her head to look at He Han.

He Han swept his gaze over her face, then he gave a light hum in response.

Ye Fan got up and left. Before she could get far, He Han’s deep voice rang out.

“I’ll go and see Dudu a bit later.” His voice sounded relaxed and normal.

It sounded very ordinary, like he was going home to see his son later.

Ye Fan’s footsteps paused for half a beat. She, who had always been calm, was getting flustered again.

She nodded and said in a calm voice, “Sure.”

Ye Fan quickened her steps and walked out of the piano room.

But while she was walking, there seemed to be a trace of anxiety in her figure, like she was covering something up.

She did not even close the door behind her before she hurried up.

He Han was left standing there alone in the empty room.

It was late autumn, and a bitter wind had blown in from the outside.

The cold wind passed through the room, bringing with it a whistle.

He Han reached up.

His fingers swept across his Adam’s apple inadvertently.

With one hand, he loosened his tie slightly.

He Han looked at the door that was left open and thought of Ye Fan’s expression, her slightly curved lips, as well as the distinct line of her jaw.

In the silence of the piano room, he let out a low guttural laugh.
